Big Bear Lodge and Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals were both fantastic. Blue Ridge has exceptional communication from start to finish. From the moment we reserved our spot until the day we left, Blue Ridge communicated constantly with directions, check in, check out procedures, area attractions, Eagles Nest information and more. We had one small issue with the hot tub. Someone came out almost immediately and took care of the issue. The house was fabulous and was exactly as advertised. We will use Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals on our next visit to the High Country!

Booking directly thru Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was easy and hassle-free. They communicated with us early and often throughout the process so that we didn't have to wonder about anything. We also saved quite a bit by not booking the same cabin through Marriott (which charges an almost 50% fee). A Beary Nice Cabin was fantastic. It had more amenities, conveniences, and supplies than any cabin we've ever stayed in. The spa was fantastic, the master bath was luxurious, the furnishings and beds were wonderful, the table was huge (which was great for playing board games with the family), and the kitchen had everything we could want. The location is also great. It's secluded enough to enjoy the natural surroundings, especially the little walks up to the fire pit or down to the lake, but close enough to town to easily get groceries, take-out, or dine out. It's also very close to numerous hikes. We absolutely loved it and hope it's available next time we are in the area.

Blue Ridge Rentals is a very easy company to work with. All the information is straightforward and very user friendly. All their properties are top notch and well maintained.

The house was beautifully appointed, and well located. We wish we had a view of the mountains. The only regret is that there was dog hair on one of the bed covers. Otherwise, we truly enjoyed our stay!

This year blue ridge did a much better job while we stayed at tested traveler very happy stayed 47 days and will be back next year

The cabin was amazing. The game room was a hit for our kids and grandkids. Only a few negatives and they would not stop me from going back. Several of the tubes provided had holes in them. They need to also let you know where to get off the river if you float down so you can plan ahead. Our gas tank ran out of gas in the middle of cooking steaks the second night. (They did bring another tank the next day) And the dryer was broken and we were told by a couple that had stayed 3 weeks ago that it was broken when they stayed. Someone just needs to check these thing when they clean. But we still had a great weekend and will gsee back

Great cabin with awesome amenities. Very clean. Comfortable beds, furniture inside and out. Very nicely decorated and cozy. Nice view of mountain and some wildlife out back. Great place for quiet and relaxing times after hiking and exploring the areas. Had trouble with water on our last day, but customer care stepped up along with the owners and put us into another wonderful place for the last day. It also is a beautiful cabin with great amenities. Will rent here again in the future. First cabin is Moonlight Lodge and the second is Whispering Pines.

Very nice house - great amenities. The drive was a bit further than we thought fro town, but not because of mileage, but the curviness of th eroad. Not a big deal at all. BRMR accommodated for an early check-in and were easy to reach.

#1 Very uncomfortable bed.#2 musty smell upon entering cabin, especially in the cabinets. #3 No control over the AC it was either heat or Fan only.#4 hot tub has obviously been leaking for quite some time as the deck was moldy and slick and Constant drip underneath deck. Traffic was non stop on the gravel road behind cabin . No batteries in candles above fire place. As someone who owns a company that maintains vacation rentals in the Asheville / Hendersonville NC area . I would have noticed these things upon arrival of guests. Surely the Maid would see these or smell these things. We didn't rest at all which is what the whole purpose of the trip was for. Just being honest. I would not recommend this dark place to no one.

I want this to be constructive for Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals and not critical of the property because we enjoyed our visit due to the location, the property and comfortable furnishings of cabin. First complaint is the TV did not work. Not life or death but after your day is done and chilling for the evening it’s nice to have a little TV time. Second the hot tub jets did not work to full capacity in fact barely putting out water. Third the outdoor flood lights on corner of house are evidently set on timer but continued to turn on and off every few minutes. My thoughts would be that minor as these seem I would think a property manager would do walk throughs to ensure things are in good working order for renters to come in. These were amenities listed in the cabin description and this was not a cheap rental. We rent a lot through VRBO and to be honest I have rented less expensive cabins and everything was on point. Thank you.

The house inside was very nice and very well kept. The deck was great. When I booked this house I did so because of the river in the back yard. Our first trip to the water we noticed a few water snakes. Ok something we have to deal with being in the country. Then I seen more snakes in the very little bit of cut grass. Needless to say we didn't use the yard much or spend much time in the river. Before you say "well it's out in the country what do you expect". Well I've lived in the country my whole life. The yard is VERY overgrown with weeds. If you take away the weeds the snakes will leave. No cover no snakes. That was the only downside. West Jefferson is a beautiful town with extremely nice people. We did have a very nice and relaxing time

We’ve rented this wonderful home several times and have had many enjoyable weeks in the mountains. It’s both spacious, convenient to Blowing Rock and well stocked. Love the additions.

Customer service, property manager responsiveness and quality of the property were all 1st class
