Excellent photos. Good service and well packaged.

I ordered my photos to print online and headed out on my break to get them printed, thinking it would be an easy in and out trip. Unfortunately not! When scanning my QR code and manually inputting the collection code, the machine said “Your order cannot be produced here”. I tried all the machines. I asked the Boots assistant for help, and although lovely, she couldn’t help me, she had no idea. She asked me if I could come back tomorrow? In the end I decided to just print the photos manually and start the experience again, to which it couldn’t connect to my phone so I had to upload my photos to the CEWE website and then manually type in my details to get my photos (it’s 2024 surely there’s a better way to sign in?). Then it wouldn’t offer me the same sizes as there were online, I couldn’t get the standard 6x4 - maybe this is why they wouldn’t print in the first place? But that’s not really up to me to diagnose. After finally printing and spending 45 mins in the shop, I returned to work. I then explained the issue to an online chat agent, to which they didn’t even apologise!!!! My pet peeve. Then they said as the payment is pending I’ll be refunded once the QR code expires next week. I explained the money had left my account and although pending, it was still unavailable for me to use, so close to Christmas. I asked them to cancel the order which would then cancel the pending payment. The agent just could not understand my issue. I gave up honestly, after what should have been such a simple straight forward experience, turned into such a stressful hassle.

I enjoy using the Bootsphoto online programme for making up photobooks. I use it mostly for gathering together recipes, but also for gathering together information and photos on a particular subject which I know my family enjoy. They make an original and personalised present and makes sure that memories do not get forgotten. The online programme is easy and fun to use, and provides many different ways of producing what you want, books, photos, mugs etc. Photos always come out clear and beautifully printed. Allow anything up to a week for your work of art to be printed - the finished product is worth the wait!
