United Kingdom | 21 February 2025We ordered & received an Oak Shaker 1 Light - Prefinished Clear Internal Door from Vibrant Doors. The door was despatched promptly and arrived on 03/12/24. It was fitted in the hallway and allowed light into an otherwise gloomy hallway. However once hung it appeared that the glass in the door was NOT embossed by the British Standard glass safety marking as required for ALL glazing in domestic and commercial settings. Safety glass is a legal requirement in the UK, specifically in designated "critical locations" like doors, door side panels, and low-level glazing within 800mm from the floor, as outlined by the Building Regulations to protect people from injury due to impact with glass; it is mandatory to install safety glass in these areas. When we queried this omission with Vibrant Doors they provided a copy of a document stating the glass they use complies with Chinese safety standards. This may be fine for China but I don't see how it can be sufficient for the UK market if BS safety markings are a mandatory requirement. I do not think this is a satisfactory product as I fear it could cause injury if the glass was broken and did not shatter safely. I would NOT recommend this door or buy a glass door from this company again unless the glass was BS safety marked. UPDATE FOLLOWING RESPONSE FROM VIBRANT DOORS: Thankyou for the information regarding the 'Prism' test - I contacted my local Building Control in Cornwall County Council and they informed me that they are not able to conduct a prism test and so I have no way of verifying your claim. However on 13/03/25 Katherine Burdett from Vibrant Doors advised me by email that the etching should be visible in the bottom right hand corner of the door, I have therefore checked the door yet again and sure enough, the etching is tiny but it is there - HP BS EN12150 although I had missed it when examining the door many times before as it is so faint and minuscule. I wish this information had been provided when we first raised our concerns rather than just sending us a copy of a Chinese safety test certificate or provided when I submitted the negative review but I was just advised to get a Prism test. Thank you for eventually providing this clarification, I am relieved to see the etching and have amended my review & rating accordingly. The door is very crude and basic in its finishing but it does the job of bringing light into our hallway which was the motivation for getting it in the first place. I would probably pay more for a better finished door in the future but it arrived promptly, does the job and bears the necessary glass etching now that I've been told exactly where it can be found.

United Kingdom | 20 February 2025Absolutely appalling service would NOT recommend to anyone. We ordered 7 x doors on the 9th January and was advised 2 x doors out of stock but due delivery on the 13th Jan. We have since been fobbed off until 20th Feb and still no doors. The doors were delivered to the courier on the 6th Feb, but apparently the new courier couldn’t cope with larger orders so sent to another courier. Total lack of communication. Vibrant confirmed that our doors would be delivered on various days, we waited in but they never arrived. Currently they are unable to provide a delivery date although the doors are at the courier, I have no faith in what they are saying anymore and are planning to go down the legal route.
