I ended up throwing it out.

United Kingdom | 30 April 2014We have an allotment and always start seeds off in the warmth at home - only problem is the seedlings grown on the proverbial 'sunny windowsill ' lean towards the light and get leggy (hence weak). The Grow-Light is miraculous, producing strong upright seedlings that grow into healthy small plants in no time at all. Makes you feel like a real pro! We turn it on first thing in the morning and off at bedtime. The unit is actually quite attractive (I looked at several more industrial type things but wouldn't want them in the house) and I was delighted to find the very same Grow-Light I wanted at Garden Essentials at a much lower price than elsewhere. I also got the self-watering tray and would recommend that to anyone considering this product. Delivery was fast and free.

The items are budget items and some are not of the best quality but still make good 'starter' tools and enabled me to be fully kitted out to tackle my rather overgrown garden for a very cheap price. One of the boxes arrived slightly damaged from transit and one small weeding fork had consequently been lost. This was quickly resolved with no hassle at all. Overall I was extremely pleased with the value for money and the customer service.

Within 48 hours of reporting each part a replacment was shipped and delivered to us. I was expecting weeks of problems getting the faults replaced but all it took was an email, photo and 48 hours. 10 out 10 to Garden Essentials and SunTime

United Kingdom | 21 February 2014Appalling service. There was no communication about the first order I placed and I had to chase it up. It was subsequently sent to the wrong address. Having discussed this with a member of staff I thought I'd give them a second chance and they have let me down again. This time the courier claims to have attempted delivery and I was at home all day, I work from home, I received an email from them asking if I want a refund. It's been 3 weeks of time wasting and empty guarantees. They are cheaper yes but really there is no operational process or good customer service. Save yourself a massive headache and shop elsewhere. To be clear your response(below) while appreciated is inaccurate. You failed to deliver the original order in the required time. When I contacted you about this a member of your team agreed to despatch it to another address as it was a gift. It never arrived at either address and when I returned home I discovered you had tried to deliver it to original address. In terms of the second order as we have discussed by phone I was at home all day and why would I refuse an order that I have been chasing for some time now? Your courier simply went to the wrong address - end of. I am grateful that finally the order arrived this morning but saddened that I had to resort to posting a comment on line to get this resolved.
