Phone company in case payment has gone through twice, spoke to your operative. Unfortunately she had to go through all terms and conditions again, then my phone went dead. Managed to get reconnected with same operative as they are a small team but still had to go over some details again. She was very friendly and professional but it could have been a much quicker progress if my payment details had gone through first time.

United Kingdom | 04 July 2024Avoid at all cost, maybe on surface it seams reasonabl and cheap but for a reason. My cat (12 years) was sick, took to vet but was so unwell we need to put him down. 800£ vet bill, 120£ excess, 120£ cooinsurace deduction, 320£ premium deduction so after claim a got paid 230£ out of 800£. Fuming I should have ask my pet politely not to die so I don't have to pay that premium. You would be better off not to claim from this scamy company. Shame, shame paid insurance for 12 years and that's how this company treat you. Avoid!

United Kingdom | 30 June 2024I have 2 cats insured with Healthy Pets, one for 14 years and the other for 12 years. My boy cat's policy was £70 per month this year which renewed in May. I sadly lost him this week and had run up an £855 vets bill in trying to save him. Once you deduct excess and co-pay my claim would have been settled at approx £550 but I was told I would need to pay the remaining 10 months of his policy should I claim. Now that amounts to £700 leaving me OUT OF POCKET if I chose to claim!! To add further insult to injury he was not entitled to the death benefit amount of £1000 as he was over age 11 years. This is not only unfair but insulting and insensitive. After paying religiously for 14 years and barely ever claiming my beloved boys life is worth nothing?

Caroline told be that I would be better to go for the new quote at the better price. I am not used to this sort of honesty!

I called the Healthy Pets number & spoke to a lovely lady who was really helpful. After I explained the reason for calling, she gave me several options to choose from to lower the premium. Once I'd chosen the option most suited to my cats needs & my finances, she gave me all the information needed for me to make a final decision. She was able to set up the new policy & offered to email me all the information to read if I so wished. I decided to go ahead as her easy to understand information was all I needed. I gave my payment details by using the keypad on my phone & the transaction went through. I will receive all the relevant information in a few days. I was so impressed with her professionalism, kindness & how thoughtful she was without being condescending. She is a credit to the Healthy Pets company.
