I received 7 sales calls before I sent my failed external hard drive to St. Louis. Only a day or two after it was shipped, I got a call saying that the drive was unreadable most likely due to bad read/write heads. If I paid them $800 they would install new heads and there would be a 90% chance that my data would be recovered. I paid the $800. A couple days later I got an email letting me know that it had been a total failure & no data was recovered. What a racket! This company is a total scam artist. They should be investigated.

Got my drive repaired for a lot cheaper than other places. They said it would be a full recovery. They sent a new drive with recovered data, but lots of data was missing. Luckily, I asked to have the original drive sent also and it had all of the data on it. Emails are very slow to be responded to and customer service is not responsive at all. Make sure to ask for a file list BEFORE YOU PAY!!!

I'd lost irreplaceable video material. My remaining hope was they might be on a dead external hard drive. I sent the drive to Fields DataRecovery whose diagnostic service located them at no cost to me. I had the missing files back in a couple of days. Great, prompt service!

Field data did a great job recovering the data off of two of my MS Surface Pro computers. The only problem I had was some communication issues with the people who were working on my data loss. All in all they came through for me and were able to recover all of what I thought I had lost.

Lies Lies Lies Lies Lies This company is a SCAM company. They will lure you in with cheap quote, only to call you to state that it will be over £800+VAT to recover, along with the ubiquitous "Well, how much is your data worth". Quite surprised they are in business still, so I aim to close them down once and for all. Enough is enough, here is your nemesis.

Fields Data Recovery was able to recover all the data on my backup hard drive. They were able to do what they say on their website. For those out there who don't know or understand a lot about the digital process of recovery, it is a tenuous process. Anywhere you send your hard drives for recovery, you are taking a chance. Fields Data Recovery did a wonderful job for me, and did it in a timely manner.

A friend recommended them to me so I trusted they were competent. He sent in the Hard Drive and they said it would cost $880. I called them to give them my contact information and pay. I gave them all my pertinent information, paid the $880, and never heard from them again. The paperwork I got when I paid had a support email address that I tried twice and never got a response so I called 3 months later and they had the wrong name on the account and couldn't even call me by my name, on the phone, though I gave it to them twice. Come to find out they had decided that nothing was recoverable on the second month and couldn't contact me to let me know that my $880 was for naught. I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody.

A year ago I had an external drive that failed. I contacted another recovery site but their charges were more than I could pay. When the drive was returned to me I reached out to Fields Data Recovery and sent them my drive. There was a period of some confusion because I thought I was working with a different tech who I had spoken to on the phone. They explained exactly what was needed to recover data and in response to my concern about the cost reduced their fee. It still is an expensive lesson--always have a backup to avoid having to use their services. Eventually, I received a thumb drive with my recovered files. Unfortunately, not all files were recovered. They did not promise they would be able to restore 100% of the drive but I believe they did their best. Of the two companies I contacted, I would use Fields Data Recovery again, if needed. My only regret is that I didn't have a backup of the external drive and to get files I didn't want to lose I had to use their service. I would have rated them a four or five if I hadn't had the confusion at the beginning and if I had received 100% of my files, but some of that was out of their control and mine.

There's a reason why they have an F rating on BBB. Won't return phone calls and won't return your hard drive. Try to upsell you on $800-$1000 worth of data recovery services.

my experience with fields data recovery was so awful,rude people and on top of that they didn't recovery my data out all! wouldn't recommend seek other alternatives!

Please don't try recovery in Fields Data Recovery. I paid $640 and waited for 6 weeks. I heard "Unfortunately Our processes were unsuccessful in recovering any data from your hard drive. Please accept our apologies that no recovery possible". And they just sent some images that show my hard drive and let me know "we will return your device ASAP". I don't know how people got their recovered data and give a good review. In my experience, don't choose to send the drive to 1010 Market Street, Suite 590, St. Louis, MO 63101. In initial diagnosis, he said he couldn't detect any visible damage except one part of it, so he suggested me to try repair the drive with new parts for a damaged part and I agreed with it. And now he said he couldn't recover because of more damage in the parts of my drive. In his summary, nothing will be recovered. Be careful with recovery rate that they inform. It doesn't mean anything with the real data recovery. So please don't try to waste your money and time!!!

Incredibly quick for the initial response and excellent turn around time. I literally got a call from them within 5 minutes of leaving a contact request on their site. They will follow up and keep you informed on each step of the process.I hope i never lose another harddrive..but if i do i'll use Fields again.

Over all Great Service. they are quick and they accommodate my modified request. you really get what you paid for. Quality is good and they recovered all my data.
