Please do not use Hassle Free Boilers. My Father bought a boiler through them and was initially okay, however the services stopped, the contact was impossible. I used to think it was just him. He has recently passed away, the Hassle I have had with them, is second to none. They NEVER EVER answer the phone, do not call you back and when I asked for a settlement figure to clear it, I was asked when it would be paid as the figure would keep increasing (even though he has passed and I am awaiting probate). I have just paid this against my best wishes from my own savings just to get rid of them. Jacob is impossible to deal with, the phone number is a waste of space. "Hassle Free" Boilers is the most Oxymoronic name I have ever come across. I am furious!!

We have been paying this joke of a company for 9 years. We have not had our annual service since before COVID-19. I reported a leak to HFB in May 2024 and chased them up in June and the beginning of August. I get email replies fobbing me off that they are waiting for an engineer. There is no working telephone number! Last week the boiler failed. We are now stuck, paying a monthly fee with a broken boiler and no annual servicing. I will be getting legal advice to seek compensation and costs.

I had a boiler fitted with them, at the beginning everything was fine, then the servicing stopped and I had to keep emailing them to get them to come out, I've given up now and so it seems so have they. When there was a fault I was told to sort it myself via the phone but the biggest issue I have with them is, the charges they have added to my contract with no prior agreement. They said they wrote to me but can't say when and obviously can't prove it either so as a result, my balance of around 600 due to the number of years I've had it will now incur 3 x 175.00 different charges if I want to settle early

I have been trying to get anywhere with this absolute waste of space of a company. Many years ago my wife found these people who could replace our faulty boiler. Was initially happy with the process, sub contractor was brilliant installing it and apart from 1 issue (prior to covid) it was all fine. Post Covid , had 1 service , then nothing since. Been trying for over a year now to get a service and the constant low pressure issue resolved but the comunication with them is a joke. it feels like its a 1 man band broker that just arranges install and sits back and ignores your. I started an official complaint (via my emails because there is no official complaints form or telephone number.) I threatened to cancel payments, which appeared to prompt a few emails back and forth but it went nowhere. I have now followed through and have cancelled my direct debit to get something done. looks like I need to go to CAB and figure what to do next.

Now over two years since the last service, have been emailing them for a year and they promise the engineer will arrange an appt - nope, nothing. Have now told them we won’t be paying any further monthly payments until the service is done - let’s see how long it takes them to respond ! Up until a few years ago I’d have given a good review but now have nothing good to say. Don’t touch them. Update - it’s now two weeks since posting this - still no service appt booked. They keep promising but yet again nothing happens. Have cancelled the direct debit.

My late father had an account with them and was paying until he passed. We received NO payment demands in the mail for 3 years. NOTHING. Finally find out about the account and ask for settlement figure. This figure is full of errors and additional fees which do not apply. Since April trying to get questions answered. NO Phone call answers since then. No calls back. Emails ignored. Finally get sent the same error-strewn details from April. Ridiculous company.

Yet again I have waited 8 months to get my boiler serviced. I did manage to get a call from the Engineer who gave me one date when I happened to be on holiday - I was told i would have to wait until they were back in the area - that was 2 months ago with no correspondence from HFB. What do you have to do to get something you are paying for? Terrible Customer Service each time its a problem.

On about my 10th year of contracts. I would strongly advise against depending on this company for Boiler hire or care. I have two contracts with them and both of them are disappointing: They rarely service or keep service appointments for the boilers. Slow or non-existent repair, they left a cracked heat exchanger in situ for several months, as I understand this, it should have been immediately condemned and repaired. Boiler servicing is sub-par, left in a dangerous condition, one of my tenants have reported scalding and there still isn't any repair or action in this after several reports. If you are a Landlord who has a good reputation for caring for tenants, this is not the company to trust your reputation with. It would be wiser to just get a loan and buy a boiler outright, then access a maker-qualified engineer to service and care for the kit. Do give it a swerve, they are not worth risking your life or reputation with.

If I could give them less than one star I would. This company is appalling. I make a payment each month and despite endless chasing there was no service for 2.5 years. When they eventually did find out apparently the boiler needed repairing and it’s been a further 3 months of chasing to get an engineer booked in who just didn’t turn up and no contact from the company to say he wasn’t attending. Utterly appalling company do not buy a boiler through this company. I regret it.

No service in over 4 years, no reply to emails and can not get through at all on the phone!!! We now have an issue with the boiler and it won’t hold pressure, so no heating or hot water, been with them for 10 years and it’s just a joke, massive breach of contract on their part just not sure how we can get out of this now, any advice out there as we are at the point where we will have to pay someone to repair and service our boiler.

Still no response from HFB. Can't believe the 5 star reviews on this site, other review sites tell a different story, do not use this company if you want peace of mind for the safety of your family. Jacob was the the only guy responding, but has stopped responding no phone contact that responds either, I note a winding up order was put in place in 2019. Have they gone under perhaps a visit to the office is my next option, If it really exists. How they are getting away with this is beyond me.

Have boiler on 12 year contract that is supposed to include servicing of the boiler and central heating system. Nothing has been done for around 3 years despite repeated attempts and a no show.

RE complaint June 10th 2024.Suprise Suprise, Still no date for the supposed service, and issue, of the Safety Certificate which was due from the beginning of MARCH 2024. Could anyone advise me, who would be liable if an incident occured ( gas leak etc). WB Stoker
