United Kingdom | 06 July 2017They came, removed the old, fitted new boiler. We were well pleased throughout the whole procedure. Even better, a year on the feelgood factor is still there. Recommended ? Of course.

United Kingdom | 29 June 2017I have been happy with the service received from hassle free boilers from start to finish. No complaints at all. I did get a good deal but only after not accepting there first or second quote so was worth waiting to be contacted a few times to negotiated. Good polite service and left home tidy and clean.

United Kingdom | 29 June 2017Very professionally processed and installed. Answers to questions about warranty beyond 1 year were somewhat vaque.

United Kingdom | 29 June 2017The only problem I have is that the "hands-on" training given to ie set-up and/or change the temperature/clock was fleeting. The paper instructions are difficult to understand and the oral instructions were given as if I knew all about the system. My fault that I didn't ask for further training but I was so relieved that I had heating! I understand that I just have to contact the company and they will give assistance so I don't really have a problem. 5 Star treatment. Tom Roll

United Kingdom | 16 May 2017Stay clear! Incompetence at it's best! I had a poor experience with the install. (Damage to laminate flooring etc). A dangerous gas leak (I'm lucky to be writing this) and still haven't had the 12 month service (2 months overdue) I dread having a breakdown! Whilst I await their incompetent aftercare team manager, I'm getting in touch with trading standards. Companies like this need dragging over the coals.

United Kingdom | 27 April 2017Avoid due to poor customer service Boiler fitted April 2017 sub contacted work which was satisfactory- problem started 2 days later with a leak which was due to incorrect fitting magna clean. They have absolutely no after service whatsoever unless you pester them endlessly this makes the 2 year warranty rather worthless . Reported leak at 9.45 am promised call back did not take place, called 10.15 told a fitter will call late afternoon as he is 100 miles away but we will let you know when he will be there for repair. Again no call took place so I contacted them at 5.30 pm spoke to the same person who claimed he forgot to call me , I asked again will the engineer call today was told he is coming in an hour . 9pm received call from fitter who was still 100 miles away will be with me at 11pm ! I was concerned that he had a long round trip and agreed 8 am next day repair which did take place and the fix took 5 minutes . This fitter told me that to cover the UK they ( HFB )have only 5 service engineers and that's why the after service is so poor , he was not told about my call until 6.15 pm even though I reported issue at 09.45am and was told this fitter was aware of the leak to boiler I accept that in some cases revisits are required and whist my repair was done I would have no confidence in recommending HFB based on my experience with the poor service wile dealing with the service department . It's pretty damming when a member of their staff informs me they have staffing issues directly related to servicing and i don't believe HFB currently have the right staff to claim Hassle Free stays

United Kingdom | 20 April 2017The experience I had with this company was appalling, their customer service levels are non-existent. When I got the boiler quote they promised to fit my owl smart heating system so that it would work with the boiler but when it came to doing it they had no knowledge of how to do it. On top of that, one of their engineers was abusive and disrespectful on the phone. I have never been spoken to like that as a paying customer. There were several missed appointments where no-one turned up at the house though the appointment had been made - days wasted. One of their engineers took out a tile in my bathroom because they didn't check where to fit the control. I've sent a litany of complaints but the response has been virtually non-existent. I would not deal with this company again.

United Kingdom | 14 April 2017If I could put zero stars I would. Had a new boiler installed at the end of 2015 by 'Hassle Free Boilers'. The start of the process was fairly smooth, getting a quote in and a new boiler priced up. The work however, was not completed in one day, it took the span of around 2 weeks due to a lack of available engineers. They then installed a nest that was sold to me on the phone as the one that controls heating and water, but it was only the one that controlled heating (so had to get that removed and correct one installed by nest themselves). To finish things off, I have had an independent plumber come around telling me they definitely did not do a power flush as theres still sludge in the system ( so not the 'Full clean, flush and protection' put in quote). As a result, this has caused my boiler of just a year to malfunction as they did not clear through the pipes (very old house). Additionally, the boiler casing fixings are insecure/not safe, and was not put on properly. Basically, a lengthily and incorrect installation has caused easily avoidable problems, and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Aftercare was also very poor.

