United States | 09 September 2021I ordered an LG gas range in July 2020 and received it in September 2020. The range never worked properly, and when we tried to schedule service (in October) were told that the quickest we could have someone "look at it" was in FEBRUARY 2021. We made the decision to order a replacement (Bosch) range, ordered in December 2020. It is September 9, 2021 and the range was delivered yesterday. I don't fault AJ Madison for the long lead time. What I do fault them for is that we paid $250 for professional installation of the dual-fuel appliance. The delivery company gave us less than 24 hours' notice of delivery. We had to scramble to have an electrician install a new outlet so that the installation could happen. We did that. When the delivery crew showed up, they had no order for installation. The guys on the crew spoke almost no English and there was no way to get an explanation from them. To make it worse, AJ Madison was shut down for Rosh Hashanah and there was no way to get customer support, because even the call center was closed. Today, when I finally got a human from AJ Madison on the phone, I was told that "the installers don't install gas." THE GAS IS INSTALLED. They were supposed to hook it up, put the propane conversion kit in, and be on their way. Someone from AJ Madison is supposed to call me back. Still waiting. We are on DAY TWO of no way to cook in our house and I have a $4000 (yes, four thousand dollar) paperweight sitting in the middle of my kitchen. I will never . . . NEVER . . . order from AJ Madison again. This is the SECOND botched delivery (the first time, the non-English-speaking delivery people breached a "residents only" gate at my community and cost me a $50 fine because they didn't understand my instructions well enough to go to the correct gate). Never. Never. Never. If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. And No, I don't recommend them, as if there were any question.

United States | 02 September 2021I am writing this as I sit on hold for the 7th time in 2 weeks. I bought two high end washer dryer combos for a new duplex I built. One of them broke 5 months into the 1 year warranty. I finally got an appt for repair and they said it would be 5 weeks before they could get out to us. When I called to see if we could exchange or have my repair person fix it and get credit I was told 'Let me check and I will get back to you in an hour.' That was 5 days ago. I feel stuck and scammed. I now know my order number by heart as a result of having to enter it so many times when I call. SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH SOMEONE WHO CARES.

United States | 25 August 2021DO NOT buy anything from this company. They are out to get your money and then will not deliver. Their coverage is terrible, they don't have the customer's back at all and they will just ghost you and never pick up the phone.

United States | 23 August 20211) The shipping company was showing an expected receipt date up to two weeks later than AJ Madison’s website. 2) The receipt emailed to me a day AFTER the purchase indicated a restocking fee of 30% for a return or rejection by the customer. I called customer service the day after the order and asked for a cancellation. I could not get a straight answer as to why there was a difference in expected receiving dates. If the shipping company was right it could take up to a month to receive the appliance. Also, I did not want to be charged a restocking fee if the appliance came damaged and I rejected it. After arguing for a few minutes with the customer service representative, I was told there would be NO charge to cancel, but he had to contact a manager right away to shop the shipping. Shortly after he emailed me to tell me it shipped and they are going to charge $150 if I canceled. Next he asked if I wanted to cancel or proceed with the order. Within six minutes I sent him an email back with questions about discrepancies with what the salesman and the shipping company were stating about unpacking at delivery. I was trying to get information to decide if it was worth moving forward with the order. NO answer from him. The following business day I still had not received an answer so I emailed again and asked him if he received my Friday email, and to provide an answer to my restocking fee question. I had called the shipping company and got a firm delivery answer so I told him “that works”, but I have still have an unanswered question on the restocking charge if I send back the item due to damage. He did not respond again until two days later when I called my salesman David to try to complain. I explained what had happened with customer service and my concern with a potential chargeback if I do not accept delivery due to damage (this is stated on the delivery company’s website). Dave did not allow me to finish my sentence and immediately transferred me to customer service. I could not believe how rude these people were so I hung up. The way I was treated when I tried to ask reasonable questions and receive timely answers was unforgivable. I made a mistake ever doing business with this company!

