United Kingdom | 04 October 2022Last review was removed. Funny that! I was have been with 4paws since 2018. When my dog needed treatment they basically claimed an unrelated ear infection in 2018 is “clinical signs” of a skin allergy to grass that he developed when I moved from a city to old farm land in mid 2019 when his skin started to become sore. Spoken to the vet who has agreed that they didn’t treat him for allergy’s pre-2019. However 4paws who aren’t vets state otherwise. Basically a waste of money and time. I strongly advise seek other insurance company’s But yet you covered the allergy blood test a month before the treatment??? If my dog had suffered repeated ear issues I can understand but his condition has always been skin related. And from reading others reviews you not paying out is a common occurrence.

United Kingdom | 28 September 2022This is not worth getting insurance from this company as they wriggle out of claims by coming up with crazy ideas to not pay out We have a small dog Alfie runover out side our house Alfie broke a couple of small bones in his leg but was very lucky to escape serious injury. They say him escaping from our house and running on the road not an accident. STEER CLEAR

United Kingdom | 26 September 2022So disappointed with this insurance company. My dog had an ear infection when I got her at 9 months she is now nearly 6 years old. I got her insurance out after she was checked over by the vet at 9 months and therefore her ear infection is considered pre existing. My dog recently ended up with a complicated ulcer in her eye which needed specialist treatment a cost of £940. The eye specialist stated she could not have given a reason but suspected after the testing she did on my dogs eye that she can not close her eyes properly that something must have pocked her in the eye and caused the ulcer. I paid the vet bill and tried to claim back. 4paws stated they would NOT cover the bill as her ulcer was linked to her 'pre exisiting condition' of an ear infection...4 paws have due this informed me that my dog does not have cover for anything related to ears, eyes, nose, skin due to her "pre exisiting skin allergies" referring back to the ear infection. The first I heard of my dog having skin allergies was in the response letter to my claim from 4 paws so please excuse my shock when they refused to pay any part of the £940 vet bill. Particularly after paying her insurance of £80 per month, a total of £960 for this year alone. To top it off I have just recieved my dogs renewal quote of £104 per month a total of £1248.00.

United Kingdom | 05 September 2022I have been with this company for over 4 years with my labrador and they have been amazing! I contacted them yesterday to get my 2 kittens insured. I spoke to Dan and he was so lovely and helpful. We got everything done very swiftly and Dan was a joy to talk too as well as being very informative. I would highly recommend 4paws.

United Kingdom | 16 August 20224paws has been very helpful throughout the process. Since we are fairly new, we didn't think it would go as smoothly and as straightforward as we thought it would be, but they were very helpful in regards to advising me with the process, how they were okay for the vet to do a direct claim etc. overall they were very quick to respond, to help and to answer calls as well. I thought we would have a hard time speaking to one of the claim people but it was very easy and they were very nice and accommodating.

United Kingdom | 16 August 2022I’ve claimed quiet a few times as my girl had a long term condition. She is through it now so I hope we don’t have to claim again but I know If i do it will be drama and issue free. Always kept up to date with progress which is quick and hassle free. I recommend this company for pet insurance.

United Kingdom | 01 August 2022Thanking you for your prompt payment for all claims made. In addition your policy where owners have to pay a % towards the claim is fair way for any owner. I fully recommend 4Paws Pet Insurance to all.

United Kingdom | 28 July 2022We’ve been with 4paws now for a couple of years as they have a premium policy which helps us to look after our precious little Frenchie. Unfortunately we’ve had to use the policy a couple of times for her, but 4Paws have always been fast at responding and settling her claims

United Kingdom | 19 July 2022I stupidly thought these guys would be different, but they've weaselled out of paying for my cat's treatment on a technicality. Avoid these con-artists. Why pay them every month? Believe me, you are not going to get help from them. It's a scam.

United Kingdom | 19 July 20224paws insurance started off quite well and after some small issues a claim was put in and accepted, this would be an ongoing claim and everything seemed to be good, although we didn't get back all of the money we were paying out (excess) we were at least getting some. Unfortunately my pet had to go to the vet as we suspected there was something not quite right with her, she had to have blood taken and tested plus some medication of different kinds and a couple of check ups. The above treatment came to around £400 +, so I put in a claim to cover some of the costs, weeks went by so I contacted them, I was told they were still looking in to it but asked for details / contacts of previous vets, weeks went by, I contacted 4 paws and they said they would contact me soon. 4 paws contacted me via email and said that the claim had been refused, not because of past illness or injury but because she had shown signs of lethargy and lack of appetite which is what the signs were this time and the vet had written them down, she had had similar things in the past on a couple of occasions, one was 4 years ago and the other 9 years ago, I couldn't believe it, they have searched and searched to find and use a spurious reason not to pay me. These symptoms are not an illness but signs of something else going on, the first was a reaction to a worming treatment she was given and the other time was an infection due to anal glands, both of these had nothing to do medically with this claim but as you know, insurance companies will find any excuse not to pay out. I have cancelled my policy as they are obviously not and honest organisation. George As you can see from this reply they say they cannot cover previous illnesses, once again I say that these were symptoms, these symptoms can be the result of many things and as explained the two previous times this happened were two different causes and different from the cause that I tried to claim for from this " insurance company" I would still say avoid them as when the going gets tuff they back away and don't pay. United Kingdom | 18 July 2022Due to my dogs on going health condition I have had to submit a number of claims. The claim form is easy and simple to complete. I receive text and email notifications on the progress of my claims. Clear communications. On the occasions I've needed help and advice and have contacted by e-mail and phone I've always received prompt response, friendly service. Excellent.

United Kingdom | 16 July 2022Simple and straightforward to make claims. I usually do these through my vet so payment goes direct to them. Communication from 4Paws while the claim is in process and being assessed is good and payments are prompt.