Denmark | 02 April 2017Positives: The sales staff were excellent answering all the questions. The asbestos removal company was arranged by HFB themselves and very promptly. The surveryor from HFB was arranged very promptly and was very knowledgeable. The engineers did a very good job and kept me informed. The scheme gave me assurance that whatever they do would be in the best interest of the heating and hot water system i.e. they will be maintaining it for the next 12 years and 1 month. The company is growing almost 100% every year for the past 3 years. All the engineers, surveyors and salesmen where their own employees and not 3rd party. Negatives: Applied on 18th March, they got back soon but after the weekend, so could have got back sooner as most boiler inquiries are urgent :). They created a question mark about asbestos on my boiler box, which none of the other 6 surveyors from other companies spotted. So, I suspect they were being over cautious. The company is loss making so I am not sure what will happen to insurance part of the contract if they go bust i.e. they are supposed to maintain my system for the next 12 years in lieu of payment of 40 pounds per month. Most disruptive 3/4 year old start ups are loss making. I have my fingers crossed, and hoping the installed system stays healthy the responsiveness demonstrated so far is lived up to in the future.

United Kingdom | 16 February 2017I have been sitting with a leaking radiator for many weeks (4+) now. It is the middle of Winter and I have to adjust the pressure many times a day at the boiler, otherwise there is no pressure and no hot water or heating. Multiple appointments to get the matter resolved have been cancelled by the Company - either on the same day or the day before. I have another appointment tomorrow and Phoned this morning to find out if someone can confirm that they will be here to attend to the matter as I have to take leave and make arrangements to be at my house (My second day of taking leave.) The person who answered the phone could not tell me if the appointment is confirmed and said to me that someone will phone me back. This did not happen. I had to phone back after 5 in the afternoon today for a second time to find out if I have to be at my house tomorrow - only to be told again that they cannot tell me if the appointment is actually confirmed. After a massive fight, someone magically appeared that was able to tell me that the appointment was booked for tomorrow. This is the best part : I was still busy talking to the person and he put the phone down in my ear. I would strongly advice people to rather get finance elsewhere and have boilers replaced once off as this apparent after care warranty is not worth it.

United Kingdom | 12 February 2017I know these guys have a fairly bad rep for poor installation work, but I've had a very positive experience. The first thing to understand about these guys is that their engineers are 3rd party contractors, so I guess sometimes you get a good one and sometimes you don't. I was lucky. Here's what was good: They came in a full £1,000 lower than British Gas for the same boiler and installation services. Finance option was way cheaper than BG, with a very competitive rate of around 7% Install engineer was friendly and professional (if a bit forgetful - he left his little radio and 2 copper pipes and a really cool drill bit at my house) Cleaned up relatively well. I didn't expect him to hoover the place and wash the dishes before he left, so my expectations were met. Really friendly, easy to deal with, very responsive, and everything happened bang on time. Considering that they're dealing with at least two 3rd parties, that's quite the coordination effort. So I'm a very happy customer, and I urge you to give them a try. Obviously you get what you pay for, and they are cheaper than British Gas, so actual results may vary.

United Kingdom | 28 December 2016Hasselfree boilers??? I think they need to rename their service!! Would not recommend at all and wish I had used a different company! Had new boiler fitted but they forgot to replace the thermostate however when I contacted them to tell them this straight Away they said they would ring me back and didn't! I rang twice and only had contact from them when they wanted to be paid- no mention of the thermostate! Explained no new thermostate and was told that if I didn't pay my service plan would be withheld so I paid although was told that I had to wait until after Christmas for the thermostate to be replaced. The heAting then stopped working on the 18th December - when called they arranged to come out to fix it out the man who came out said that the fitters had not done the job correctly and new parts would need to be ordered and I would have it all sorted on 23rd December . No one turned up and no called to explain why. After 2 hrs trying to speak to someone I received a call to tell me they had not got the parts and I would now have to wait until after Christmas!! After saying this was not good enough one of the managers brought me some oil heaters so we would not freeze over the holidays. I was told I would receive a call on the 28th stating when they would attend to get the heating working- I didn't! I chased this and was told they would be with me in an hour and a half. They weren't! 3hrs later he arrived at the door smoking. No apology for being late. After 30 minutes he stopped for Cigarette break- sat in cold house now hoping that my heating will be fixed at some point today! After taking 3 days off work it better do!! Have been told I will be compensated as it was accepted that this wasp pot service - let's hope that is hassel free because so far it has not been!!!

