Excellent experience. Very smooth pickup from airport.. The car was brand new and we drove over 4000 miles with not one problem.

Unfortunately I had a issue when picking up car which was not Kemwels fault it Was Fox Rent a Car - They didn't want to honor the booking and claimed several different problems with my reservations - It took 2 1/2 hours to finally get my car and FOX Rent a Car gave me a filthy beat up car - Fox claimed I needed a International Drivers License but the contract clearly stated I did not

This felt like a bait and switch because the counter in rome required that we present an international driver's license and said that if we did not have one, then we would have to pay 150 euros. I rent cars in Europe, the US and South America approximately 10 times a year and have NEVER been asked for an international driver's license. After some arguing, they reduced the "mandatory fee" to 64 euros. We were stuck because this was prepaid, so we agreed. Also, at one point they claimed our reservation was cancelled. I have worked with Kemwel for nearly 20 years and never had such a problem. When you also consider they charged us 150 euros to drop the car off in Bologna, it really left us with a bad taste in our mouth for Goldstar/Rhodium. The rest of the rental was fine, but this felt like we were dealing with Ryan Air, a cheapskate company that nickels and dimes you so that your cost is more than a legacy carrier. We will not rent with them again.

Avis had the car we wanted and was a good car. But I had pre-paid $634.39 to kemwel and yet I was Charged me E209.47 They charged E84.00 for a child's seat which is very excessive, but I do not know what the additional E125.44 was for. I have used Avis with you before in Europe and I dislike the way they operate. Please let me know what the extra charges are. Thanks Jim Harrington PS we have used Kemwel for over 30 years and the only problem we have had is with Avis Please send to Kemwel

Experience was great. We decided to change cars prior to traveling and the Kemwel representative handled it quickly. Car rental was smooth, no problems.

Had to wait over two hours for a car. Tried to explain critical check in time at apartment but was unable to get any priority. Attendants were courteous but unable to provide a car in time. Ended up with a good car but the two hour delay caused significant problems. Appeared to not to have enough personnel to address the overload situation. Unlikely to use Europcar in the future

A 30-day trip in France made it possible to rent a Peugot 308 at an amazingly low price. Excellent car! Comfortable, easy to handle, trunk room for 2 large suitcases and 2 carry-one with the security cover down.

Upgraded to a Nissan SUV with nav. Car had 8 mi on it but I got a engine check light before I left the lot. Got another Nissan with 400 miles on it. After 6 hrs of driving got all sorts of warning lights including a red engine check light. Car would not get above 30 mph. Limped to hotel. Called Hertz emergency number they told me to call Nissan because the car was under warrenty. Other numbers, I only got answering machines. I hated to drive the car but drove it to Hertz in Edinburgh and finally got the car changed. Manager there very helpful. Told Hertz at Heathrow when I finished the trip and they took off 2 days of rental.

The reservation was not made correctly in our name and due to that we had to pay 300.00 more then what was quoted.

When we picked up the car it displayed a yellow warning light regarding tire pressure the Europcar agent told us to ignore the warning, apparently the company was not interested in adjusting the tire pressure to clear the advisory. We completed our journey without incident, but believe this is poor procedure on their part.
