Problem was with Oryx rental car agency once we tried to get our car in Split Croatia. They informed us that they had no relationship with Kemwel and that we had to pay insurance that cost as much as the car rental to avoid having to 'pay for the entire car' if anyone hit us. I called Kemwel and they said that Oryx insurance was necessary to avoid the Kemwel deductible -- but I wish all of this had been spelled out clearly in the initial price quote, etc. It ended up costing us $78 for a one day rental, not $37. Dissatisfied with Oryx in particular - especially with their lack of any semblance of customer service - but Kemwel should have made the situation more transparent before we booked our car.

They offer and extra insurance for some euros more. No problem at all and they were helpful what you can expect (want) from a car rental browser.

Car had not been cleaned when it was picked up; the exterior was heavily bug encrusted.

I have been renting cars with Kemwell for years and have always been satisfied with their service. Kemwell’s best prices are on the long term Peugeot rentals. However, the rental agency to which I am referred when not doing a long term Peugeot rental always gives me options which raise the low cost of a Kemwell rental to cost of the vehicle if I went through car rental company.

Excellent service as always, not the first time I have used Kemwel to book my rental cars and always it has been a good experience, with all their rental car partners.

This is the first time I had booked anything on Kemwel, and it was a pre-paid car rental for the Denver area (Kemwel voucher 418873) 2 days before the planned travel, my wife had a miscarriage, and we had no option but to cancel our entire trip - we had a doctor letter barring her from any travel for 2 weeks, and all the hotels and airlines were most accommodating in allowing us to cancel our trip with no penalties. I called Kemwel a day before the planned trip, and the customer rep informed me that they would deduct $100 and refund the rest - I looked up the cancelation policy in the agreement, noticed it said "Reservations made on an Internet Rate are subject to a cancellation fee of $75 USD if cancelled within 2 days of pick up", so I didn't object to the additional $25 as long as the bulk of my $300 rental was being refunded. I have not seen the refund on my Amex card and its been over a month, leaving me no choice but to write this dismal review and inform Amex about the same too.

Great service

I will use this company again. I liked everything about it, from making the reservation, having to call and the ease of making a change and the drop off and pick up of my car.

Inexpensive option, seamless experience

Failed to update reservation arrival date, despite assurance that this would happen. As a result, rental company charged by CC on top of Kemwel charge. Caused big hassle to have charge removed. Desk service agent was also dismissive and short with me at pick-up. Better manner might have avoided this problem, but instead he was unapproachable and I think this contributed to reservation confusion.

Great experience and inexpensive rate. Only complaint would be that they don't have the 1 hr grace period so you really have to plan accordingly for NYC/area traffic issues or jeopardize a day penalty.

Excellent! Only changing the date for the rental period, one day later, gave some light issues, but was all settled. Would def. rent again! This rental was 3x cheaper then renting direct from Avis/Hertz etc.
