United Kingdom | 01 December 2018I had the worst customer experience with SuperFi Birmingham branch. I have a Monitor Audio MASS 5.1 system purchased from SuperFi 15 months ago. Monitor Audio gives 5 year warranty on their products which SuperFi also states on their website. Just recently my belowed MASS W200 subwoofer broke down. I have contacted online customer chat explaining situation and was advised to call and take my subwoofer to the nearest SuperFi branch in Birmingham (67 Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham B5 4HX). After calling SuperFi Birmingham branch and explaining that my subwoofer has been purchased 15 months ago but is still under 5 years warranty - I was told to take my subwoofer to them. Now this subwoofer weighs 16 kg and comes in a very big box. There is no parking next to the entrance to this branch. We parked half a mile away and carried this subwoofer to the branch to get looked at and taken for repairs or replacement. NOW HERE IS WHERE DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE COMES IN: We were told to bring subwoofer in to the branch, but when we came branch manager was extremely rude and not interested in honoring 5 years warranty despite his employees telling him that this item is still under warranty. I showed all the purchase papers (invoice with exact purchase date) and brought subwoofer in original packaging with all original paperwork. Basically this managers so called answer was: YOU PURCHASED THIS ITEM IN MANCHESTER SO YOU SHOULD TAKE IT TO MANCHESTER FOR REPAIRS YOURSELF, and also ONLY the person written in the invoice that made a purchase 15 months ago can take this item for repairs. So if this PERSON who made initial purchase is abroad, dead or unable to bring the item in person, YOU HAVE NO WARRANTY! We felt really unpleasant after receiving such customer support, where we were told to take subwoofer for repairs to Birmingham SuperFi branch after our details were checked over the phone, just to be turned down and told to go elsewhere. Fortunately Monitor Audio gives excellent customer support, after I told Monitor Audio the situation with this subwoofer and poor service received at SuperFi - they have sent me the replacement part within a week. Thumbs Up to Monitor Audio for being a great company that looks after their customers. HUGE thumbs down for SuperFi for being arrogant and not bothered to help their customers.

Having had a terrible experience with the Birmingham store who refused to refund money on a faulty product after several failed repairs, and aren't aware of such trivial things as the law, I should have known better. After failing to read the notes regarding delivery that I placed on the order I returned home one day to be greeted by an angry neighbour with an open parcel. Apparently they had been abused by the delivery driver who had shouted and swore at them before forcibly insisting that they take my parcel (Another win for self employed Parcelforce drivers). Somewhat annoyed I tried to call the number in the order email only to find it not in use. I was still awaiting a response from an earlier email yet dutifully sent another one about this particular issue. I haven't waited for a response to the latest email or bothered to search for another contact number as really I have better things to do such as leaving a scathing review at their request. Based on my experience in store and now online this shall be the last order I place with Superfi. I am now tempted to pursue the issue of the faulty product they refused to refund and would only replace after 3 failed repairs and at some cost to myself......

United Kingdom | 30 November 2018Had a bit of bumpy ride with Superfi, ordered a 2.1 system. speakers were on back order. Initially got the run around to speak to the warehouse. Shouldnt that be the customers service teams job to find out ? Strange. Just received confirmation item had been dispatched lets see if it arrives. 3 * in comparison to other companies who have been crippled by BF, Superfi did a decent job communicating and i didnt have to wait for hours on hold. My calls were answered under 15 mins.

United Kingdom | 30 November 2018I spent several hours over two days at the Camden branch looking to replace my CD player. Nik demonstrated several units and connected my old player to their shop amp/speaker set-up as I was concerned about the different tone. Ultimately I took a Yamaha unit which I am very pleased with. I also bought an ex demo Denon mini system at a good price. All the staff I dealt with were pleasant and at no point did I feel pressured to purchase. The shop isn't as fancy as some high end places I have been to but overall I was very happy with the experience.

United Kingdom | 30 November 2018Poor experience of buying online (Polk Magnifi Mini - soundbar). Advertised as 3-5 days delivered, no suggestion of stock availability issues. Ordered and paid for then nothing happened for several days, my account merely said - awaiting stock. I called Customer Services the following week and they couldnt help, but gave me the number of their warehouse to call direct which I did. Warehouse advised that the supplier (Denon UK) were having problems getting stock from the manufacturer (Polk, presumably in the US ?). They didnt have any idea when stock would come in but they and other shops were "in a queue". Their buyer would be calling Denon every other day and there would be a meeting with them the following week to escalate the stock issue. They said I could call them again at the warehouse the following week to get an update. I understand shops can get caught out by manufacturers not delivering stock on time, thats not the issue here. My issue with Superfi is (a) they should be keeping me informed (they have all my contact details ... and my money) instead of me keep calling them every week and (b) the website for this item STILL says - delivered in 3-5 days which they clearly know to be untrue. They shouldn't knowingly take orders and payments against delivery dates they cannot meet. Very disappointing for a company like Superfi, way behind Richer Sounds in terms of Customer Service it would seem.
