United Kingdom | 15 November 2021Organised a meeting for a quote, salesman turned up on time, asked a few questions, he had a look at the radiator in the new extension, looked at where the pump would go, gave me a verbal quote and advised we would receive a written quote by the following day. 14 days later still no quote. If the salesman had looked at the other radiators he would have noticed the pipe work was different and would require a lot more work. Looks like he has done me a big favour in not supplying the quote. LUCKY ESCAPE.

United Kingdom | 14 November 2021We had an air source heat pump installed by this company in 2017. Installation was done well, no complaints until August 2021. Unit malfunctioned. Technician came out, cleared some gunk from the filter and said all was well. Next day it failed again, with an error message. I called and was told a replacement part would be ordered. I explained we would be traveling and would like to be updated via email when part arrived. No email, and no reply to my email enquiry from travel. On arrival home we called many times. Not able to reach the right people. Pushed the right button but were connected to accounting, billing, sales, respondents always polite but left messages and often received no return calls. The part hadn’t come in, then the technician was self isolating, then his van broke down (twice), then he was delayed on a job and could not get to us (twice). Sometimes the unit would turn on but for most of October we had no heat and no hot water. When the electrician finally came, on Nov 1, he was professional, polite and most apologetic. But it wasn’t his fault! He also explained that the circuit board which failed was a common problem with our unit and so it should have been dealt with more efficiently. We did look for someone else who might help us but this is the only company installing and servicing these units in our area. This degree of disorganization and unresponsive ness wouldn’t matter if you were selling Christmas tree ornaments, but when it is people’s home heating and hot water at stake it is inexcusable. We are older people with health problems. This was quite a hardship for us.

United Kingdom | 13 November 2021Avoid. The sales and survey processes were good, very smooth, and the individuals involved were charming and professional. After that though, communication was poor, emails were unanswered. On the installation, the process was very invasive, with 4 or 5 plumbers and an electrician throughout the house. They didn't say where they’d be working and didn’t communicate with the client about any of the installation. They bickered amongst themselves and complained loudly about each other. The client had to sit outside in the garden or, when it was raining, in the car. The client made tea and coffee for the workmen, and tried to keep relationships good. The poor communication was detrimental to the installation process and left a shoddy job. When they had finished, the pipework in two rooms was not as the surveyor had described it would be. Instead of running discreetly up the corner, it was diverted across the ceiling and looks awful. The plumbers maybe assumed that there was an H beam in the ceiling but didn’t ask, and didn’t realise it doesn't run to the corner, and / or they could have run the pipework up the corner as planned, or invisibly through the adjoining cupboard or wall. Upstairs, they ran the pipes through the wooden skirting board rather than the wall, and did not conceal the far end pipe behind the radiator as discussed on the survey. When the client complained, they commented that the pipework was ‘neat’ but made no apology about it not being in the same place or as discreet as had been advertised on the survey. There was no offer to move it to where it was planned to be. After the plumbers had left, when the householder saw the attic, it was a mess. The client had cleared things from the installation area, but the workmen needed more room, but rather than discuss with the client, who would happily have helped, they moved the boxes themselves, and then were heard complaining to each other about it. After they had gone, the client looked into the attic to see the pipework out of sight under the loft boards had not been insulated, and the plumbers had pulled all the roof insulation down all along the eaves so it was all over the walkboards and floor, which must have made it more difficult to work in. The client had to reinstall the insulation along the eaves themselves. The workmen blocked the client’s toilet with kitchen roll, and the client had to unblock it at the end of the day. After complaining, the company left some additional pipe insulation so that the client could insulate the pipes left bare under the loft flooring. Installation took over a year due to difficulties sourcing a bathroom radiator, and then when it finally came, it was not as described, but by then, the client was so fed up with this company, they let them install it. The installers were pleasant individuals, but could not work as a team. The electrician was very helpful when there was a fault later on and the chap servicing it was very slick and pointed out that the weather compensation function had not been on all winter. The problem was with communication and was with not doing the job to the spec that the survey had promised. The team did not work well together on the installation and did not communicate with the client when things were changing from the survey design, or there were issues. The pipework was ugly and not as planned. Emails were unanswered. Avoid this company, and shop around. Ask questions regarding standards of work and finishing.

United Kingdom | 12 November 2021We have now had our Air Source Heating system for just over one year, and we couldn't be happier with it It has more than halved our heating bills. We were due our first service in October of this year, and Martin called to carry out the inspection We had previously met him as he visited just after the system was installed to ensure all was OK and we knew everything we needed to know about the system He checked the pump itself, which is in the garden, and all other parts relating to the system He again asked if we had any questions, if we were happy with the system and really couldn't have been nicer, Greener Energy and every single employee we have had the pleasure to meet have all been so helpful We would highly recommend the Company and in fact, have done so, and my brother-in-law is now having it installed as well,

United Kingdom | 11 November 2021August : agreement for purchase and fitting of air source heat pump signed and deposit paid. Ok so far. Application to Energy Trust for loan and cash back facility submitted. Fine. September: confirmation of loan received. Date for EPC visit agreed. Installation dates agreed - two days at beginning of November. Good, our diary kept clear. October: surveyor visits to confirm location of pump, measurements for pipe work etc. Installation date reduced by one day (which I had to question). Email received detailing costs per annum based on comparison with August energy bills. Estimate should have been despatched to me for consideration three weeks before this stage. I rejected their figures as between August and October the price of gas and electricity had soared. Still waiting for updates, but it’s irrelevant now. Week before installation, we were advised that due to a problem with overrunning work elsewhere it means electrician is not able to attend until 36 hours after installation. We felt like cancelling the agreement at this stage. Installation day: Friday: plumber team arrives, cracks on with job but discovers that surveyors measurements were hopelessly inadequate - resulting in additional pipe work and extra installation time being required! Definitely should not have been reduced to just one day! Sunday: electrician supposed to attend but plumbing work not completed so we had to wait yet another for the installation to be completed. Monday: electrician arrived early morning and worked very late on Monday until 6.45pm but could not get the central heating to work - citing a technical problem. We therefore had no heating overnight, for which he was very apologetic. Tuesday: alternate electrician arrived with several others and finally by mid-afternoon the three teams had managed to get the system working. Tuesday:, late afternoon flood of glycol on garage floor! Plumbers returned afte I had emailed Greener Energy and they identified a loose fitting in the pipe work. Clean up of liquid was completed, but as at the time of writing this review the floor and units have yet to dry out. All in all this has been a very stressful few days for us, especially as my wife has osteoarthritis in most joints and I am still in recovery from cancer. Would I recommend Greener Energy? Well, the plumbers, fitters and electricians were very polite and hard working but they were let down by inaccuracies in what took place before the installation date. Hence, I would be extremely reluctant to recommend this company to any of my family or friends.

United Kingdom | 11 November 2021Nathan's team and Mike were efficient, prompt, worked as a team and communicated well with us. The pipework undertaken was impressive, tidy and undertaken by skilled people. At no times, despite fitting it to an old house with thick walls, were there any issues that affected us. The team just got on with the job. Nathan gave a full explanation of the system to us and answered the more technical questions my husband had. Prior to the work being undertaken, for each part of the process, the staff have been customer focused and made it easy for us to understand everything. A very worthwhile experience, so thank you everyone..
