I have to say from start to finish the whole experience was made easy. Optical express staff have been super professional and have put my mind/ worries at ease by answering every question asked. The actual lens replacement operation which was done at the chelmford clinic was fast and painless just a few mins of minor discomfort and it was all over, what was helpful for me was each stage of the op was being explained to me by the consultant Mirna and her surgery team, they were fantastic, so professional. It is now 24hrs later and my vision is already 90% clearer. Thanks Optical Express

From pre op consultations, procedure and post op aftercare service, this company have been amazing, You (I) are/was made to feel included in everything concerning the procedure and found all the Staff incredibly professional and courteous. My ongoing aftercare has been a joy attend and I would recommend this company if you are considering N.L.R. multi focal surgery. John Cherry

Since having Lens replacement surgery I have been left with none stop headaches and problems with both my eyes. I have been offered the chance to have Lens in my Left eye replaced but only if I agree to there conditions. Nobody at Optical express told me I would suffer In pain the way I am if I had Lens replacement surgery. They should never of done both eyes at the same time that is just bad practice and thanks to a loophole in the law its something they insist on doing. My aftercare is a joke I missed 1 call from Optical express and even though I called them many time it took several weeks to get back to me. It took optical express aftercare team 8 months to send me back to see the surgeon and he told me that my Lens surgery had failed even thought at 3 months it was clear that it hadn't worked. From the beginning of my journey with optical express all I have been promised is perfect vision. All I have been left with is pain and discomfort. Optical express have now gone silent with me and are running down my last bit of aftercare. If I can save anybody from the pain I am experiencing this review it will be worth while. If all likely surgery outcomes, including potential risks and complications, were discussed with me prior to surgery. Why have I been asked to sign a NDA before I can have a Lens replacement surgery on my left eye. If there's nothing to hide why is there a need to send me a NDA? If there's nothing to hide why are you so bothered if I share my experience on social media. If you have to ask customers to sign a NDA before you will attempted to help them then it's no wonder its so hard to find the true facts before having surgery. You claim 98% success rate but it more like 70% at best. The only positive from my surgery is that the staff at the Newcastle branch were really nice and polite.

The service and after care is second to none. The friendly staff in the Gyle shopping centre Edinburgh are so helpful. I would not use any other opticians. Very professional service.

Every time I visit Optical Express, Gyle shopping centre, the staff are exceptional. The after care service from Ryan Ralston in particular is just the best. Always met with a friendly smile, very professional and nothing is a problem. For this reason I will always return here!! Well done!!!! ⭐️

I had the surgery done at Nottingham on 07th February 2025. The procedure itself isn’t painful but is a little uncomfortable to be totally honest. However the result the following morning were mind blowing. I woke up, removed the eye shields and was able to read easily the small text on my phone and the surgery discharge letter. Would I recommend Optical Express- Absolutely !!! Is it money well spent- Absolutely !!! Was the procedure unpleasant- Absolutely but certainly not painful or unbearable. Any regrets ??? - Absolutely Not !!! The truth is I regret not having the procedure sooner, I’ve spent years and years struggling and it could have all been avoided. Thank You Optical Express 😎

Team at Bellshill have been absolutely fantasic every time I am in. Nothing is ever a problem for them and their customer service is second to none. So friendly and personable, wouldn’t visit anywhere else.

First of all they sent me the wrong address in the email so I was waiting outside the wrong building, phoned and they said oh we haven’t been there for over 2 years. They need to look leaflets there sending out to people. They have too many people booked in at once, waiting times are over 4 hours when the actual procedure takes 10 minutes per eye and 10 mins consulting, I was never offered a drink or anything. For the amount of money I paid for this I would expect a better service.

Great service. During my consultation for laser eye surgery Niamh was very friendly and helpful and helped me see the benefits of the surgery. On the day of the surgery everyone was very helpful and professional and the surgery went very smoothly. Would highly recommend Optical Express.
