United States | 16 May 2019STAY AWAY!!! This is one of the worst and most incompetent companies I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Before move-in. They had no idea about the square footage or dimensions of anything. They said the apartment is 975 square feet, but they can't give us any dimensions. How big is the living room? What are the sizes of each room? No idea. This is supposed to be their job. How was this 975 square foot number even calculated? Nobody knows. I called various agents and managers and nobody could tell me anything. After move-in. A lot of things weren't working properly and you wouldn't really know during the move-in inspection. There's no such thing as "maintenance" anything that went wrong we had to take care of it (even though it was broken before we moved in) and we had to pay for it. Not a single door in any room locked. They had buttons for locking, there was clearly a locking mechanism, but none of them worked. We had to go to home depot ourselves and replace every door handle in every room of the apartment. The laundry machines were busted. They didn't work properly, the door to the washing machine was literally broken. We had to pry it open with a screw driver every time we needed to do laundry. We wouldn't know this until after we moved in and did laundry. And of course they didn't mention it or take care of the problem beforehand. They tried charging us an "HOA fee" and a plumping fee for "water damages" caused to the downstairs apartment during Christmas break. I was literally on the other side of the country spending time with my family when I receive a nice notice from them that there was water damage or some leak or whatever to the apartment below us that apparently we were liable for? When they sent plumbers to our apartment to check out the damage, there was nothing. No trace of water damage of any kind or any evidence that there was any water leak on our end. But we were liable for it. Apparently. Oh, and they wanted us to pay the plumber even though we didn't call for one or ask for one. When we tried to contest this, they simply stopped responding to our emails. I sent them MANY emails about this. We renewed the lease and of course they increased the rent, as most places do I suppose. They were supposed to do an annual inspection of our apartment to point out and abnormalities or problems with the place that we should be aware of or fix. This was in our lease, saying they would do this. They did not do this. Before move-out. After we announced we were moving out after two years of the lease, their move-out "process" (if it could even be called that) was a nightmare. In the last month of our lease they literally tried calling or emailing us EVERY SINGLE DAY asking to schedule an appointment with potential future tenants to come look at the place. Imagine having random people coming to your place where you live all the time, sometimes with less than 24 hours notice. We were okay with it in the beginning because we thought it was just for a bit, but they took it too far. After about 1-2 weeks we had to put our foot down and say "enough." It's absurd that we were paying rent for a place for privacy and living space and have that privacy violated on an almost daily basis. It's like they absolutely cannot wait to rent out the place IMMEDIATELY after we leave because they can't lose a single dime. The worst part is, after I told them that we weren't okay with having anymore people coming to look at our apartment, they literally went BEHIND OUR BACK by emailing one of our OTHER roommates who wasn't CC'd to the email. We caught that almost instantly but that's some super shady and unprofessional behavior. They also had multiple agents asking us to show the place and we kept having to say "no" to multiple people. We hired Amazon's apartment move-out cleaning service. It's a real thing and they do a pretty good job at it for a decent price (I think it was about $150). During this move-out email they didn't tell us when they would hold their move-out inspection or that we would even get to PARTICIPATE in it. Uhh... After move-out. They sent us "move-in welcome" automated emails even though we were moving out. They removed $2200 of our $2995 deposit which is absurd. They charged $950 for cleaning even though we had the entire apartment cleaned and left it with nothing more than typical wear-and-tear after living there for two years. The remaining $1250 was for the mysterious plumbing and water leak issue that never got addressed. I emailed them about these absurd security deposit charges again and they just never replied. I've lived in dozens of different apartments and never had so much security deposit removed. We sued them in the small claims court to get the rest of our deposit back. After a tedious FIVE MONTH legal battle (which they unnecessarily stalled out as much as they could), they lost and the court ruled in our favor. OneRent had to pay us $2000 OF THE SECURITY DEPOSIT THEY STOLE, PLUS COURT FEES. Justice was served. It's not worth doing business with them, just don't.

United States | 06 May 2019Very Professional and Efficient! Thanks so much for your service, Onerent. I am not the tenent, my daughter is. She asked me to co-sign with her and her friend. The process was very smooth and professional. The documents were understandable. If I needed to rent, I would request Onerent to assist with my search!

United States | 03 May 2019Jayson was incredibly helpful and customer-focused. He solved my problem in five seconds whereas the person I spoke to before him was unable to do so!

United States | 01 May 2019These guys are INCREDIBLY disorganized. They ask for the same information they already have - forwarded emails, copied texts, etc that they ALREADY HAVE. Many issues they let drop until you bug them about it over and over. Keeping up with these guys is a serious task. Their website is slick and works well, and their people are typically friendly but honestly if you see their name on anything just avoid them - guarantee they will cost you $$ just to pick up their slack.

