Let's start with the good. The windows and doors (manufactured by someone else) look fantastic and really lift my home! Lots of compliments from my neighbours already. The installers (sub-contractors) were great, really friendly and clean. However, everything to do directly with Caddy was painful. The quoting process was a shambles. In between having quotes updated, and then choosing a combination of upvc sash and casement, they forgot to put on installation costs despite having visited the property twice and made it look like the installation costs were as part of the window price. In one revision they removed half the windows and when I asked for them to be reinstated, said that it would be on the new higher price bands, until I repeatedly had to show them their mistake. They switched door manufacturers in this time, but didn't bother telling me so I didn't notice until the last minute that the colour had changed, and had no choice but to accept it. They almost forgot to include the letterbox but luckily caught this at the last minute. So many basic errors, no quality assurance, and no apology from anyone ever. In their spec, making good says using antique architrave. What they actually mean is 140mm wide skirting boards meant for floors, all over your floors. Instead of using normal 70-90mm window architrave, giving you the option to plaster around the edges, they oversize it to cover any possible gaps which are filled with foam, and so ready be plastered over. Everyone who has seen them laughs because they look ridiculous as they're so big. Even the installer commented that everyone complains about skirting boards being installed on their walls. When I raised this with Caddy, they just said that this is their standard approach, but that I could have specified architrave widths if you want, they just don't bother to tell you what you're getting or that you have an option. On one window, instead of cutting the timbers to be flush with the wall, they just nailed two batons together and now the skirting board sits 10mm off the wall, and is so big that it actually covers the cornicing in the room. I asked Caddy if they thought this was quality they would be proud of, and they said they were, so I'm sharing the photos and my experience so everyone can see for themselves. Lots of remedial work to do indoors now, and takes the shine off an otherwise lovely product

From the start Jamie has been incredibly personable and friendly and has been great at answering our queries and helping to point us in the right direction - nothing has been too much trouble and he's always taken the time to get back to me. Once we confirmed we were going to use Caddy a survey was conducted straight away and we recieved our receipt promptly. The gentlemen fitters were brilliant- thorough and hardworking with great attention to detail and were very personable too. We are delighted with our windows and front door and would absolutely recommend Caddy to anyone (and we will definitely use them again in the future). Thank you to the entire team at Caddy Windows! We had a great experience with Caddy Windows. From start to finish they were friendly, professional and approachable. I loved that I was able to see a mock-up of how our new windows would look in our house, before committing to purchasing them. The installation team were great - friendly, got the job done very quickly and were very tidy. I also thought the price of the windows was reasonable, and in line with others locally. I’m pleased we used a local company rather than a national one! The only small point for feedback was that I had to call them a couple of days before our provisional installation date to find out if it was confirmed, when the team would arrive and what we needed to do to prepare etc. This absolutely didn’t impact on our overall very good impression of the company as a whole though.

Initial enquiry was dealt with by Jamie Churches. He was efficient and professional. The whole job inside and out was done speedily and completed to a high standard.

Recently fitted new double glazing to upstairs floor. Fitters were pretty tidy and conscientious, getting the job done in 2 days. Nicely finished and they had the best price of 4 companies/self employed I tried in and outside Bristol. Will be going back for the lower floor, very happy with the result.

So the title is to draw attention, that you should really really consider your options before committing to a deposit with this company. As once they have your deposit they will try all tactics to avoid actually speaking with you should you wish to even discuss cancelling. The installation director will try and avoid calling you at almost any cost - he’s either out of the office (although emails you back in 15mins) or his line is busy, or they can send him a Skype message but he never calls you back. I have tried for 8 days to get my money refunded and am still no further forward. The reason we are looking to cancel our £7000 order is due to a current ongoing issue with a poor installation. Damaged tiles and very poor rendering, a damaged blind in the process, but what has really tipped us over is the unprofessional customer service. I accept that sometimes things go wrong, but it’s how you deal with it that separates the good from the awful. We have tried (very nicely) to get a refund on the deposit paid, due to lack of confidence in their abilities as well as the right to cancel an offsite agreement within 14 days. I have been met with terms and conditions saying a cancellation fee is applicable for the measuring up? Of the £1000 I have paid they have offered just over £600 back. They also have (although they will respond to this I’m sure with a contrary story) 2 different types of installation teams - regarded as A1 if you have spent a lot of money, and not so good if it’s a smaller order - this came from 2 different people, the salesperson and the installation manager. Trust pilot is a place to have your say, and if you look at the responses to bad reviews, here and on google, they will engage in rhetoric that makes them look good - thus disregarding the freedom of an actual opinion. In my opinion things start out good but if you have a concern or problem, it goes south quite quickly. How they are 4.7 out of 5 is beyond me. And although they will have plenty of good reviews and satisfied customers, there is something not quite right about this.

Look - Double Glazing companies are always viewed with a bit of trepidation thanks to years of bad press. We've needed our windows/doors changing since we moved in - they were old, knackered and looked disgusting, but the fact that I had to deal with a Double Glazing company was really making me put the job off. Caddy Windows came recommended to me by a work colleague - so I took a deep breath and made the call. The sales rep that came round was courteous, COVID safe and took the time to listen to our requirements and was able to produce detailed mock ups of what our house would look like with the choices we made. I'll level with you - I was difficult on the price, but the company listened to me, and we brilliant about coming to a mutually beneficial agreement where we were both able to come away with a win, which is exactly the sort of negotiation you want. The communication on lead time and installation was superb, it was easy to make safe and secure online payments and receipts/invoices were received instantly to give you confidence in the transactions. The installation team arrived on time (8am every day) and changed all the windows and both front and back doors in a 3 bed semi in 2.5 days. The installation manager Mark turned up after they had finished, snagged the job with me and spotted a couple of small things to rectify (which were done the same day). Furthermore, when my wife spotted a small issue with one of the windows, and I raised with Caddy (somewhat sheepishly as I'd missed it on the snagging walk...) Mark himself turned up the next day and fixed it himself. From the Sales Director, Dan, down to the installation planning team this is a superb company to buy from. The finished product is EXACTLY what we wanted - it look superb, it's miles warmer than our old windows, and I have the confidence of a 10 year guarantee on the whole lot as well. I would highly recommend Caddy to anyone looking for Windows/Doors, and I would definitely use them again