United States | 18 August 2021Ordered Frigidaire Professional refrigerator. Came in a timely manner. Had a yellow sticky note on the outside of it that said "OK," with some initials. ?? Maybe they checked it before it was sent out or maybe they checked it after it was a return?? My Frigidaire double ovens also arrived. Had bent corner in back. Missing lower heat shield plate on front, glider rack broke. I called for months for the heat shield piece. I finally called Fridgidaire and it came within a week. The staff was very nice and tried their best, but I would not go this route for appliance purchasing again.

United States | 13 August 2021Do not order from this company !! I ordered a refrigerator , took a day off of work and waited all day . Delivery 1-4 and at 7 pm I find out they cannot come because they are too busy. I lost a days pay for absolutely nothing. they are horrible to work with I have never had a worst experience with any service company!

United States | 12 August 2021Hopefully you’re here because you are doing your due diligence and not beating yourself up after the fact. Expect to have parts of your order to not arrive, expect the contracted delivery company they use to be late, expect to call AJ Madison and wait on hold for an hour, have the line magically hang up, call back and be transferred 5 times, receive rude service (they don’t even acknowledge let alone empathize your complaint), receive poor customer service. Just chargeback your account with your bank. You’ll get faster response from AJ Madison then ….

United States | 10 August 2021I bought a Friedrich through-the wall ac early this summer and had it installed by our top-notch contractor. Stopped working a week later. I first notified AJ Madison of the problem on July 22. They sent a form, which I returned promptly. Since then, nothing. No info, no service, no call, no email. I won’t even go into the problems with delivery. Do not shop at AJ Madison!!

United States | 26 July 2021Order took 6 weeks for delivery despite supposedly being picked the day after purchase. The only thing AJ Madison did promptly and correctly was charge my credit card. Appliance arrived damaged. Cannot get through to customer service. Do not use this company.

United States | 21 July 2021Wish I had done my research on the COMPANY and the ITEM before purchasing from them. Kicking myself. The return policy is ridiculous. You only have 24 hours to say you don't want it? 30% restock fee? The large shipping charge was a sign that something was wrong. They were the only place I could find that had the item, and maybe that's because other people AVOIDED buying here. Now I am stuck with it.

United States | 20 July 2021I have had the worst experience with AJ Madison, and I am warning everyone out there, to please save yourself the grief and order elsewhere. They cannot be relied upon to uphold their word, and once they have your money you are ROYALLY SCREWED, No one returns emails, phone calls, or even answers the phone. They are real quick to pick up the phone when you press the button to place an order, so don't think that not answering the phone or not returning calls or emails has anything to do with the virus. They are simply inept! The characters that delivered my fridge, a pricey one, were scary...I don't know any other way to describe it. They were argumentative, refused to do the install that I paid over $100 extra for, as they said they didn't have the paper work. I said why not, and they said they were driving a different truck then usual. WHAAAAAT??? Then how did the refrigerator get on the truck and not the paperwork? It was the end of the day, and they simply wanted to go home. They left me with having to finish unpacking the unit, I had to finish removing the plastic, and they refused to properly install the unit, and have left me with a water line, that will spring a leak if I try to push the unit closer to the wall. They refused to use a flexible water hose, like is included in the install kit. They told me if it leaked, then I would simply have to pay for it. I paid a lot of money to have a refrigerator that fits flush to the cabinets, and now I cant even push it in place, for fear that the copper water line will spring a leak. Lazy, rude, unvaccinated, no gloves, unwilling even when I showed them MY paperwork that showed what I paid for. THE WORST !!!! BEWARE!!!! Also, don't believe them when they say they are careful about your health safety. The delivery guys admitted neither one was vaccinated and they wore their masks below their noses and did not wear gloves.

