United States | 30 June 2023Bad experience with these guys, won’t use them again. We purchased an appliance (induction range) and found out before delivery that it wouldn’t work in our apartment. My bad for not understanding this in advance, or for seeing the fine print about the 35% (!) restocking fee hit for canceling the order. But they wouldn’t even work with us to apply a reasonable share of the price we paid to purchase another product from them instead. Just basically told us we’re out of luck. Absolutely their right, and fully disclosed, but seems like really bad business to lose a customer through zero flexibility and understanding. Obviously won’t buy anything from them in the future. Learn the lesson from me: do all your homework, double-check your measurements and installation requirements, and check with your building superintendent before you buy a new appliance. Otherwise, at least with these guys, it will be costly and they will take your money and won’t try to help you out in any way. Thanks for nothing AJ Madison.

United States | 16 June 2023My complaint is not so much with AJ Madison but with the Samsung refrigerators they sell. I bought a French door that is now out of warranty and has water/ice constantly under the crisper drawers. This is a KNOWN ISSUE with this refrigerator, and Samsung has a class action lawsuit based on this and other issues. Think twice before buying one or you will regret it.

United States | 08 June 2023Wow, I'm surprised about all the bad reviews. We had a decent experience. I think with these guys: you want to call and get an actual sales person and buy through them. I liked that I had a specialist I could actually talk to and who helped us figure out what to buy. And John Pereira was really amazing - so much knowledge! I also like the fact that there is a showroom that's not crazy with people where you can see what everything looks like and again talk to actual specialists. We also were able to get a pretty good deal for our purchase (you really want to discuss pricing with salespeople - not just buy at prices on the site). We did have some hiccups with delivery and installation. Even though we ordered special installation they did not have the tools that were needed. I can't remember all of these details but I think it took at least two attempts to deliver our stove and two attempts to deliver and install our microwave and all the time I was worried they'd crack our backsplash marble. But they did not. And the Bosch stove and over-the-stove microwave are pretty good. We will need a dishwasher soon and I will be buying it at AJ.

United States | 08 May 2023Poor customer service. Passes everything to the vendor. I purchased a stainless steel built in refrigerator vs. panel ready refrigerator from them and it was misclassified. It was not only panel ready but basically I had to assemble the refrigerator. Aj Madison played dumb and refused to try to even attempt to rectify. I’m considering a class action lawsuit if nothing else, to warn consumers. They are worse than a drop ship company. A drop shipper would at least intervene on the consumer end.

United States | 22 April 2023Aj Madison saved a day for us! We had a dilemma with another company (Ferguson), they sent us Miele appliances with rats poop inside and appliances smelled like pee. Once the pee is there, you cant make it go away. After fighting with them for 4 months, they replaced us with broken/damaged/used appliances even though we paid money for new. They told us these models can’t be found in the whole USA that they were replaced by newer models (lied). We got our money back, but since our cabinets are custom, we needed exact models. I never bought appliances straight from internet, but we had no option. There were 2 companies offering them, Aj Madison and Appliances Connections. Based on the “good” reviews from google and other sites, we called the Appliances Connections. A sales person told me neither were in stock and just hanged up the phone..what? Their site showed in stock. So I called AJ Madison (the website with bunch 1 star reviews from many sites) and salesperson David picked up, told me both are in stock and they had one over 40+ in stock and another 20+ in stock. Ferguson told us nowhere in US (ya right). I asked David 3 times about model number and that they are brand new because I couldn’t believe, it was our lucky day. 3 weeks later, we received both Miele appliances brand new, not a single scratch. From NY to WA state. One of the other things I loved about my AJ Madison is that they kept us informed about whereabouts and status of our order through email. Every step! (with Ferguson we had to keep emailing salesperson every month for 7 months asking where is it). So, I just wanted to say, don’t always believe those bad reviews on sites about companies. Thank you AJ Madison and thank you David for excellent customer support!

United States | 22 April 2023Bait and switch. My order for a washer and dryer went through. The next day they emailed asking me to call and informed me the models I ordered are not in stock. It's made worse by the fact that Consumer Reports, which is an old trusted nonprofit that tests the quality of products, said in its list of buying vendor options that AJ ships free. They do not: $200. I waited on the phone until I received the email stating they'd cancelled the order. My credit union was willing to clear the funds because AJMadison customer service gave me the transaction # -- so customer service was good. But I question the company's integrity allowing someone to finalize an order for items that are out of stock and then trying to get me to buy something else.

United States | 30 March 2023I ordered a Miele washer and dryer, washer arrived with transit bolt bent. I can't use the machine because I can't get the transit bolt out. Guess what happened when I contacted AJ Madison? (Immediately BTW after the men who delivered left) The same customer service as all the other 1-star reviews. I was told they would "try" to get someone out to fix it, or send a new unit. BUT had to wait for Miele or whomever else to approve it. 3 weeks later, here I wait with no washer. Follow-up emails I send get zero responses, not even an update. And to boot, I'm a pro account holder! Absolutely the worst customer service. Certainly will not be recommending to clients or anyone else in the future.

