In the process of backing up my wife’s important data the thumb drive’s interface circuits failed leaving the device unusable. Do Not work with these people they stole or would not return my hardware and $600. I sent 2 drives 1 good and identical 1 bad (Dropped on floor-mechanical issue). There was nothing wrong with the platters yet FDR failed to retrieve any info and only returned 1 drive. Not returning my 2nd drive is theft! It is larceny to keep a customers property. Any recommendations how to press charges? I am doing everything to hold FDR accountable and disputed payment on the $600. There was significant personal confidential info on that drive! Help Hold this Company Liable for their Actions!

After transferring my whole computer onto a few year old external hard drive and starting new I went to get some documents off it and it wouldn't mount to my Mac. I thought it would all be lost; after research I came across Field Data Recovery on Google. They respond quickly and offer potential price and offered to look at the old drive and send it back if I was not comfortable with their pricing. When all was done the price was affordable for me small business and they sent all my data back on a new external hard drive that was formatted to my Mac. Absolutely the worst customer service on earth. Their director of customer service is an absolute liar, 8 months now, and they still refuse to return my drive!!! Insanity!! They did not follow any of their own guidelines, no file list was ever sent. The even tried to tell me that my drive had been lost in the mail, when tracking clearly showed they had signed for it. Such an absolute scam!!! Do not give them any money!!! Read the Multiple horror stories on Yelp and google fields data recovery scam, I wish I had before giving a dime to these thieves.

I was unable to get a 2TB external hard drive to start up. I contacted Fields Data for help. They quoted me a range of possible cost, which seemed high. They encouraged me to send it in. It still seemed high. I finally decided to let them fix it. They did recover the data. I received a smaller replacement drive smaller size, but data was recovered successfully. Good service, but too costly.

They were able to retrieve everything from my crashed hard drive. So thankful to get 10 years of pics back as well as my iTunes library. They did try, but were unsuccessful, to retrieve my pics and videos from my cell that also crashed. They were very professional and kept me up to date on costs and progress. Received hard drive back very quickly with all of my important files recovered. I've learned my lesson now of backing important files up to multiple places so I hope to not have to use this service again, but if I did, I could do so knowing that they work well and work quickly.
