Ive wanted a distinctive chesterfield for years and finally got one when i got my own home. The sofa is absolutely beautiful but i was disappointed with the customer service. Originally they were really helpful when i first went in for a look and was deciding what i wanted but when i went back to order 6 months later i felt really rushed, i was never asked if i wanted studs, luckily i remembered them before i left and added them on. I would of been gutted if id not of remembered. They automatically upgraded my cushions without asking which was dearer than the basics, after looking at the difference i would of upgraded them anyway so left it but was annoyed that i was upgraded with an additional price without even being asked. I felt as if they wanted a quick sale and could palm me off with anything just for the sale. Then it came to the delivery day which i booked off work. First it was 2pm then it got delayed to 5pm then it got delayed to 10pm which was far too late for me as a woman living on her own i really just didn’t feel safe having my sofa delivered at that time, not only that but i would expect better from a company like distinctive chesterfields. When i asked the delivery driver what would happen now i had refused he said i would have to wait for a delivery slot and he didn’t know when that would be. After complaining to him that i was sofaless and that it wasn’t my fault that it had been delayed so much he offered me one a day or two later (albeit with an attitude) turns out it was a good job that they didn’t come at 10pm as i ended up having to remove my front window to get it in. Then when it did come they had sent the wrong feet for the chair but i could cope as they replaced them a few days after. I was disappointed with the delivery service so sent a complaint which i have never had a reply to, no need i suppose now as they’ve got my money. Luckily the sofa and chair are beautiful. Would i use them again? Maybe but id shop around first for better customer service.

Great service and quality

Great sofas I ordered two sofas towards the end of last year I was kept informed at all stages of manufacture and they even stored the finished sofas for a couple of weeks as I wasn’t ready to take delivery at the time they were ready. When the sofas were delivered the arrived on time well packaged and delivered by friendly staff. The sofas look great in our new house we’re pleased with the build quality and are looking forward to many comfortable years on them. Also they are made right here in Yorkshire. From the ease of placing the order, advice on colour options, final billing and delivery of the furniture, everything was beyond my expectations. Everyone I spoke to was extremely proactive and helpful. This was a world class online retail experience!

Great sofa and delivery was easy and efficient, only issue I had was I had to email a number of times to get a delivery date and was told I’d get call backs and didn’t but this was over Christmas so people were off. But the sofa is stunning and the people who delivered were lovely would definitely recommend getting a sofa from here

The customer service is second to none. With a follow up curtesy call to check you’re happy with your purchase. We had a small issue with the studs on our sofa which is being rectified. Living in France, I was looking for a sofa that had an English style. I found by chance Distinctive Chesterfield. They have a good selection of sofas in addition to the chesterfield. Their catalogue shows them; they aren’t all on the website. I ordered 2 sets of samples, which came rapidly. I was moving and lost track of things and DC sent me a reminder email with an incentive to order. I ordered on the spot. The quality of the furniture I ordered is sumptuous, it’s the only appropriate word. So beautiful. The delivery took longer than expected (pandemic!) but when it did arrive the two chaps were attentive, being very careful not to damage anything. They unpacked the sofa and took away the wrap. I am very impressed by this company on all levels and highly recommend. And do offer the delivery men a drink.

Apart from a damage chair leg, we are happy with the service and would recomend you to our friends.

We ordered a Drummond leather sofa and have to say it s lovely. It was hard to visualise exactly how it would look as they didn’t have a photograph of the exact combination we chose on the website or brochure, I was also nervous ordering a sofa on the internet but it’s gorgeous. The sofa also arrived earlier than expected which was great and the delivery drivers were lovely. It s very elegant and the colour spot on

The service was very professional, the staff knowledgeable & helpful. I wanted a 3.4m sofa to be made to measure & they were able to do this so that the sofa fitted the room perfectly. There were a wide range of colours of fabric to choose from. The sofa arrived on time & the delivery drivers could not have been more helpful.

Took deliver of my Wally Sofa a few weeks ago, looks beautiful in the Tango Pine velvet, very elegant. The delivery men were very efficient, in and out in a very few minutes. The sofa is excellent quality, very well made, glad I went for castors on the front legs. The only downside for me is the firmness of the seating area, I would have preferred a little more softness, to the seat at least.
