While the administration and office were very professional, the actual movers were not. My “foreman” tried to shack me down for more money as soon as I opened the door. He started complaining immediately and asking for a bigger tip and threatened to quit when I tried to explain that I had already tipped on my card. I carried the heaviest items myself and he still complained. By the end, my desk was cracked and my brand new bed is now wobbly so make sure to take pics of your entire inventory. I wish I hadn’t tipped ahead of time and I will not hire this company again.

Dumbo Moving offered the best price - probably $250 less than the other 2 moving companies that I contacted. The movers arrived at my house at 7am and carefully and efficiently had everything loaded into the truck within an hour and a half. They moved my daughter into a 5 floor walk-up in the snow and everything arrived in perfect condition. I highly recommend them!

I had to book last minute for a move from Brooklyn to Manhattan. After running into difficulties with scheduling other companies because of the short notice, I tried Dumbo. I worked with Luis in the office. He was very quick to respond and the process was really easy and smooth. The price wasn’t cheap, but cheaper than competitors’ quotes. Wasn’t a huge move but the two man team, led by Victor, who did it were very professional and swift. Would absolutely recommend Dumbo Moving to someone else.

Great service. Our driver Jack was very informative and kept me updated throughout the process. I was given a two-hour delivery slot the day before delivery which helped me plan my day. I was also given a much closer timeframe when I was the next drop. Great to know there's a service of this kind. Will use them again in the future without any hesitation.

Chose Dumbo based on lowest quote Prices were not transparent. Sales team was not willing to disclose how prices were determined and when we removed items, price change did not match what common sense would assume. It was "funny" how adding an item had such an outsized impact to total cost versus removing. When I asked the sales associate, he got very angry and defensive that I would dare question the breakdown. Sales associate was very communicative and easy to talk to while obtaining quote but so much less so once we got closer to move day. We were promised 5 wardrobe boxes to rent at no charge. when we removed 3 paid wardrobe boxes from our order ($25 each), the sales associate also removed the 5 free boxes without calling this out. Our mistake for not catching this on the revised invoice, but removing the agreed upon free boxes was not expected so I did not think to check Once we realized this on move day, Movers would not allow us to use wardrobe boxes they had in their truck Overall - Would strongly suggest you ask for a detailed invoice while requesting your quote so you agree how price might change when adding / removing items vs being scammed

I am very thrilled with Dumbo. My first experience moving with a moving company. Starting with Martin who oversaw everything for us. Fast replies to my text messages, quick to return calls. Then came the George’s. Two very professional, courteous, respectful people. When I plan another move, Dumbo will be my choice. But I’ve got to have the two George’s. They made us feel confident in their work. They alerted us when they were coming, if they were late and were timely with our move. We needed to be at our new location before 5pm and they delivered.
