Switzerland | 04 September 2022We ordered a Miele washing machine, which is designed to be stacked on top of the dryer. AJ Madison did not deliver the stacking unit (to bolt the washer and dryer together). In addition, the delivery people from the trucking company AJ Madison works with in New Mexico, who were supposed to install the unit, were completely unprofessional. (We deliberately ordered the full installation service.) They simply stacked the washer on top of the dryer without bolting the two units together, complained that they had no time to do anything else, and left our renter (an elderly lady) to deal with the situation. The first time she tried to use it, the washing machine fell off the dryer and crashed to the floor. That was about two weeks ago. Since then, daily calls taking typically an hour or more on hold to both AJ Madison and the trucking/delivery company have resulted in no action. The washing machine remains where it was, crashed on the floor, and the renters can neither do their laundry nor use the room in which the washing machine was placed. We are now at the point of considering to call another distributor to deliver a new unit and remove the existing Miele washer (which may well be broken after the fall). In that case, we would take legal action against AJ Madison for our trouble. Our only concern is whether this might actually result in even greater delays for our poor renters and greater expense for us. AJ Madison has given such poor service that we are now at a loss for how to redress this damage.

Now it’s already 2.5 weeks since first scheduled delivery and I haven’t seen the washer and dryer I bought. Remember, never buy anything from AJ Madison or you can never receive your stuff.

United States | 26 August 2022They were unable to deliver because they came with a big truck that didn’t fit the docking bay. Then they tried to charge $75 to come another day PLUS A SMALL TRUCK FEE, never disclosed before. Ridiculous.

United States | 18 August 2022We requested a model that has three trays including a third top tray. We were assured by the salesperson it had it. After it was delivered and installed we noticed it did not have the third tray. I send emails to ask what what’s happening. We were told that a request for the technicians was sent. We never heard back. This is NOT what we expect from AJ Madison where we have been doing business for decades! Very disappointing!! The quality of the dish washer is excellent as all the Bosch products! Just not what we wanted.

United States | 16 August 2022I ordered a full condo of appliances. One piece was missing. It took days of calls to finally get through to someone to get a replacement. The replacement came, and was broken (stacking kit for a w/d). I sent it back as requested. They did not trigger a replacement - it took three emails and a phone call. When I posted a bad review on their site - they rejected it...the truth hurt too much.

That in my eyes alone is starting that they are scamming people. They delivered a damaged Washer and refuse to send out a new one. Don’t trust them.

United States | 10 August 2022DO NOT ORDER FROM AJ MADISON! They have nonresponsive customer service and a strategic restocking fee ( 35%) for intentionally profiting off online customers who click on their incorrect links on Google. We documented all the wrong links and sent to both Z-Line and AJ Madison for proof and got zero response back. This needs to be addressed and is lousy business practice. For example, although they understand they have incorrect links from Google that direct to the wrong product on their site – they make no attempts to update or revise the correct links while continuing to charge an additional 35% to customers who want the right product. THIS IS morally wrong and is a horrible strategy to gain and profit. More than 50% of products on AJ Madison's site are INCORRECTLY linked from Google to their site – promoting an incorrect customer purchase which works in their favor since now they can charge that 35% restocking fee, which is all profit. This is WRONG. Z-Line is unable to control its retailers as I had to call them more than a dozen times to reach anyone to rectify this mistake, and they were unwilling to support immoral behavior and bad practices from their retailers. This affects Z-LINE's reputation and brand recognition. This is an overall terrible practice. Long story short, I purchased an oven range using a wrong link that directed me to AJ Madison's site with the incorrect part number. I ordered the wrong range using the link, and now they will not take accountability. They never confirmed my order, and they are now trying to stick us with their 35% restocking fee policy for me to order the correct range. Z-Line has also confirmed that there should be NO restocking fee for these wrong orders since the appliances are not even stocked at AJ Madison - they are stored at Z-Line. So WHY DOES AJ Madison continue to charge a restocking fee? They do this to profit off these wrong orders that are intentionally mis-linked and unfixable from AJ's Madison's site from Google.

