United States | 15 September 2024The plumbing company that I was assigned rescheduled my plumbing appointment 2 times without advising me the plumbing company contacted American homewarranty and not me. I texted and called the plumbing company twice .They didn't return my calls or my text the second time. They arrived three days later. The plumbers were very personable and Knowledgeable. The plumbers left after there estimate, and never called or text me to adise that they filled the paper work and advised that the broken pipe in my wall was an accident, therefor American home warranty would not cover the repair, The pipe broke in my wall. I'm not sure how they considered it an accident. I didn't do anything to my wall. Or to the pipe. I would never recommend nor will I ever want to work with this plumbing company again.

United States | 15 September 2024I would give zero stars if possible. On Thursday my water heater burst and we put in a claim. They assigned me a plumber that was working out of town until the following Tuesday. He said he told them but they assigned him anyway. So on Friday I informed them he was out of town and to re assign me a plumber that is actually working. They said for me to wait for dispatch to email me with another plumber. Well it is now Saturday morning and no plumber has called me. So I called again and asked talk to a supervisor and he said that dispatch was on the phone as we speak trying to find a plumber and I should know something soon. Well it’s Saturday night and still no call. There are over 900 plumbers in my city and they can’t find one? I highly discourage any one to purchase their home warranty’s. I think they are delaying the repair until you hire your own plumber and then they can deny the claim. What a joke. BEWARE

United States | 14 September 2024My Air Condition unit went out in July 2024. EMS home warranty company was sent out to repair the air condition issue, however, the unit is still not repaired. I notified the company and my home warranty that the same problem keeps happening. The same company came back out and proclaimed to fix the problem. I have called the home warranty and the repair company more than five times to get assistance and unable to get the A/C unit repaired. I have asked to speak with a manager with both companies but no return calls and was informed that they can only send an email for communication. As of today, Sept 13, 2024, My A/C unit is still not repaired, no call back from either company, and when I call both companies I get the run-around. This company deserves zero stars.

United States | 13 September 2024Fridge went out a month ago. Two technicians came out to inspect. First one arrived 2 weeks after claim and defrosted the fan, which we had done 3 times previously. It worked for approximately 5 minutes. Second tech doesn’t service the R600 used in the fridge and reported it to First American. Called today to inform First American that the 3rd technician had yet to contact us and was informed that I would receive an email tomorrow about locating my own technician. At this point we have been without a fridge for almost a month. Not having a place to store food is unacceptable. First American should better vet their service providers or should have just replaced the fridge if they cannot locate a qualified technician. Update 9/27/24: Third technician came out last week on 9/16/24 and informed us that they also do not service r600 butane compressors. Photos were taken, payment was made, invoice, and outside reimbursement form were emailed in. I never received the phone call American First said I would on the day they updated their reply. The reimbursement check will take 1-2 days to process and 7-10 days to reach me so I’m hoping if not by Saturday I’ll receive my $125 back next week. I accepted AmFirst’s option to replace my fridge with a model of their choosing with the option to decline and locate my own with an in lieu of cash option. That was a week ago with no update on what model they chose or the value in which they are willing to replace my refrigerator. I am unable to see the replacement option selected on the website as it only shows a reimbursement has been approved for my technician fee we paid for out of pocket. I left a message on the service request on the website stating my frustration and the fact that we have now gone at least a month and a half without a fridge. Apparently the escalation of my claim to higher management has failed to result in anything being done. I’ll update again when anything happens. We will buy a used fridge to hold us over for the time being.