United Kingdom | 08 December 2016Where do i start, used hassle free boilers in 2014 and had no problems they sent there own staff in hassle free boiler vans and completed the job successfully and in a clean way. only problem was i recommended 2 friends with the vouchers they send and did not receive the refer a friend bonus from them Fast forward to November 2016 we have moved house and wanted a new boiler so we called them and first of all they missed 2 appointments for Survey. We decided to stay with them as they did a good job in 2014, we then have the fitters come round, in a unmarked Van and say they will fit boiler, First of all they were sub contracted local boys who we could of paid 1000 less to have the job done directly, They took the old boiler out and started to rattle the pipes to see where all the pipes Led very strongly we could hear them all round the house they then fit the boiler and just had to fit the thermostat next day. They left and we could see a bit of water leaking from the boiler in to kitchen it was very light so decided to wait the next day in which they fixed the leak. We went to bed and could hear running water from our shower constantly which was turned off, the next day when the engineers arrived we asked what this was in which he said not sure as cant see any leaking water. Just as they left we went outside and we saw our bricks was soaking wet of water and could see the leak was from the en suite. we called them straight away and he said oh we are on the way to another job ( we had them booked for 2 days was only there 1 day and 2 hours ) We said its not good enough please turn back, they said they will come on the evening ( didnt show up ) We called next day hassle free boilers and they came around in the evening and smashed the tiles in the bathroom to stop leak. and just left shower on the floor and smashed times and left. we called hassle free boilers who sent there own engineer and he had a look and left 1 week later. 4 weeks pass no call from hassle free boilers just letters saying job has completed please pay final payment. Today received a call from Nikki who said she believes job is complete and her engineers caused no damage and want full payment, i sent pictures of damage to wall and shower ( which has been like this for 4 weeks ) I offered we would pay but leave £200 off to fix the damage and she said they would give a goodwill payment of £80.14p. I am sure if I came to Nikkis house and ripped her bathroom apart for 4 weeks and say the job is finished she would be qually as happy. Avoid this company like the plague. they ring for money without finished job and cause major damage to your property, i found 2 people in Milton Keynes with same type of workmanship, I will post in every hassle free boiler link i can to let people be aware of how this company is operating. You have been warned.

United Kingdom | 16 June 2015This is my first poor review for Trust Pilot. Shame - but here it is:- Fill in the details online and within a couple of minutes your phone will ring. The Salesman is very polite and friendly and gives you a "Guaranteed" Price. This is after answering all his questions honestly and accurately. This included the details of the existing boiler and the fact that renewal is not urgent as it still works OK. An appointment is made and agreed for a surveyor to make a site visit. Two days later an email is sent with a discount offer on a control system, available on signing up for a new boiler. This offer expires before the site survey takes place. ??!!! The surveyor is very friendly, polite and seems to complete a thorough job. His price is £600 more than the "Guaranteed no extras" price given on the phone. This is apparently because the existing boiler " isn't the type we were expecting, it's a Powermax" The new price is written down on the back of a business card and we are not left with any paperwork with details. (Very Professional) The extra discount offer on a control system is not available. 6 hours later a demand to sign the contract is sent via email. This email is anything but friendly. British Gas have got our order. Their quote is made in exceptional detail and their "£400 back on your old boiler" is genuine. They are miles ahead when it comes to dealing with Customers and fished up £350 cheaper than Hassle Free Boilers. Summary. Broken Price Promises Unusable Offer Poor Admin Aggressive attitude to sign up the deal Better Service and Price available elsewhere As a reality check, I'll review British Gas once the boiler is installed.(Just to see if my expectations are met)