United States | 06 August 2022I just had a refrigerator delivered from Aj Madison . All i can say is DO NOT BUY FROM THEM ! They have the worst customer sales service . The sales staff is horrible . I bought a side by side refrigerator with ice and water in the door and I was charged 100 dollars to install the water and ice . When the delivery came the guy refused to i stall it After i spent more that three hours on the phone after the guy left and i yried to get them to ipick up the refrigerator . It is Friday and they want to puck it up on wednesday . UNACEPTABLE !!! DO NOT BUY THERE !

United States | 02 August 2022Do yourself a favor and shop someplace else. I bought a dishwasher, which they said was in stock but somehow took four weeks to arrive at the delivery terminal. No updates, no one had any idea where it was in the journey, just nothing for four weeks. Then came the fun of dealing with the awful delivery service they use. I received less than 24 hours notice for my delivery window, and they had conveniently already uninstalled my existing unit before revealing the new unit, which had been damaged during shipping (front panel dented). The installers did an awful job installing the dishwasher (not at all even with the cabinets and didn't bother adjusting the kick panel, so about 2" of the sub-floor was visible right in front of the dishwasher. Not really the look I was going for, nor was I real pumped about having to spend 1-2 hours redoing the install myself. The installers said that AJ Madison would arrange for the damaged door panel to be replaced but to be sure and call AJ Madison. So I called AJ Madison, reported the issue and was told by the service rep that they had received a photo of the damage from the installers. Service rep then said they would call the manufacturer, who would contact me to schedule an appointment. After not hearing anything for two weeks, I called AJ Madison back and was told (i) they need a better picture of the damage and (ii) they also need a photo of the box it came in! They finally relented on the photo of the box and settled for a new photo of the dent. A few days later a licensed repair person arrived with no knowledge of the issue and told me it would take 14 to 16 weeks to get a new door panel from Miele. So all-in, I'll have spent a solid 5-6 months just to get a unit that looks and operates the way it's supposed to.

United States | 28 July 2022Trust every bad thing you have read on here and go somewhere else to buy your appliance - there are plenty of options, Went to store to choose a refrigerator and laid out all the parameters, including needing it that week, choose based on that, for sales person. Called the next day to buy, took 2 calls for him to call back - I was told fridge could be delivered Friday, even got COI. Then on day of delivery was told not coming and had to gg through 3rd party at huge additional cost - and here's the kicker - take 4 weeks to get it deliver4ed & installed. Over 10 calls to customer service with multiple promises of following up (which never happened) nothing got resolved. Worse company ever - just terrible.

United States | 27 July 2022Welcome to the suck. I am embarrassed and indignant that I did business with such an uncaring and incompetent business. Prepare for misery with AJ Madison. Once you buy they disappear and pass you to an equally dim witted delivery service called AM Trucking and Home Delivery. In my case two shipments of a stackable Bosch dryer and washing machine. Both shipments appallingly muffed, deliveries missed, installers unprepared to do the work. Be prepared for misery and stress. I will NEVER work with AJ Madison again. Horrible.

United States | 26 July 2022OMG! I wished I had of looked at the reviews before I ordered! My washer and dryer were delivered a few days ago. Minutes after it was SO called installed, I washed a load and as it was spinning to rinse, water was everywhere because they didnt leave the hose in its proper place! I called and emailed them my issues and almost 5 days later, Not One phone call or email reply! Ive been places on long hold times via phone!!! Since the washing machine flood, there is a wire that sticks out near my lint box. NEVER EVER AGAIN! The fact that customer service has failed to reach out to me after I reported the issues. What a way to get started on my new appliances!!!

Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!" Thanks again, AJ Madison My feedback: Shame on AJMadison for Deceptive Practice Ordered the coffee system on June 11. AJ Madison issued invoice on June 14 and charged credit card $2,000! Received a shipping confirmation on 16 but was never picked up by UPS. A follow up via email with AJMadison on June 17 resulted in another invoice being issued and a second shipment notice. On June 22, AJ Madison continues to say that the coffee maker was shipped. UPS on the other hand stated that it still did not receive it. On June 28, I contacted AJ Madison Customer Service who now claims that the product will ship soon. I cancelled the order and purchased at another store. Buyer beware!

They failed to deliver the double ovens I paid upfront for- then tried to make me give them a credit card authorization for an amount they could not tell me for delivery. When I expressed having hesitation for a blank authorization to charge me, they said I could cancel my order if they keep 35 percent of the 4500 I paid! What! I have never had such a horrible customer service experience. It’s scary. Buyer beware. Please go anywhere else! Like anywhere….

United States | 08 July 2022Run don't walk away from this company. Took a chance spending over 4k on a mini split and two wall units. Got the compressor but no wall units which were $1400.00. Called about 10 times only get promises and run arounds. Its been almost 2 months and all they say is its shipped. Don't think I will ever get them. They are pros at blowing you off. Had to dispute charge on credit card. These people are cons. Please send any complaints to NYS attorney general so they can start following them and maybe put them out of business. UPDATE: After seeing my review they did refund me for the unshipped items.

United States | 06 July 2022Don't use AJ Madison. Good prices, reasonable delivery timing for products in stock. However, when there is an issue, and a piece is missing from the order, it will take 10-12 hours of your life - and counting...still no reply back after the first contact, which took hours to get a person on the phone. They never replied to my emails to customer support - 1 per business day. They are terrible as customer service, and will leave you with a dryer that you can not stack on your washer for at least 2 weeks (and counting) because they can't seem to decide to follow up, answer a phone call, or answer an email. Awful experience.

United States | 02 July 2022I had issues finding a specific microwave when we were remodeling our kitchen. The first place we ordered from said it would be shipped at the end of the week. The day before the arrival date, we received an email stating it was delayed for two months! We cancelled the order and searched elsewhere. That order came in on time, but came in damaged. I watched the delivery man drop it twice in the truck and once I’n my yard. Now, it was obvious we would not have the microwave in time for the renovation. Miraculously, AJ Madison had it in stock. When I called them to verify that it was, indeed, in stock, they helped me expedite the order and ship the same day to ensure no one else tagged it. I received email notifications every day with an update on the delivery status. The delivery service they use, AM Home Delivery, is great! The delivery was on time and the microwave was safely packaged and delivered! This was the best service we have had during the entire renovation! AJ Madison and AM Home Delivery are amazing! I will definitely do business with them again!

United States | 01 July 2022Under no circumstances should you buy from AJ Madison! Go to ABT, or Best Buy or PC Richards or Lowe's or ANYWHERE ELSE. They sold me an Electrolux washing machine and installation service... but they neglected to tell me that the installers would not be able to complete the installation of all the features of the machine, such as the reversible door. (Washing machines come with a hinge on the left side, but in my tiny space, I need the hinge on the right side.) So now I need to hire ANOTHER installation company (a REAL one) to reverse the door, and it will cost over $300. Call me crazy, but I think that if you sell a machine on with a reversible door on your website, and you sell professional installations, YOU MUST INDICATE THAT THE INSTALLERS ARE UNABLE TO HANDLE ALL ASPECTS OF THE INSTALLATION. And that's not all. I wish I could post photos here to show you the state they left my apartment in. They left dirt and garbage all over the floor. Dirt was ground dirt into the carpet in such a way that it will have to be professionally cleaned or replaced. And they dumped the trash, old hoses and dirty hardware in our (full) clothing hamper. As an added bonus, they broke the drain pan under the washer! The Electrolux machine is great. I just wish I had bought it ANYWHERE ELSE.

No one informed us that the appliance was damaged they just indicated it was not on the truck for delivery. When we called to get status our sales contact and customer service were not available.
