A very professional interview to identify my problems and advice as to the options available to me. Swati Thakar was my optician. I have to congratulate her on the excellent way she introduced me to the different items of equipment and there purpose. I was fully informed through -out the process and was made to feel relaxed. I left the session knowing I was in good hands. Thankyou.

Friendly and professional staff (Justine and Michelle) guided me through the initial questionnaire and examinations to ensure that I was suitable for treatment. Everything was checked and double checked which gives confidence. The optician explained everything and answered all my questions. They provided me with an information pack to take away to go through again in my own time and outlines what to expect afterwards. On the day of the operation, everything was so organised and went like clockwork. Very quick and efficient. My after care was great, everything I needed to do was explained and medication given with guidance sheets. 24 hour telephone numbers were provided in case of concerns. Final follow up appointments double checked all was well. I got great service and an outcome for my eyesight that I’ve been waiting years for. No more glasses!

United Kingdom | 23 December 2024After my initial consultation for lens replacement I thought the staff at the clinic were friendly enough but unprofessional and not very knowledgeable. I was asked to sign something after being given eye drops which totally blur your vision! I was sent for further tests and after travelling 50 miles I was informed no appointment had been made! The receptionist agreed to do some tests not knowing what was required. The following day the clinic rang to say all was well and booked my surgery. I was then contacted regarding an issue with my high blood pressure and this needed checking. They had already taken £500 deposit. I had to ask for the brochure containing there T&Cs and i didn't receive it until after i had paid in full. A week before surgery after paying the balance of £5890 I was rang by the surgeon, who said there was an issue with my eyes and I shouldn't have been booked in for lens replacement without seeing him first. By this time I had lost all confidence in this company and decided to cancel. It took many phone calls and the lack of communication back is unacceptable. They tried to get me to proceed with another surgeon rather than a refund. I did eventually get my money back but it took about a month. They are only interested in money and shouldn't be putting people forward for surgery when there are risks involved with people not being suitable due to other eye related problems.

United Kingdom | 22 December 2024Went for a check up at the Dartfird clinic today at 11.10. Had to wait until 12.45 to be seen. The waiting room was cold and the coffee machine was not working. When asked, the receptionist said there were many emergencies today, but my appointment was only with the optimetrist, not the surgeon. When finally got seen, was told by the optometrist that the delay was caused by system failures - computers going down. We were not provided with any delay information until I asked myself. 1.5 hours wait for a 5 minute appointment. Not what you’d expect from going private!! Many other patients in the waiting room were also disgruntled!!!
