United Kingdom | 16 May 2022Took out pet insurance for my puppy in 2020. Due to financial status and salaries going down in Covid told person on phone in 2021 that I could not afford the renewal of approximately £400-500! adding another dog on in that too. Next got another phone call saying that he would reduce the price for both dogs to just over £200 so yipee went for this. However, now that I have tried to claim I have been told that this 'renewal' was not a renewal but a new policy so cannot claim for ear issues pre-existing the 'second policy'!!!!! DO NOT go with this lot. Cannot believe this. As a first time dog owner I cannot believe that this has happened. Salesman just wanted his buck and started a new policy when I clearly stated I want the same policy.

United Kingdom | 25 April 2022I have had my dog insured with these people since i got her 11 years ago. No claims until 2.5 years ago. The claim process was good. In 2019 my premium was In 2020 my premium was £833, it increased to £1600 after a claim during 2020, The premiumd has now increased to £2184. This is an outrage. The dog is 11 years old and in good health.Yes i made a claim, and i expect premiums to increase, but can a premium of £2184 be justified for a small Labradoodle. They have increased 250% in 3 years, and over 300% over 4 years. I will change insurers (quoted £800 for similar cover by others)but of course the cruciate ligament will no longer be covered or any complications from surgery. If you make a claim this company will just get the money back by increasing premium through the roof with no true reflection of extra risk. Makes a mockery of having insurance. This is an insurance company to avoid with the proverbial barge pole.

United Kingdom | 18 April 20224Paws have added a clause to their policy that effectively means they do not have to pay out for any viral infection. The wording is in the what we won't pay. It excludes fleas, ticks, worms, or any external or internal parasites. The definition of a virus is a microscopic parasite. If your dog falls ill the chances are you are on your own, if you fell for the 4Paws claim that they actually offered meaningful insurance, you are not the only one.

United Kingdom | 30 March 2022On buying our puppy last year I had no hesitation in choosing 4Paws for his insurance following a very positive experience on the sudden loss of our previous dog in early 2021. We had to make a claim for our new puppy a few months ago when he had to undergo unexpected surgery and, yet again, the experience with 4Paws was positive and excellent. The team are very responsive, kind and considerate of the owners feelings and communication is first class. All I had to do was complete a couple of forms and between my vets and 4Paws, they sorted everything out. I received my claim within 14 days of the start. No fuss, no quibble just an all round great service. I would highly recommend them.

United Kingdom | 23 March 2022I took my dog Lady a Yorkie to the vets because she had a discharge from her vagina. The vet immediately sent her to the veterinary hospital at Liverpool where they did an hysterectomy the next morning, I was given an estimate of cost so I downloaded claim form from 4Paws, filled it in and took it to the vet and they sent in the claim. I had acknowledgement of the claim within 2 days and the claim was settled in full in just over a week. I think this was excellent service as most of the staff were working from home.

United Kingdom | 03 March 2022Simple process. Recovered to full amount due with no hassle

United Kingdom | 02 March 2022What can I say, does what it says on the tin,dog got ill took her to the vets operated Xmas eve found a Conker stuck in her intestines, spent night at the night Hospital. I paid for the night stay and was reimbursed within 10 days, well done no hassle. My vets decided to sit on the claim rather than send It off so took them longer to get paid out! There fault not insurance so I would recommend 4 paws. Obviously my insurance has gone up a lot but the bill was 4k.
