United States | 11 June 2015I have no problems what so ever with the keypad or sensors in the 3 years I have used Vector in my home. I did however have a problem with the technician that came to upgrade my keypad a few months ago. First, he did not show me his ID when I met him at the door. Second, it seemed like it took a very long time for him to fill out the new contract paperwork I needed to sign for the new keypad(30 minutes+). I filled out a survey card of my experience while I waited and wrote a comment that the Tech. did not present his ID. When he finished the new contract I signed where he asked me to but one line was incorrectly highlighted, making the contract invalid. He left for his truck and another long wait for him to fill out a new contract. While out in the truck he read the survey card I had filled out, cause when he returned he looked at me and said "So I guess you want to see my ID?" I signed the second set of papers and he left. I received a phone call from him later that day saying I didn't sign on every line I should have and he would need to return the next evening. He must have been the worst field tech I have ever experienced in my life. Mike R.

United States | 09 June 2015Every item you want to add to your system "requires" a tech come to your house. I am very tech savy and can do it myself with maybe a tech on the phone, but they want me to cough up $136. Won't even attempt to assist with issues on the phone, always send someone out and then more $$$. Sales rep says call me anytime, but then does not respond. If I did not have so much invested I would change to another company.

United States | 06 June 2015Recommended to Vector Security by a friend, and have been more than happy with response to inquiries and service when needed. If alarm is set off, almost immediate call received. Very happy customer and would totally recommend to friends.

United States | 05 June 2015Communicated several months back to have the digital system for my residence installed and was advised that i needed to wait for my contract to mature. That doesn't make any sense.... you want to keep your customer keep them happy, especially when the competition of security systems are on the rise.

United States | 04 June 2015Response times have been great. I got a great deal when i first signed with them; however, they don't do much in the way of deals to keep customers. I usually get one month free with a renewal of a year. That is less than 10% a month discount. It would be nice if they gave a lower rate to those who renew especially since I own the equipment at this point.

I now use SimpliSafe because their monthly rate is only 14.99 and there is no contract. You can get more options for a higher monthly rate, but comparing apples to apples SimpliSafe is much more cost effective.

United States | 29 May 2015Recently had trouble with alarm being very sensitive to going off when I was not present. In fact, the local police charged me $50 on the second visit. I called Vector and they did send someone out who was very good. He was surprised that I have had no one come to change the batteries or check the system in 5 yrs. he said that I should have a follow- up from. vector to upgrade my system because it was out of date. No one from Vector has called me since his visit. The new batteries seemed to have helped.

United States | 28 May 2015After my home was broken into, I was recommended to Vector by a neighbor who used them for their security needs. Starting with my very first call to Vector they were responsive, sympathetic and professional. They understood my needs and did not pressure me into upgrading. I have had my security system installed now for 2 years and I have never had an issue with the hardware and software provided. Their website (Alarm.com) and phone app are extremely user friendly. I had to contact Vector today due to a sensor issue (it was a problem with my window, not their equipment). I went to their website this morning to open an issues ticket and before lunch I was contacted by phone with instructions on how to fix. I followed the instructions to send an email to local office and my issue was resolved by the time I came back from lunch. It's so refreshing to receive such exceptional & personal customer service. A huge shout out to my local Vector contacts Andrew and Alysia. THANK YOU!

United States | 23 May 2015Call to discontinue service due to lost of job, company was to sent cancel letter to my email address, letter never sent. Company claims they sent it out. Company claim to sent statements/letter to physical address. I inform company that I never get mail at physical address and I had phone company with my mailing address, but they claim never to have receive, but I have a letter sent from company dated October 12, 2009 Dear valued Customer sent to my mailing address.

United States | 23 May 2015I am afraid to alarm this system all the time, because I am afraid that it will go off. It was not installed right and the company is hard to talk to. I was with another company and I wished that I had stayed with that company. I will go with another company, when the contract is ever up. Check out other security systems before you go with this company.

United States | 14 May 2015The only issue I can recall in the three plus years that we've had Vector Security occurred during a town-wide power outage - just wanted to know how long the battery backup would function after power loss (48 hours). Thankfully, I've never had the opportunity to test out just how well the response times are- and hopefully I never will.
