United States | 11 October 2015Central monitoring called me while I was in the bathroom. I called back within a minute and they had already called the police. I was told there was a signal that they could not identify. I told them I was in the house and the panel was a steady green. While speaking to them the police showed up and were not happy that I was home and they were called. I asked central monitoring to figure out what was wrong and call me back. They never did. Therefore, I am not pleased at all. In addition, they left a message on my backup's number. Whoever made the call to them they had to listen to the message several times as the person was inarticulate.

My experience with the entire process form appointment, to completion is perfect. You can use Vector in total confidence of a job well done.

United States | 10 October 2015Our system usually works quite well. There have been a few alerts on our system that read "system failed". Not a comforting thought as you about to go to bed for the evening. The price is consistent with a bonus for each new referral that signs up for service.

Your technician identified the problem and fixed it quickly--he even allowed me to follow him around and ask stupid questions. And to provide icing on the cake, he made sure to replace the black devices with white ones, matching the color of the door trim. All in all, the experience was pleasurable.

United States | 01 October 2015According to Vector, there alarm must sound for 30 seconds or more before the police are summoned. This is enough time for an intruder to enter the house, and cause great harm. Neither the service nor the customer support are worth the cost.

United States | 01 October 2015We have used Vector for almost 20 years. They provide security to my home and my office. They are very responsive, contact us immediately for any issue that might arise. When someone enters my home and does not turn off the alarm properly, usually a contractor with permission, I am alerted immediately. Luckily there have been no break ins, but when a malfunction occurs, they are right on it. We do not have Vector Security in our second home in MD. They are not around, here. We do wish we had them in MD also.

There were opportunities to switch, but we have been pleased with the excellent responsiveness to alarms and for service, which has been very limited. Several times that I have called the consultant was not able to answer a simple question concerning turning off part of my security system until a repair person could arrive to fix problem. Several times a battery went bad in garage and had to turn off complete system. Would have liked to by passed garage and alarmed house. Repair person to house have always been polite and fixed problem

United States | 30 September 2015The Technician you sent was competent and courteous. Getting the appointment was a different story. When something malfunctions, we should not have to insist on an a timely appointment. we were initially offered a 10 day delay which was unacceptable.

United States | 29 September 2015I had Vector Security now for about 5 years now. They can be a little slow answering calls in regards to service. The times I have activated the alarm by accident, they were very quick in calling me asking if everything was OK. I feel safe and confident that my property is being monitored 24/7. I just got my equipment upgraded with outdoor cameras and a digital panel. I can now monitor, view my cameras, and activate the equipment from my smart phone. I gave it a 4 star due to the slow response from the service department. It took almost 2 weeks to get a malfunctioning sensor changed.

When I've needed service on my equipment, it was easy to arrange a prompt visit from a technician, and the work was done correctly the FIRST time.

When I got the agreement that I have been paying on for over 8 years, the rep/installer never said that was going to be the case. I understood that the monthly payment included that service for equipment "ware and tear" replacement over the years. SMH....

I wish they had an option to pay online (one time payment) but think you can only mail in your payment or setup an auto draft. Needed a faulty sensor replaced but opted out once they quoted me an absurd hourly rate for the tech to come in and swap it. Should only take 5-10 minutes but your charged a standard call out fee and 1 hr minimum. Things may have changed but I recall it was expensive.
