On another note the automatic car I received from Dollar was pretty beat up with over 80,000 km. It kept bouncing back and forth between the lower gears when accelerating.

United States | 29 September 2017My reservation was not available at the time I went to pick up the car. I had to wait until the next day to get it. I paid in advance and the car rental charged my credit card again. I was not refunded yet! It is a mess!!

Canada | 29 September 2017My car rental booking experience was decent - no issues with the booking however Kemwel has not responded at all or even acknowledged a customer service concern I filed with them over 3 weeks ago. If you have a customer service dept and you ask me to send you an email with specific details of my concern - then do nothing!! Will not use Kemwel again as a result

United States | 29 September 2017Whe I picked up the vehicle and was low in gas !!! I took a picture with my iPhone since I had a least a similar problem with Europcar in the past. I returned the vehicle to CDG with more gas than when i took the car and was charged over 100 euros for gas after i took the time to explain and show the pics to the Europcar ! They charged also an extra day for being a little late... Just rented a car with Enterprise in NYC last weekend they charge by the hour over ;) Anyway, since they gave me a very untidy car they should waive that as well ! Disputing all charges with credit card and waiting from Europcar Statement ! Avis or Hertz next time , added fraudulent fuel charges appear to be common practice with Europcar !!! When i spoke with Kemwel staff, it appeared that I was not the only person compalining of fraudulent gas charges. I guess you can call thtat robbing your customers ! Best regards, Dr. Mazure

United States | 29 September 2017I prepaid for 9-7 to 9-21, as instructed on my reservation form went to the Budget counter at Kevalik airport, received a car, end of trip returned to the Budget facility where the people were not nice and was charged an amount double what I had already paid. I have complained to Budget and am awaiting their response. I never received the an email with the receipt as I was told I would, I'm not sure if you can be of assistance but I would not use Budget, Avis or Kemwel again if it is this much of a hassle and expense.

United States | 29 September 2017We recently returned from a trip to The Dolomites in Italy and had rented a car through Kemwel. When my husband's wallet was stolen in Venice, we realized we had a problem given that the rental car was reserved in his name, with his driver's license and with his credit card! Yikes! One call to Kemwel Customer Service had us speaking with an amazing woman who was able to change our reservation to my name and my credit card. This one positive interaction - with an amazing member of the Kemwel team - turned a negative start into an amazing vacation. Just another example of how a Customer Service Representative with a 'can do' attitude and a 'we can fix this' mantra can turn around a vacation that got off with a rough start! Thanks for a great little car to explore the mountain passes all throughout The Dolomites!!

United States | 29 September 2017I reserved the car through Kemwel for a really good price, and got the car from Avis (with a free upgrade to Audi even though I reserved just an economic car). I read reviews before that Kemwel was able to offer low price because it doesn't come with full insurance coverage - which was fine for me because I got collision damage waiver from my credit card company, so Kemwel worked just perfect. The whole process was smooth without any problem.

United States | 29 September 2017When I booked my rental online, I chose to add the insurance at the additional cost. When I went to pick up the car at the airport, I was told we didn't have insurance coverage, so I could either have them hold a deposit from the credit card and be responsible for any damage, or pay $15 a day for insurance. Sadly, my insurance purchase was not on the copy of the email I brought, so we were scared into buying more – almost doubling the cost of the initial bid. When we finally got the car, it was filthy on the inside and out. The drop-off spot at the Zagreb airport was chaotic. We luckily had decided to drop it off the day before we left – since it was going to cost even more to drop it off before our 6:30AM flight the next morning – and good thing! It took about an hour and a half for the process: find an empty space in one of the only three spots they had for the agency in a parking lot full of cars and people, then walk to the return counter in the airport and stand in line, finally get to customer service, then wait about 20 minutes while they walk back out to the lot to check the car and return with the report, then wait again for customer service so we could get the contract closed.

United States | 29 September 2017Claimed I scratched the car and charged 62 Euro for a miniscule scratch. I disagreed that they had proof that the scratch was caused by me since it was so small that no one would notice it even if inspecting it. They went ahead and charged me without my consent, even though I signed the slip that I refused. Other than the charges, the rental was fine although there are a number of "counter" fees you should expect.

Forced to pay extra for second driver Car tire went flat several times and I had to beg to get a different car, go to Grasse to do the exchange and waisted a whole day !!!

You may want to make it more prominent that if you pick up a car at a train station (a common practice in Europe) that there is an additional charge when returned. This was not highlighted when I rented the car, and the Avis people (upon return) could not explain the charge. I had to call later to have it explained.

United States | 29 September 2017I did not enjoy my experience with Europcar. I do like to use Kemwel and have been a long time client. However if you insist on using Europcar in France, w.o. giving me another option, I will be forced to choose another rental agency. As for my last experience: lines were extremely long, agents inexperienced, cars unavailable. As a result, I cancelled my reservation and went elsewhere.
