United States | 07 September 2024Wish I could give it a ZERO. Bought a very expensive bosch panel ready dishwasher and it was delayed shipping. Once it actually came, I was extremely busy with my work schedule and could not open the dishwasher with the delivery driver there because I was working 7 days a week, 10hr days at that point in mid July. Well finally got a contractor to come install it and the ENTIRE control panel and plastic casing is cracked, busted, etc. Not even out of all the ORIGINAL packaging. Now they won't honor a replacement let alone a return. Absolutely unbelievable. Buyer beware!!!

United States | 07 September 2024Avoid AJ Madison at All Costs - Poor Quality Products and Abysmal Customer Service Rating: 1/5 stars I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with AJ Madison, a company that has failed to deliver on its promises. We purchased two range vent hoods from them, expecting a hassle-free experience. What we got was a nightmare. One of the vent hoods arrived broken, rendering it completely useless. The other one was the wrong size, making it impossible to install. When we tried to address these issues with AJ Madison's customer service representatives, we were met with a barrage of excuses and a clear lack of concern for our situation. It became clear that the company is more interested in making sales than ensuring customer satisfaction. The representatives seemed to be reading from a script, offering empty apologies and hollow promises. They showed no willingness to take responsibility for their mistakes or make things right. Dealing with AJ Madison has been a waste of time and money. Their products are subpar, and their customer service is non-existent. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. If you value your sanity and your hard-earned money, stay far, far away from AJ Madison. There are better companies out there that actually care about their customers. Update: I will be sharing my horrible experience with friends, family, and online review platforms to ensure that no one else falls victim to AJ Madison's incompetence.

United States | 06 September 2024If my review could be a negative 10 that’s what I’d actually leave. This is the absolute worst company, and worst customer service. My dryer was supposed to be delivered on August 23, it is now September 5th. Still no dryer. My husband tried to cancel the order immediately after placing it, due to the bad reviews he discovered right after. They told him it’s too late, and there a 60% restocking fee. What is being restocked?? They just received the order. I’ve called numerous times, and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. Do not buy from this terrible company, you’ll be sorry too!!!

They're shady and only quote prices verbally, and even if they save you money, it isn't worth the hassle. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

United States | 30 July 2024This is the third time I've used them. There was a hiccup on the second delivery, but it was resolved quickly. This last delivery was awesome! Quicker than I expected and a Sunday morning delivery! Who could ask for more. I live in a small rural town in Colorado. To get the same unit from Denver was a $200.00 charge. So that's how much aj Madison saved me on this purchase.

Wanted to exchange it for a pricier item from them. It was never used. Plastic still on it, but they refused to take it back. They are unreasonable and un caring and just a horrendous excuse for a company. Never again and I wan others go to a friendlier place this company is total crap.

I confirmed that the item was shipped from Pinnacle (the east coast Vendor) to AJ Madison & received before the end of May. In addition, I was charged $175.00 for "shipping" to a "remote area," Bend OR (wow, really??), even though they tout free shipping. Guess what, the item is finally making its way here and will be delivered on July 15, TWO MONTHS LATE.

United States | 02 July 2024Unfortunately, 1 star is the lowest I can give them, even though they don’t deserve even 1 star. It is fascinating that all the 5 star reviews are from people who have written only 1 review! Lol! Nice try! This is the WORST customer service experience I have ever had. I ordered kitchen appliances (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave) on 5/27/2024. Since then, I have called and emailed them trying to schedule a delivery; repeatedly telling them that the HOA requires 3 days notice before the delivery can be made. No one is responding to my emails… and when I call, I am told that they will try to schedule it and someone will call me back, but no one does. However, without any prior notice,I have received random emails saying that my items will be delivered later that day (giving me less than 2-3 hours notice) and ask for me to confirm the delivery. It’s been 5 weeks since I ordered the items. I made the mistake of buying from them to renovate my condo and put it on the market. My condo has been fully renovated and ready to hit the market since 6/4 (which was the estimated delivery date of the appliances which would have been perfect if it was actually delivered). Instead, my unit had been sitting vacant because I need these items so the unit can be photographed and ready for marketing/ sale. I seriously can’t believe this. Last week I even told them that if they don’t figure this out I will take this to social media and leave a review for them explaining exactly what is happening. Even that didn’t help and no one has reached out! I will NEVER EVER buy anything from them again. At this time, I am contemplating disputing it with my credit card company and buying it from somewhere else, so I can actually receive the items, and move forward with the sale of my unit. Update: On Tuesday, July 9th, I received another email at 8:39pm that items will be delivered the next morning between 9am-1pm. I scrambled writing an email to the HOA, changed work schedule to show up at my unit at 9am. By 1pm, no one had arrived, so I called to be told that they attempted delivery at 8:24am (40min before the time they had told me) and since no one was to see, they left!! I gave them until end of the week to deliver it and was told they can’t deliver it this week and will contact me next week to schedule a delivery. After 44 days of waiting for this delivery, I told them that I would not accept delivery anymore. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. After seeing all the emails I had written for weeks, I was reimbursed immediately! Thank goodness for my credit card! Best part is that I wrote them this review and posted it here and on Yelp, and emailed them about it too; as of today (July 15) no one has bothered to reach out! WOW.

