About First American Home Warranty

First American home warranty plans provide a safeguard for your budget when your home’s systems and appliances break down. When a covered item unexpectedly stops working, we’re here to help with getting it working again. As a leader in the home warranty industry since 1984, you can count on the protection, experience and stability of First American Home Warranty. Appliances and home systems will eventually fail. It’s unavoidable. A home warranty offers you a renewable service contract you can use to protect systems in your home such as heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical, as well as major appliances like your dishwasher, oven, clothes washer/dryer, refrigerator, and more. With our home warranty protection, when a covered item breaks, we’ll send a pre-screened service contractor to your home to diagnose the issue. Many of our customers request service multiple times each year and save hundreds to thousands of dollars on repair and replacement costs. These types of mechanical failures are typically not covered by your homeowners insurance, so a home warranty can help bridge that gap in protection by shielding your budget from these sudden expenses. Benefits of a First American home warranty: • A simple solution when something breaks • Protection from huge, unexpected repair or replacement bills • 24/7 service requests • Unlimited service calls We offer a variety of affordable warranty plans and options so you can customize your coverage to fit your home and budget. Repair team had to come out several times to fix the problem as I sat in a cold house waiting for repairs.

I am a former customer of Firs Ameria, I was there for several years but it is a lie when they say that you change the air conditioning or the condenser. In my case, the company they sent me told me that they never change the condenser or any large part of the air conditioning. They can only fix something small that first America doesn't want you to change the air conditioning system ever, but now I'm looking at their promotion that says first Ameca if you change the air conditioning it is completely ruined. I also knocked on my garage door. the engine broke down. First, the United States did not want to change the garage door motor. Garage, please don't be fooled. First, America, they just want to steal your monthly money and when your air conditioner or garage door opener is faulty, they don't want to help you. If you repair the refrigerator and the washing machine, be very careful.

There was an attempt to overcharge me for "modifications" which are not covered. There was not need for them on the install. Got my money back but had to fight for it.

Although some of my experiences with First American Home Warranty have been questionable, my latest experience has been excellent.

This company is horrible. Service requests take weeks to get fixed. They have a few repair companies that they use, and they are horrible. If you have an emergency, they will NOT rush to get the service you need and if you get a service contractor yourself, they will not cover it. I do not recommend this warranty company.

They were very considerate and prompt and knew what was wrong immediately. I would prefer the same people to come out and do any plumbing issue I have

15 years and done with them so clear in photo it is normal wear and tear and they say it is not. That pipe has been there for 25 years and has never failed but just broke due to wear and tear so why would they disapprove it? Even the contractor who visited the site said the part got worn out with time!

FAHW did a very good job, they were friendly and efficient. The pnly problem came from their choice of a substandard contractor (EMS: rude, inefficient, incompetent) whom they had to replace with another much better contractor

I haven't had an experience - I haven't even moved in the house. I am attempting to coordinate everything, but I do have one question. When does my home warranty expire and how do I renew - I believe it is good for a year and it is worked into my mortgage payment. Will that continue?

The tech called to let me know he would be a little late, which I liked. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, showed me where the light was located.

The heating and air company that was dispatched to handle our furnace. Issue was prompt to respond and react… The technician that arrived was very thorough and very professional, providing quite a bit information on what their services cover and any subsequent problems that may occur they would stand behind their work.

I'm quite disappointed. I requested something, and they neglected to tell me it wasn't actually covered until after they'd sent a technician to my house. The repairman initially said I needed a new part and it would be 5-7 days before they could get one. I gave them that time, tried to call the repairman directly, and nothing. I had to complain to FAHW and they said they'd look into it. Nothing. I had to call again and they told me it would be fixed. Then the next day they called and said no, actually it's not covered after all. I wish they had told me it wasn't covered before agreeing to send someone to look into it.
