Captain’s Craftworks and proprietor Adam deserve the highest possible recommendation. I received my Port Isaac kitchen island last week and it is absolutely beautiful and exactly as I asked for, including being 2” higher than normal, to fit with our taller existing worktops. The craftsmanship is first class, everything solid wood, and the 80mm butcher’s block top is lovely. I have oiled it with the included oil (3 coats, very easy to do) and the wood looks amazing. Appreciated the included little pot of paint too for any touch ups that might be needed in the future for the base, though it is so well finished, that doesn’t seem likely. Despite being a very solid piece of furniture, the castors make it really easy to move and they lock very strongly. I live in Northern Ireland and delivery was by a NI based firm that Adam uses for over here - they were excellent. This is a great addition to my kitchen - not only practical but beautiful also.

Everything from initial enquiry to delivery was brilliant, great communication and efficient service. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I ordered my kitchen Island on line. The ordering process was very easy and very precise with a good selection of colours, handles etc. The finished product was delivered within the time scale given and the delivery date was arranged on the telephone with a very nice friendly chap with a good sense of humour. My Island is beautiful in every way, I can't fault it. The craftsmanship is outstanding and has been admired by many visitors. Advice and equipment is even provided for its aftercare. It is well worth the price. I absolutely love it!!

the company staff were very friendly, genuine and professional. I was contacted by phone as my order was nearing completion in their workshop. i was asked if there was anything additional i would like before my order was completed and ready for delivery. Then I was advised of a date that my order could be delivered. Even the the delivery driver who worked directly for the company, could not be more helpful. we are really happy with our kitchen unit, it looks stunning and is a thing of pure craftmanship and quality.