United States | 30 June 2024You decide: When a company places you in harm's way, is it simply projecting incompetence, or does it have more sinister intentions. In march of this year, I was researching a replacement air conditioner. I filtered my search by features, price and brand, and ordered what seemed to be the best fit for my needs. After a month of shipping and handling the air conditioner, which is produced by an U.S. company, the air conditioner was dollied into my kitchen. The following day, I noticed the air conditioner box sporting a large warning, informing all, that installation of this air conditioner, anywhere in the state of California, will result in penalties and/or imprisonment. I live in southern California. Stuned but willing to give the retailer the benefit of the doubt, I reached out to local HVAC businesses and home construction contractors to find out what this means to me. They were as confused as I. I then contacted the retailer of the air conditioner, a number of times, explaining to them their mistake and asking to return the air conditioner. I was informed by the retailer that they would be happy to correct their mistake after charging me a $400 dollar fee. Unwilling to bend to extortion, I then contacted the Refrigerant Management Program For the California Air Resource Board (CARB), who were the creators of the warning, to get facts verified. The California Air Resource Board upheld the warning prohibiting the import of the type of air conditioner that was delivered by AJ Madison. Again I contacted AJ Madison asking them to correct their mistake and again AJ Madison refused to take back the air conditioner. Unable to resolve this, you would think, simple matter, I turned to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). F.Y.I, unbelievably, the BBB rates AJ Madison as being excellent. AJ Madison replied to the BBB with empty promises to resolve the mistake and pick up the illegal unit for free but did nothing. AJ Madison never sent me a notice of return, nor had I been contacted by AJ Madison's transportation company informing me of a scheduled pick up. Meaning that no return order was ever sent. They also lied to the BBB about not being able to reach me. Unable to get this illegal air conditioner returned and remove my $1,300 dollars out of the pockets of AJ Madison, I turned to the Attorney General. I mailed all of my correspondence with the retailer, CARB and BBB to the Attorney General's (AG) office. AJ Madison's response to notification from the AG office was to deny all responsibility and blame me, the customer. They said that I was at fault for them sending the illegal air conditioner. AJ Madison stated to the AG that I was at fault, because I used the AJ Madison website. AJ Madison argued that I should not have followed the instructions on the AJ Madison web site.They argued that if I spoke to a live person on the phone, instead of using their website, the live person would have steered me away from purchasing the illegal air conditioner. But that was simply another lie. I contacted AJ Madison after their response. On April 26, I asked AJ Medison “what is the California legal equivalent to the air conditioner that you sent me”. An AJ Madison representative responded with “I have reached out to Frierich for assistance, I am seeking their help”. May 1, AJ Madison sent me and answer. This exchange would support the fact that, when I ordered the air conditioner March 5, no one at AJ Madison would have taken any action in preventing sale and shipping of an illegal air conditioner. The illegal air conditioner was finally picked up May 3rd and my money returned June 16th.

They said they tried to make delivery and made a call, they didn’t make the delivery and if I wanted it I would have to pay 125.00 redelivered fee I told them I wasn’t paying that so they reduced it to 65.00, I told them to cancel my order and was told there would be a 30% restocking fee. Never ever again! I will tell anyone that asked just deal with your local businesses, not these guys!

They don’t mean delivery, they mean that’s the date to commence shipping and a week after that you might receive.Or they might give to a shipper, that doesn’t deliver in your area so please allow another 5 days. And although it’s misrepresented, their mistake in using wrong shipper, you’ll be charged if cancelled.lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy, all give you delivery dates clearly. A shady mess never use again

They hold you hostage on the delivery company and restocking fee of 30%. Such bad business practices. Lesson learned though no more business from me.

United States | 04 April 2024AJ Madison’s customer service in my experience was AAA. There were issues with my order, due to me entirely. First I ordered the wrong range then I didn’t do my diligence checking out the replacement range and missed some damage. AJM never gave up on me. They continued to work with me until I received the range I wanted. Everyone I encountered at AJM treated me with kindness and respect. in my estimation AJM went over and above to make sure I was a satisfied customer!!! I would not hesitate for a moment to highly recommend AJ Madison as a company to do business with.
