Although Kenny couldn’t help due to time constraints, he did go the extra mile in offering invaluable advice, and did his utmost to offer all the help he could. Couldn’t ask for any more than that under the circumstances. Not the first time I’ve spoke to Kenny. He is a great asset to the organisation.

After paying off mortgage we required a solicitor to deal with our discharge forms, After a simple phone call to mcEwan Fraser everything was made simple, couple of emails & payment was all it took from our end, after which Declan Mculloch dealt with everything else until completion & simple email of confirmation & our full discharge.

Hassle free sale of my home from start to finish. James was very professional and had been a great consistent communicator throughout, going over and above my expectations by keeping in touch and listening to my views and wishes for my property sale. We have been using McEwan Fraser Legal on multiple occasions, for the sale and purchase of our property, and more recently for the discharge of the security on our mortgage. The solicitors are extremely competent and courteous. Declan, one of the Legal Assistants, has been dealing with our discharge the security and his communication was always prompt, keeping us updated on the process while we were waiting for it to be completed. James Milne, the Managing Director, has also been extremely kind to follow up over the phone after our initial enquiry and very swiftly sent us a quote for their services. We definitely recommend this firm and we won't hesitate to rely on their services again in the future.

McEwan Fraser Legal (MFL) handled the discharge of security on our property after the mortgage had been paid off. Although this took a few weeks (approx. 7!) due to information not forthcoming from the mortgage lender, not controlled by MFL, the process was smooth and without issue... also we weren't in any hurry. Further, being a previous MFL customer, a modest discount was applied to the cost.

I sold my house via this agent, in Tornagrain, IV2. Craig Peters was excellent at his job. He listened, he helped when things were getting sticky durign the sale when it was not his job to do so anymore, once things had been passed on to Legal. When I was losing hope about the process, he took time to visit me, just to put my mind at rest and listen to my concerns. I have my concerns with the all in one process - Estate Agency and Legal together - but with Craig supporting me the whole way, it was all smooth sailing. Thank you Craig, thank you Ben (though it was a bad time to go on paternity leave ;-) I think the service is more expensive than alternatives, but worth every penny to me.

We appointed McEwan Fraser in April 2023 to firstly sell our home, at that time and secondly, to negotiate the sale of a new build apartment. Both should have been straight forward but neither turned out to be. Andrew Darcy gave us expert advice regarding the sale of our property and we received an acceptable offer within 8 days of it going live on the market. Lewis Dobie then took over the legal aspects of matters which unfortunately went somewhat awry. The builders of our new apartment firstly made a mess of the foundations and set matters back by 3 months, this resulted in us missing our projected entry date and by the time matters were resolved the builders went into liquidation. Throughout all of this Lewis kept us informed and up to date with matters. In due course we ended up viewing and purchasing what is now our new home and again we received good advice from both Andrew and Lewis. Later problems with entry dates were also expertly handled. The only point I would raise against the company is that although Andrew Darcy came and advised on the property we were selling, we could walk past Lewis Dobie in the street, as we have never met him. First time we used McEwan Fraser Legal. First time I conducted a business arrangement from my armchair without having to visit the company office. Felt a bit strange but it was quite simple and must admit much preferable. Lewis Hay was our solicitor and communication was brilliant. We have used many solicitors in the past but will not go past this company for future contracts.

Gemma made moving home so easy. All emails were answered quickly with knowledge and professionalism.