United States | 20 April 2019THE WORSE SERVICE AND ABILITY OF ANY COMPANY I HAVE DEALT WITH!! The idea is great but the execution is absolutely terrible!! The people are not trained properly and come across very unprofessional. There are no personal email or phone number so that you can contact the person handling your account easily, and when you call no one knows who the person is you are trying to reach. The emails are not at all helpful. And when the person you are dealing with is off, there is no one assigned to take over. I as the owner was disappointed and would not trust them again, BUT when I contacted the new tenant they said they were so happy to deal with me because they had such a bad time with the people at Onerent, they were worried that something would go wrong and they would not get moved in. STAY AWAY FROM ONERENT.

United States | 20 April 2019They are quite disorganized, the website isn't very user friendly (difficult to edit personal info, no direct links to the other listings they are attempting to recommend, etc.), I've had to repeat most of my information multiple times over the phone, online, and in person to them, and the techs don't seem very well informed themselves, all of which makes it increasingly uncomfortable to give them the extreme breadth of personal information that they require. The woman who showed me the property wasn't exactly friendly, and repeatedly calls me to push me to get things done even though I've given her a specific timeline for when she can expect to receive my forms. Maybe she's just having a junk week. I'd only use them again if I didn't have any other avenues to explore.

United States | 19 April 2019We were losing faith , all hope was out the window. I applied to one more property, and then I got a call. I thought it was a scam at first. They started flooding me with viewings of numerous homes to rent. Onerent got me in a home that we absolutely love! And it happened so fast that we forgot we were losing hope. I strongly recommend Onerent to all those looking for a home!!

United States | 13 April 2019Onerent has been great with my husband and I in finding an apartment. They've been knowledgeable, friendly and very efficient. I've even been able to do a lot of the paperwork online and on my phone, which has been super handy and helpful with my busy schedule!

United States | 13 April 2019Every step has been simple and organized. That is not the usual experience when searching and renting homes. Onerent has been so stress-free. Every person I've communicated with has been above-the-limit nice and perfectly professional. I have already been telling everyone I know about Onerent! It's magic!

United States | 09 April 2019I had an absolutely horrible experience trying to rent from them. Reps literally hung up when I tried to contact them about any problem I was having. They took months to get me documentation I needed to move in, and refused to change the move in dates correspondingly (as little as 2 days notice). More than 2 months after I tried to rent the apartment, they called to ask if I was having any difficulty paying, so i'd guess their work behind the scenes is just as terrible. Best of luck if you work with them.

United States | 20 March 2019Hi my name is Ty, my experience with Onerents from my first communication with staff members has been fantastic. The Friendly, Courteous and Professional services have been outstanding. From the scheduling of the appointment showing to the easy online application process and payment processing. From the daily followup through out my move and Ofelio attention to all details. I couldn't be happier with my new resident and the entire staff that assisted me from start to finish. I wished You and Your Families the very best Always take good care Ty Wade of El Sobrante, Cal.

United States | 17 March 2019Onerent has been managing a couple of my properties in the East bay for the last few years, and they have performed at an amazing standard. They have been a big help in finding me reliable tenants, and performing exceptional maintenance service in a timely matter. A few months ago, a water heater in one of our propertys broke, and started leaking. The tenants also lost their hot water. Within 24 hours, onerent was able to get a vendor out there to asses, and fix the issue, all while providing me with updates and communication throughout the day. Their focus on customer service has been incredible, and I couldn't recommend this company enough.

United States | 13 March 2019One rent is the best Property Management that owners can dream of. We are highly satisfied home owners after renting our property in Dublin with them. They always deposited rent on time every month. From beginning till the end all transactions were transperent and breeze. They are good with emails. We highly recommended them!

United States | 13 March 2019I had a few concerns with Onerent, and i spoke with several individuals at the company. The individuals promised to take care of the problems, however they were never resolved. I then spoke with Toni Arias. She was Excellent and spoke very good english as well as knew how to handle the issues. She solved the problem and also followed up with an email and extended a gift to my wife and I for the inconvenience. Thank you Onerent, and especially Toni Arias.

United States | 11 March 2019you shouldn’t waste your time with this company. A couple of friends and I checked out a house they rent and we really liked some of the things they offer. Although, it was in a bad neighborhood & we had some questions. The lady who was showing the house knew nothing about it (like if there was heating, if we could remove the furniture). She just wrote down our questions & said they’d be answered later. Literally 30 minutes later we get a text from whoever’s trying to sell us on this house urging us to submit an application because it’s “high in demand,” which we really doubt. There are potholes everywhere on the street, hundreds of piles of wet clothes, and homeless drug addicts just a few blocks away. We told this person about our questions & concerns, getting no response. I really do not recommend trying to get in touch with this company as they have a lack of communication. We probably would have gone further down the rental process with them if they weren’t so odd. Really frustrating.

United States | 05 March 2019I was skeptical to use an agent as I have always done the rental myself. One Rent exceeded my expectations in all aspects of the rental process from the listing, showing, and paperwork preparation. They transferred all funds due timely.