United States | 15 March 2023Another awful review of AJ Madison. I should have read the others and took warning. DO NOT PURCHASE from AJ MADISON THEY ARE A SCAM. They sell you damaged product, lie about installation, overcharge, ignore you when your damaged appliance package over 10k is not functional. They send out sub par installers who leave your fridge leaking, stove out of level, dishwasher full of gaps and they stole and took back a piece of the trim kit that was supposed to be installed with the dish washer. When I turned on the oven, my home filled with smoke. Some say this is normal but when I called AJ Madison, they said “they don’t know and that doesn’t sound normal.” The left most stove knob is also non functional and I’m supposed to simply sit with this appliance. I requested an immediate swap and they said “well once it’s installed we can’t remove” when they did not even install the stove properly? They pass the buck and tell you (once you finally speak to a manager - I’m working with Johanna) that you need to reach out to GE for them to fix a brand new faulty appliance. I feel that they are wasting my time and running in circles and they will not fix their wrongs or the fact they delivered and half installed broken damaged and possibly refurbished appliances. Their practices are absurd. They do not take responsibility. This is all a complete scam. The serial numbers on the appliances do not work for rebates. This company will steal your money, and it will take headaches and stress to get it back. Be warned. And before you reply, AJ Madison, with some silly “I’m so sorry you’re disappointed “ bull, reach out to ME via the channels and emails we have been communicating on. Order #162831375 I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB as well and will update this review with what arises.

United States | 02 March 2023I ordered all of my appliances per a recommendation. Once we were ready to install the appliances, we noticed that one had been damaged and frankly unusable. I called AJ Madison and they indicated that there was nothing that they can do - while there was a lapse in timing of when the appliances could be installed, I will never order online again!

Finally arrived in late January.. horrible communication and delivery experience.. washer damaged. Promised expedited replacement. Two weeks later and still nothing.. Don’t waste your time and money.. absolute joke..

United States | 13 February 2023Bought a flushmount kit for my induction cooktop. It's tiny. Box dimensions were about 6"x6". Weighed about 1.5 lbs. Some foam tape and a metal bracket. They charged me $35 shipping. Non-refundable. I didn't use the product. They only reason they have two stars is because I worked a deal with them where if I pay the shipping back, they won't charge me the 25% restocking fee. It cost me about $12.50 to ship it back. AJ is all about that cash money! I hope whatever lambo you're driving is sweet. Point is, just don't.

United States | 09 February 2023Bought an undercount fridge from Ajmadison and I can honestly say it’s been a horrible experience. The freezer door was broken and took 6 weeks to get a technician to repair. The fridge door is also sagging with the technician could not adjust. Now I am waiting for another technician to come out and see if he can repair. Ajmadison’s customer service is appalling. Do not buy an Applicance from these people if it’s faulty they don’t care. Go somewhere else anywhere else do not buy from these people.

United States | 14 January 2023We went with AJ Madison because they had a washer/dryer model in stock and guaranteed 24 hour shipping for it. I called sales directly to confirm this. It did not ship for a week and we received no notice at all or an explanation for this delay. When it did arrive, it arrived with a bent facade but we were so desperate for a working washer at this point, that we didn’t even mind. the installers were in a rush and once it was installed, it began to trip our outlet and breaker. The old washer never did this even just a day ago. The installers did not seem to care and insisted we sign. I asked them to test it first but they declined. We had an electrician come and replace the outlet and breaker but the washer still wouldn’t work. I called the AJ Madison contracted installer and they came to check it. I asked if they could just bring a replacement so we wouldn’t be without a washer for even longer and they declined. They confirmed it was defective and said they’d have AJ Madison reach out to us. 3 more days go by with nothing so I called them. They explain that it’s not their problem that they sold USA a defective unit that has never run a single cycle and that it’s now our responsibility to fix it with the manufacturer. We’ve spent hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours at the laundromat because of their negligence and horrible business practices. I’ll be taking this up with the better business bureau.

United States | 24 December 2022Had to keep calling to get my fridge delivered as promised by Christmas eve. Customer service not helpful or friendly. Asked rep to include installation and haul away charge in price, he never went back to do that, had to call 3 times to get that charged. Finally fridge was delivered on 12/23 and they would not haul away old fridge because I have copper lines. I understand it is in the fine print but sales should go over that at time of purchase, so I could not get my new fridge and being charged $500 restocking fee, I could see 10 or 15% but not 35%. Delivery guy also messed up my expensive rug and I will have to pay to get that cleaned as well. I would never recommend this company, I was really exited about this purchase and now am out $500 and no fridge. It isn't right.

Anyway, this guy goes you'll be lucky to get it after Christmas. translation they lied about shipping it on the 13th because I should of known better. I asked for a refund and he wanted a 35% restock fee. So i called Wells Fargo played them the recording of the phone call. and charged back the entire purchase. United States | 07 December 2022Purchased stackable washer/drier and the product is fine, but the service is absolutely terrible. The "professional installers" that you hire via AJMadison are a joke and have no idea what they are doing. They tracked mud through our home even though we have a paved entrance, then damaged our walls, stair railings, and even splintered off a piece of wood from our custom made stairs. Then when they left, they lied straight to my wife's face stating "everything is working, it is all hooked up". Turns out they completely messed up and broke the drier vent to the outside so it was venting right into the house - This is a gas drier! Oh, but luckily, they didn't even hook up the gas line because they threw it out!!!!! And to top it all off, they didn't even bother to hook up the water for the steam portion. I don't know what was more astonishing to me, the fact that they were so incompetent, ridiculously unprofessional, or completely dishonest. A second crew came out to confirm what lack of work was done, only to report that yes, the gas line is now missing and I needed to purchase a new line! So another week later, a third crew came out and finished the installation - with me purchasing a new gas line and a new vent line that the first crew broke! What was AJ Madison's response - "we will give you an extra two years on the warranty". When I ask about the damage to the home, the response is "you will have to file a claim with the installation company, we don't do this" I'm sorry, I gave AJ Madison my money with the inclusion of their installation service, and now they state it is not their responsibility!!!? The irony is while you wait on hold for well over an hour to talk with customer service, you get to listen to their hold message explaining "how important it is to hire their professional installation services for safety". Needless to say, both AJ Madison and their third party installers have gone completely silent. I spent thousands of dollars on product, lack of service I was promised, and now I have thousands of dollars of damage to my home that I have to repair. NEVER TRUST AJ MADISON.
