Old boiler out & new one in before dinner (and on a very wet day). Clean workmanship, decent price, good "which" magazine best buy boiler. No complaints. I can even get £50 if I introduce another customer. Easy money!

They said they could do the boiler quite soon, but when I actually called to book it the next day all those earlier slots had been booked up so I had to wait about 10 days I think, but overall it was a good service. The guy who fitted it was a decent bloke, cheerful. No issues since. Happy customer.

United Kingdom | 04 January 2019Where to even start with this mess. We had a Pottertron boiler previously, linked with a hot water cylinder. The boiler broke so we called in Hassle Free Boilers for a replacement due to the age. See below for the truly awful service and lack of ownership: *Quote from Richard received - we advised we were without hot water and have a baby, can priority be given please. We were told they were looking into other engineers in the area, and we will be given an update. That update never came, so we were without hot water from the date we paid (26th November to 4th December) *The day of the install arrived, boiler parts arrived but no boiler. They had to drive elsewhere to pick one up, and were told we were lucky as if it wasn't for the baby we would of had to re-arrange (HFB issue - not ours). They couldn't get the boiler electrically live on the day to work with the cylinder, they had to run a big black wire between the boiler and the existing thermostat for example. Previously this was hidden. *Sine installation central heating works fine but hot water is no longer done by the boiler, we have to use the immersion heater electric to do it. We were getting Hive installed a week later regardless, so left it as thought it would be rectified anyway and would save a call out (trying to be nice). Contacted HFB to advise it persisted and someone came out to have a look, but he wasn't up on wiring or certified in unvented cylinders and recommended someone called Rob coming. We were thankful of this but the issue continued. *Next engineer came out but it wasn't Rob as we were advised, and he tried for a few hours to get it working but blamed Hive and said we need to get them out. The engineer also closed a valve so hot water would be done at the same time as central heating, but British Gas deemed this as unsafe practice. We were told it's the cylinders safety mechanism so it doesn't exceed 120 degrees. They advised the wiring to the boiler is a mess. Contacted Hassle Free Boilers and we were told by Mike we would be charged £50 an hour if they come out to have a look at this. Just over a month since they installed it, they are trying to impact our family's finances for a fault they created. The previous boiler worked fine with the cylinder, the new one should do so as well. In addition two things on the quote have yet to be honoured, the 10 year warranty has not been received and the quote clearly says 2 years workmanship warranty. How is it we would be charged £50 an hour for workmanship that broke how the previous system worked? It's your responsibility to ensure it works, and if it doesn't fix it. I'll be taking this further but for anyone looking at this company I encourage you to look elsewhere, even if it costs more. We had another quote from British Gas, in hindsight we should have gone with. It cost more but the service would have been better, and their priority service is within 2 days. Avoid at all costs, pay more for a better experience and after sales. Edit for HFB response: No one in their right mind is going to accept someone to come round when you're saying it might be chargeable. Bear in mind the previous system worked fine, you came and installed a Veissmann and it didn't work right thereafter. These problems happened after 2 people installed this boiler from you, simple as.

United Kingdom | 30 December 2018I had my new ideal boiler fitted over a year ago and despite a little mess left by their fitters I have had no problem with the service provided, however when I rang ideal to have my boiler serviced I was told that the warranty for the boiler was never registered by HFB which was included in the price of fitting the boiler. I contacted HFB over 3 months ago now regarding this and was told they would sort this with ideal, I have had to chase them now several times but still nothing has happened.

United Kingdom | 09 December 20181 star more than i wanted to give it reported a fault at 15.39 i was promised a call back from an engineer 6 calls later and waiting over 6 hours for a call back I'm in the Midlands he was in Newcastle as my engineer was not answering his phone then the engineer couldn't help as he was to far away disgraceful service for a boiler only 17 months old

United Kingdom | 04 December 2018professional and pleasant on all telephone calls from initial contact to final payment. Did not matter I needed to call 5 times to clarify things. They managed to install new boiler within 2 days as I had no heating or hot water. Installation day went without a hitch. Gas engineer, tidy and clean worker left house spotless. Polite at all times. Cannot fault company especially the price.

Much cheaper quote than the more well known boiler companies and the boiler they supplied was very highly rated on the which? website. Friendly staff throughout and no pressurising sales, but then they don’t need to with such a good service. I recvommend them.

United Kingdom | 26 November 2018Did not get off to a good start. Boiler delivered was damaged but installed anyway as old boiler had been removed. Eventually after some months and lots of phone calls and correspondence, a new boiler was delivered and fitted. Different fitter said previous installation had not been done properly. We are still awaiting our boiler information pack some 4 months after installation!!!! This was promised again last week by HFB but still not arrived.

Reported no hot water early this morning and have been told that they cannot find a Worcester engineer to come and help until next Monday (6 days!) We are a family with 3 young children. This is completely unacceptable and was not what we signed up for. Hassle Free Boilers unfortunately do not live up to what they promise!! Call centre very unhelpful and had a “don’t care” attitude. Avoid at all costs if you want a faulty boiler left unfixed for the best part of a week, especially if you have young children. UPDATE 22.11.18 (16.48): No contact from Worcester and a rude email from Hassle Free this afternoon.
