Belgium | 02 December 2024The lady(Lena) at the desk at Dublin airport was very helpfull and friendly. It was our first time in Ireland and she immediately make us at ease. We told her that we were planning a tour; The ring of Kerry, Dingle peninsula, Doolin, Galway and back to Dublin. She gave us an upgrade and gave us a car with more ground clearance, a Toyota Yaris Cross. It was not the youngest model in their fleet, it had +/- 82000 kms but we were pleased with it. We experienced some bad weather on our beautiful trip with snow showers and flooded streets on the way. With al the paperwork done at the desk, she even took the time to walk with us to the shuttlebus. She gave me as a driver some tips how to drive at the leftside. The car at the pickup station wasn't cleaned but it was not to bad. There were some damage spots but we took some pictures. After a week of driving in Ireland , we brought the car back with no problems. The only minor thing we found was to wait outside in the cold weather with no seats. The office at the return station wasn't open yet so early in the morning. Maybe a small tip to put some waiting chairs and a shelter near the pickup point of the shuttlebus. Die Dame Rezeptionsdesk war sehr fürsorglich und überhaupt nicht aufdringlich, hat mich aber kompetent beraten. Da ich etwas unsicher wirkte, hat sie sich etwas mehr um mich gekümmert und mir freundlicherweise auch noch den Weg nach draußen zum Shuttle Bus gezeigt. Das bereitgestellte Auto war sehr zufrieden stellend (Škoda Karoq) Beim zurückbringen des Autos war das Personal ebenso freundlich und kompetent. Ich war überaus zufrieden mit dem Service der Firma Sixt und werde dies auch bei meinen neuen Buchungen berücksichtigen.

Prices and vehicle were all as expected and the people were very friendly at the desk in the airport and at the pick up location. Drop off was seamless when I returned the vehicle.

Czech Republic | 30 November 2024Everything went well for me, the Dublin city centre branch was easy to find and the staff was friendly. The only problem was I didn't read the small print (rental information) when booking the car. If you choose basic Collision Damage Waiver CDW, then an amount of € 1500 will be blocked on your credit card - to avoid this, you need to pay for a more robust CDW. So in fact there were no hidden costs for me and I was only charged the expected fee.

Renting a car is a scary business with all the paperwork and insurances etc. but they made it easy. The car was not the one I asked for (they rarely are) but it was new and clean and functional.
