United Kingdom | 26 February 2025My wife had a consultation at the Bolton branch.She agreed at the time to go ahead with lens replacement. We paid a £500 deposit but the next day she changed her mind about the procedure and cancelled it. We asked for a refund of the money but they said that it could take 28 days! It's now 28 days later so we phoned them. They said it means 28 working days, which means 5 1/2 weeks....Why? If you are not sure that you want to go ahead with the procedure, go home and think about it, don't pay the deposit.

United Kingdom | 26 February 2025I attended to ask about lazer eye surgery but was encouraged to have lens replacement surgery at almos £7000. The actual operation was fast and efficient and I have no complaints other than it's a bit of a conveyer belt of people being rushed through. After the surgery I have needed a couple of extra appointments due to dry eyes and halos whilst driving at night. What was not made clear is you only get 5 after care appointments then anything else is chargeable. I put in a complaint and was offered 1 more free appointment with 3 days to attend. There were no local appointments and the closest over an hrs drive away which is impossible within a 3 day time frame with work commitments. Thoroughly disappointed with the aftercare and lack of help once you've paid the money and had the operation. It eas explained to me 12 months after care is given and that is not a true statement. One appointment they only took out contact lenses I would have done that myself had I been aware of the 5 appointment rule.

United Kingdom | 26 February 2025I will never go to these gentlemen again. Disappointment with the administrative treatment that is genuinely targeted to their interests. My speech was cancelled after I paid the full amount for my forgetfulness, of course, but their service leaves something to be desired as they emailed me 20 days before I went to sign the consent for the surgery, without sending me a reminder a couple of days before at least and they realized that I missed the appointment only after I paid everything, 20 days later. Isn't that unbelievable? To get my money back I have to wait over a month! And I need this intervention - really bad administration and carelessness of customers' needs. My answer Hello, thank you for letting me know that you were good to me. Absolutely not, that is not the case. I was not received all these emails and messages to my phone. I sent the proper screenshorts to the sender of the email replying to my complaint. It is true, I forgot about our appointment on January 28th and I apologize, but I only have one email received 20 days before and then nothing more. I received an email on February 3rd where you remind me of the day of the operation and an email on the 13th where you ask me for the balance before my eye operation which I paid immediately. I wonder why you informed me by email on February 19th days after my operation was canceled. This is not nice, for an elderly woman and who also does not speak your language and for this reason I gave Mr. Daniel, I think, my daughter's phone number for any communication, what ever, never happened. So, you will excuse me if I leave one star which in any case has only a sad value for me, for my disappointment. Thanks again

United Kingdom | 26 February 2025I’ve recently had lens replacement surgery and the whole experience has been second to none, everything was fully explained. I felt like I was in good hands throughout the procedure and the care fantastic. It was also reassuring as you an appointment the following day just to check everything is in order rather than just waiting to go to back to your opticians at later date. All in all I have been highly impressed and the difference in my vision is such that I now live in a bright vibrant world, the transformation has been unbelievable.

Whilst the procedure on the day didn't take very long, it was a long day waiting and moving around. There wasn't any food or drink available to buy which I think could be improved upon. The end results are great and still improving.

United Kingdom | 25 February 2025The service was extremely comprehensive. I had extensive tests and a physical exam. Apparently I have better than 20/20 vision still, despite having laser in 2011. Aarti very kindly advised me that I do not need lens replacement surgery. This is refreshing as many providers may have recommended I have a procedure I don’t need. I highly recommend Optical Express.
