United Kingdom | 11 January 2025Worst company ever when it comes to customer service. Contacted Banham (Guildford) after my safe 'failed closed'. Tried to contact website, email and phone etc. Switchboard stated the Customer Service Advisors were all available but they didn't pick-up. To make a bad situation even worse, they eventually quote me £378 to come out and force the safe. Not even to repair it.They stated the product is no longer supported (no spares), although it was only purchased six years ago. Banham avoided telephone contact even when I forewarned I would be posting this review. No interest from them whatsoever. Wasn't able to speak with an Engineer and only got through to an Advisor after much persistence. I challenged the quote and was promised a response after discussion with manager, but as expected, no response. Not sure if it's staff shortages and/or their business model that needs addressing but their service falls far short of what it should be. Banham had a great reputation for service and quality but it does seem that those days have gone. Use at your peril.

Bought new locks in October - 3 failed visits then sent 2 engineers on one day. They came out today to sort out an issue with the lock and lock now not working…son currently on doorstep, freezing trying to get in house. I’m in hospital so can’t get him. Have so far spent 14 minutes trying to get through to someone at Banham but each time they answer they put me through to another number and no-one picks up. It’s a joke!

I phoned numerous times to rearrange an appointment that had automatically been arranged without my knowledge and which I could not do. The Banham engineers still turned up for the appointment I could not make.

United Kingdom | 09 January 2025First NO SHOW happened on Nov.5.2024. Engineer just didn't show up. First next appt. they would give me was today, Jan.9 2025. Another NO SHOW and no one answers any of the maintenance phone lines and a number they suggested goes dead after 2 mins. of not answering. Banham knows that my keypad has been stuck - and therefore I have not been able to set my alarm since the end of October. When I was paying almost £600 annually - they used to turn up. I've reduced my cover and now they don't bother. Appalling service. I still think the service was appalling - but I think I raised such a fuss that an engineer did indeed turn up later in the day - again with no apology for not texting me that he was running late but would turn up. The engineer himself, once he turned up, was 5 star.

United Kingdom | 08 January 2025The catch on my deadbolt had broken off. I thought that I would have to buy a completely new lock. My daughter googled Banham and managed to speak to a Jess Haydon. She could not have been more helpful and, believe it or not, I have a repairman visiting me this afternoon. Totally unexpected in today's throw away society. Banham are exceptional.
