Worst moving experience EVER. They were unable to put my bed back together until almost 9 hours after the move. They also "lost" all of my wine and part of my liquor collection. When I reported it they offered me $50 which is totally unacceptable for what was most likely $600 worth of alcohol including a btl of rum that was $80 on its own. I told them I would not accept anything less than $500 and they wouldn't budge other than to say they wouldn't pay anything above $250. When I said I planned to share this experience with my network I was accused of extortion. This is the type of customer service they provide. Not to be trusted with your goods.

I've moved several times in my life.. and this was by far the worst. It was wrong from start to finish. The movers went to the wrong address to Brooklyn instead of Manhattan because the moving company gave them the wrong address! Unheard of. And when I called them out on it - he had the nerve to tell me - "may be I gave the wrong address, may be you did". Really? I hadn't even talked to the movers until they texted me. And when they said flat rate, does not depend on the hours, I should have checked more. They were terribly slow and inefficient than other movers I've seen. Usually movers come with a lot of appropriate equipments to get the job done quickly - here they had regular screwdriver, not even an electronic screwdriver. They took almost 4 hours to just move out stuff from a 1 person 1 bedroom manhattan apartment. I have reasonable amount of stuff, definitely not a lot. The mover started complaining about the bed having a headboard, sideboard, baseboard! and then about having stated 20 boxes and having 22 boxes! and I ended up paying more to just not have to deal with their constant complaining. Moving is hard and stressful - especially when doing it alone. The least they can do is not make it worse. I couldn't move on the scheduled day because they were late and had to pay for another 2 days of overnight storage. And every time you've to deal with the moving company - it's a nightmare the way they talk / handle things. Ivan / Hugo could take lessons in customer service & how to talk to customers. The only good thing in the entire experience and the 1 star is for one guy named Eli (Ellyor) who constantly was trying to make sure everything was smooth and easy and went above and beyond to make sure I didn't have to lift a finger.

I had about 3 moves with them. Never had any complaints, i even use their referral program to recommend some buddies who had to move.

My two movers were great. But customer service from the office leaves much to be desired.

Honestly, if you do not have terribly expensive furniture and don't mind if things get dinged a little bit (scuffs). These guys are the best. They are very cheap and the movers are good guys with nice personalities. Have done business with many times.

I've been using Dumbo moving for years now and this time around, they have broken my book shelf, busted few of the plastic containers, and they repacked it during the move, without telling me... (the box had a strange odor to it) also they have broken some of my vases, chipped some furnitures etc. very disappointed with the experience.

We were dreading moving. We had a small apartment that accumulated a lot of stuff as well as and outdoor space which needed to be lowered down to street level. Both movers were efficient and never complained. They made for a really painless experience and there's no doubt I'll be calling back next time I have to move.

The crew was very inexperienced. Alex was nice and knew what he was doing but the two guys he brought with him were too inexperienced to be left on their own. For example, they left the cushions for the couch and the stand for the TV behind which resulted in significant inconvenience in trying to transport these items to the new place. They also didn't take away the trash from the job. I want to emphasize that they were good guys and worked hard but they were too inexperienced to run the job on their own and I don't think you should be charging a full rate for a crew with that level of experience. I've used them 3 times already from 2013 - 2015 and now again on February 25, 2016 when I moved from Rahway, NJ back to the city of Harrison, NJ. I'm impressed with how quick and easy the move was, and the guys were very professional. I will refer this company to people I know in case they need to move and I will also use DUMBO Moving again in the future should I decide to move again. Thanks!

I only have good things to say about Dumbo Moving. The scheduling was very easy with the online tool, and the sales rep was very helpful with answering my questions and making sure everything was scheduled on time. The move itself was incredibly quick, the guys skillfully packed my belongings and we were out of my 1BR within 90 minutes. 60 minutes later everything was at my new place, unpacked, with 0 damage!

Excellent professional service for a reasonable price. After making many phone calls looking for a moving company that would fit my needs, I finally found Dumbo Moving. Jason and his crew were on time and the moving was done within the time they have told me. They were very careful moving a couch in my house and we were very pleased with their service. The movers were great in all respect - they were right on time and extremely quick, professional and were hugely helpful in helping me to consolidate all my small bags of various items. What's more, they all had a great attitude throughout the whole move, which was especially impressive considering I moved from a 5th floor walk-up to a 5th floor walk-up! Thank you for all the help!

This is our third move using DUMBO Moving (between my wife and I over the years), and they continue to provide a great service from start to finish. The quotation process was very smooth - the website is easy to use - and they were very quick to coordinate the COI with our new building management. The movers themselves arrived 5 minutes early, were very professional, and nothing broke in our move.

I experienced professionalism, great attitudes and communication with the two movers I worked with on my move. I had two locations to pick up and one to unload and they were efficient to boot. The price was very reasonable for such a move. Call Dumbo's first!!!

The two guys who helped me move were excellent. They moved really fast and got me out and into my new place in 4 hours. I have moved a lot and by far this is the best moving company I have used. The guys worked really hard and were excellent with communicating with me. Not a single item was scratched, dented or broken. I am really happy with the move and will use them again in the future.
