Easy form to download and complete . I acquired my vet info and posted off. 4paws kept me upto date regularly as to where my claim was in their system and paid in full without quibble and in a short period of time. Smooth and easy processing .

What can you say about a company that after your pet dies after a sudden illness makes it very difficult to get payment. It was over 2 moths I had to wait for payment of over £2k.over christmas period as well to make matters worse. Emails swapped I don't know how many times final one saying there were going to close down the claim. Thank you all at customer service for all the headache you caused me and my family. Definitely not a company I would recommend or ever use again.

Cannot thank 4 Paws enough - my claim was settled in just a few weeks which was so welcome after a traumatic time getting my cat back to full health. Efficient, slick and no fuss - what’s not to like.

Rude customer service agents, who laugh at misfortune during telephone calls. When I made a claim my policy was cancelled for no apparent reason and my paid premiums were never refunded, although I was informed they would be. Avoid this insurance company at all costs. After leaving a review you receive an automated message to get in touch with “Craig” a manager who doesn’t return calls or is always unavailable. Untrustworthy, pet insurance.

Amazing insurance company. My daughter was having problems with the information from the vets but Craig the manager quickly sorted it out for her. He was wonderful and I can't thank him or the company enough for resolving the problem for her.

Watch out at renewal I have been insuring my cat with this company for 4 years now. This year at renewal they have not only put the premiums up by 3x the usual, but they have sneakily changed their terms and conditions. My cat is 9 years old and as per my policy I would have only had to pay contribution on top of the excess from when my cat gets 10 years old. They have now changed that to 7 years old. Changing the terms of an existing policy like this is unacceptable and without precedence. The premiums going up by 3x the norm is annoying but would have been fine. Changing the terms and hitting me with an extra 20% of the vet fees on top of the excess is not fine. Policy cancelled. Watch out.

The process of dealing with the claim was easy as it was done by the vets and all was done well and we didn't have much involvement. We took out the policy with our rescue dog being a certain weight and with her putting on a few kilos over a few months when the claim was made for an unfortunate grass seed incident the payment was paid to the vets and then our policy went up due to a change in her weight from £14.28 a month to £50.67 a month - a 254% increase and ironically more than if we hadn't claimed at all with them. Also interestingly, if you gocompare the price with her new weight, it is significantly less than £50.67 a month. So overall, not really happy with the after part of the claim while the beginning bit was great! Thank you for your reply Craig but I did call in and did discuss it with one of the team who sent through my “complaint” to the complaints team to which you send a letter saying thank you for your feedback but we don’t uphold your complaint. So there really isn’t any point calling in as you have already looked into it. I would only place my experience after I have given a company the chance to reply first. Which you did, and hence I wrote my feedback. When rescuing a dog from a shelter and it thankfully puts on some weight during the first few months you dont expect a 254% increase on your premium midway through but there you go. The good news is that the renewal is due soon ish and after reading other reviews I am excited ? about what the renewal price will look like!!

We have 3 bichons and have been with 4Paws Pet Insurance for over 4 years now. Such positive experience with all the claims we have made. We love that we have access to FirstVEt which is an online vet consultation service which comes free with our monthly payments. I would highly recommend 4Paws Pet to any pet owner.

I have taken out a policy with 4Paws when we got our puppy on the first renewal the policy was increased by approximately 47% which I questioned. This increase on the second renewal has now been increased by another approximately 24.86%. These increases to me seem rather unreasonable, (may be I am out of touch with reasonable) I have tried telephoning 4Paws on numerous occasions and no one answers the phone, have left voice mail messages, no return calls. I have e mailed 4Paws no response, in fairness it does state 3 days for a reply to e mails. 4Paws if you are reading your reviews I would appreciate you contacting me please. Potential customers I will let you decide !!!! Thanks Craig for your prompt post to my review, another day has nearly passed with no reply !! I truly hope you or one of your team are able to successfully turn this review around I received a call from 4Paws yesterday and due to their pricing structure, they are unable to reduce their premium

Absolute joy and excellent to deal with! The guy I spoke to whilst seeing if i was eligible to make a claim was very helpful and reassuring. Once I made the claim I lost count of the emails I received keeping fully updated every stage of the way with the claim. My policy has gone up somewhat since making the claim but have decided to stay with 4Paws Pet Insurance based on the experience and excellent level of customer service I received. Highly recommended!

Absolutely shocking service overall , I've experienced lots of going back and fourth with 4paws , they've tried to get out of paying a claim by using ONE OFF instances over the period of 8 years. My vets have only recently stated my dog needs to on daily medication , yet 4paws are using a few one off Instances over the period of 8 years and stating this is an underlying medical condition. I've explained to 4paws if my dog had underlying medical conditions then she would have already been on daily medication for 8 years , which is not the case. I kept receiving the same text messages / emails in error , everytime I spoke to an advisor they didn't seem interested. I will certainly be referring this complaint to the Ombudsman. I've been with Tesco Pet Insurance and M&S Pet Insurance in the past who were both miles better than 4paws , and I'll be looking for another provider ASAP.

Had to make a claim after our dog ate something she shouldn't have. Multiple emergency callouts due to complications, surgery, recovery, and aftercare. Claim was put in via the vets and it was paid very swiftly. Can't fault the service or the payout, or the price. Will continue to be a customer.
