United States | 08 October 2016We recently upgraded our system and we had the best experience with the Vector Technician. He was patient, thorough, knowledgeable, focused on our real needs, competent and at all times extremely pleasant. Now, that is a rare experience these days! Thank you for sending Peter!

United States | 01 October 2016I am very impressed with the installation and customer service. The Techs are very professional, courteous and very skillful. However I am not impressed with the sales department. I was at least expecting at least a follow-up call from the salesman after the sale was completed. As a matter of fact I tried to contact him a few times and left voice mails but never heard from him again. However this lead me to contact the Customer Service department which I am glad I did. I believe the Salesman should had contact me to follow-up and at least show concern to make sure we were happy and or satisfied with Vector. Otherwise we are very happy with Vector and the alarm system. Commendations for the Customer and Service Departments! Down with the Sales Department. Thanks You.

United States | 20 September 20162016.09.09 Update. I am finally buying out the remaining year of my contract with this company just to get away from them. It turns out that my panel in my house had not communicated with the central station for over a year. That means if I would have had a fire, a break in, or any other issue, I would have been screwed. When I asked them about a refund, they stated that it is in my contract that I was suppose to call once a month to ensure that my device is communicating. No one mentioned this, no one showed me how to do this. No one I know with an alarm system ever does this. Such a waste of money. Just call me and say "We see your panel hasn't successfully connected in 10 months.. " or anything! Instead I am told that it my fault. How could I ever possibly know this?! I just threw away that $400 last year. What if I would have had a fire? This is just something a lawyer through in to make sure this company would never be found a fault for comm issues. Original review: This company has very poor service. This is an honest and accurate review (They keep marking me for deletion) I am not affiliated with any company nor am I trying to sell you on a product. This is not an advertisement. I think this is how they are getting my reviews deleted so I will keep changing them until Google allows it. Thanks google admin! You guys rock. But, instead of leaving this company a scathing review, I will instead leave all the information needed to avoid them as this is the best use of my effort. First of all, we are in the year 2015. Everyone has wifi, a network connection, and smartphones and this type of ridiculously expensive subscription based service is un-needed. Cons: * This system does not integrate with any modern protocols such as Apple's Homekit or Samsung's Smart home. * Do not think that you are going out and buying a Wemo light switch or Phillip Smart bulb and have it work with this system. It will not. * This system will not allow for upgrades to newer technology cameras or sensor without increasing monthly subscription. * You pay additional money if you want to just add sensors which makes no sense. ($10/ monthly for 2 sensors) * No way to customize anything yourself * Panel technology is 4 years old which is ancient in terms of technology. * Get ready to pay your local police department as well if you are in the DC area for additional "false alert" charges. Either subscribe with them or pay $100 when they are called. My sentence, I mean contract is for 5 years. When I asked them if I could get out before the June 2017 deadline, they said sure, for a mere $915. This type of company is not sustainable in this day and age so don't get tricked into this $2160 ($37*60 months) door chime like I did. Look up Simon XTI to see the panel they use and buy it without the subscription. Look up iSmartAlarm. Only $249 with no monthly fees Finally, research "SmartThings"

United States | 19 September 2016They transcribed the security code I gave them incorrectly and I have never been able to get them to correct it and the keypads in our house are poorly located so we do not use the system except rarely.

United States | 15 September 2016I have been a customer of Vector Security for 18 years. Their Customer Service Representatives have always been helpful and responsive to all of my needs. Service appointments were scheduled with minmal wait time and the Technicians were very knowledgeable and professional and ensured that everything was working properly before they left my home. The Monitoring Station has always been proactive in notifying me of low battery signals, etc. Vector is a quality company and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a security company.

United States | 15 September 2016We've been using Vector Security as our home security system monitoring service for about 2 years now and couldn't be happier with the experience. Our house had a pre-existing hard-wired alarm and smoke detector system and they were able to make use of all of the built-in sensors; they just upgraded the control panel and keypads and replaced the smoke detectors. Their Alarm.com-based home automation products have been amazing and very easy to use. We can turn on and off our alarm system, monitor our security cameras, and open our garage from our cell phones. Vector has been great. They're very quick to respond when we've called them and the service has always been excellent.

United States | 15 September 2016Installation/setup was a breeze, the Vector representative was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions - made himself available if there's ever any issue. New to the service (~3 months in) but it's great so far. Thanks!

United States | 15 September 2016We had our system installed in May with Internet access. I had a few issues in early June with our Internet connected lights and discrepancies between status displayed vs actual. The service department was able to debug the issue with me over the phone to my satisfaction. I really appreciate their response since I was heading out of town.

United States | 14 September 2016Overall service is good. It does what is should do but seems to be a few nickel and dime charges that I believe should be included.