United States | 16 July 2021My patience has limits. I ordered a simple fridge. 999$. I asked white glover delivery and installation and even paid for a certificate of insurance . First delivery: was just an attempt because they came outside of the windows and tried to charge me an 85$ fee. No way Second delivery: they did not want to deliver because claimed it is 6floors up instead of just 3 and want to charge 100$ for every 7 steps up. These guys seem to make more money on the fees they charge me vs. The actual products they sell Just buy on other sites please

The sales rep was great, fast and efficient. got a good prices, delivery scheduling was immediate. the delivery was almost two hours late and outside of the indicated time frame. the delivery men were nice and efficient. the brand new unit came defective. i reached out to the sales rep and he said he put in a ticket for customer service to contact me. the brand new unit was defective on arrival in july in the middle of summer. 5 days later, no one from customer service has contacted me. sales rep has no control over customer service. i've emailed, contacted them on website, called, nothing. when calling customer service, you're on hold for 20 minutes and get hung up on. this purchase will be disputed on my credit card. very unprofessional customer service. FYI, this is bought under a business account.

United States | 09 July 2021I am writing this review while being on hold with them (55 minutes so far and counting) I wish there were a way to give this company negative 5 stars. Such place should not be in business, period. Eight months awaiting a delivery, endless hours spent arguing with them over inventory and partial shipments, absolutely horrible customer support, and the managers, don't even care or respond to you Now, you probably heard this before, and you say to yourself "Just another disgruntled customer". However, this is not your average story at all. read on! 1) Order was placed December 1, for 4 appliances. I was told lead time was a month. I basically had to call every week to see if the appliances are in or not. 2) After 2 months, turns out one of them was finally available, but they would not partial ship, because they did not want to pay their shipper twice. I ended up paying for it to ship. 3) Two months later, another appliance became available. Their shipping company calls you around 4 pm the day before, and tells you to be ready to receive the appliance the following morning, giving you no time at all to make arrangements if needed. They dropped off the appliance outside and let me to figure out how to bring it in. The guy said he was doing me a favor by dropping the appliance at the doorsteps instead of by the curb. 4) Two months later, another appliance became available, but the manager kept contradicting his customer support folks and said it was not true. It was one customer support guy, who accidentally kept me on the email chain, that clued me to the fact that the manager was either clueless or lying. He, at that point, had no choice but to fess up to the fact the appliance was in stock, and he agreed to ship it. 5) Finally, after 8 months, the fridge became available. As usual, we got the early evening call, and raced to our place that night to receive the fridge, only to find out the following morning that they shipped us the wrong brand altogether. Several communications with customer support, and the store manager, still produced no information after 10 days. They charged my credit card and no product. Now I have to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Save yourself the headaches and hassle. If you don't want to wait months after your order, spend a week of your time on hold with customer support, and send a 100 emails to get your appliance, Just shop elsewhere.

United States | 12 June 2021I am referring to our order number 315863375. It was a SMEG oven. The oven was delivered with the glass completely smashed and the legs looked like they had been run over. Please refer to the pictures. First, we were told that it would be be delivered between 5-9 pm, then changed to 8-12 (who delivers appliances at midnight?) then cancelled. It was delivered at noon the next day in this condition. Not sure who does the deliveries, but completely unprofessional. We called AJ Madison and after some discussion, made arrangement for the parts to be sent. My husband is pretty clever, so he was going to try to fix it. After several weeks, we were then told that it was going to be picked up and we would be refunded. We were told it would be picked up last week, and it still sits in my house. This has been the worst customer service I have ever had. Never again will we order from here.

United States | 05 June 2021I ordered a washing machine. The delivery was a few days later than expected, but I was OK with that. The problem was that after the machine was installed there was water leaking from the machine. I called the same day to get the installers to return for troubleshooting. There was a work order issued and I was told they would call me within 3 days to schedule the appointment. After 3 phone calls and multiple emails, there has been no response. This has now been over a month. I have since disputed the charge and had it removed from my credit card - still no response. Based on lack of response and no follow-up on a $1366 washing machine - I wish I could give a zero star review.
