United Kingdom | 22 March 2015As the title suggests the problems I encountered relate solely to the service received after I placed my order. After waiting for 5 days with no update I rang to enquire what had happened and was advised that the item was out of stock and due to a problem with the suppliers it was not known when it would be sent to me, I did get an email which stated that the item would be chased and I would be informed by phone the next day as to when I could expect delivery. The next day came and went without any contact so I called again a couple of days later to be told that the item was actually in stock and should have been sent out to me but, for some reason this hadn't happened. It was immediately sent and arrived the next day however it was poorly packaged in that it was not wrapped in protective film but merely placed in a plastic grey postage bag - to my surprise it was not damaged. The towel rail is a good looking item with a high quality feel to it, the service having placed my order did not look or feel very high quality to me!

United Kingdom | 22 March 2015Bought Nevada bathroom cabinet, came in 2 boxes one of which was badly damaged, splashdirect arranged for replacement which was also damaged so they arranged for another replacement and again was damaged ( and didn't have additional packaging as they promised they would do to avoid damaging item) I then requested a refund which they agreed to last month - STILL WAITING! Sent email after email but we're ignored - raised a claim against them on paypal and they had the cheek to offer a partial refund which was £100 less than we paid - still trying to resolve. PLEASE AVOID

United Kingdom | 21 March 2015Purchased shower on January 4th. Finally delivered February 27th. Delivered entirely wrong shower enclosure and damaged shower tray and no riser kit. Finally got refunded 21st March!!! Hopefully they'll go out of business and disappear so that more reputable companies can trade!

United Kingdom | 18 March 2015I had a problem with an item purchased from Splash which was still under warranty and without too much fuss I was offered a refund, as the item was no longer available, which I accepted. That was back in January and I'm still waiting despite e-mail after e-mail. The one response I had was on 20th February saying that the automated payment system had failed and they would do it manually and I would finally get payment within 5 working days. Of course nothing has happened since then and I get no reply to my chase up e-mails either. I believe this may be a deliberate tactic so that customers just give up and don't get their promised refund. My advice, avoid this company. I have reported this to Trading Standards.

United Kingdom | 18 March 2015I ordered a shower screen and tray on the 10th March and paid £39.90 for next day delivery. The order arrived incomplete (screen but no tray). I called to ask why and when the tray was due only to be met by an unhelpful, unsympathetic and almost rude dismissal stating the tray was never scheduled for next day delivery. I was passed to a Customer Services Manager, who was equally unhelpful and dismissive whose argument was that their website stated that the tray would be dispatched within 4 days. I asked what the returns policy was and was told I was liable for returning any unwanted item. Having reviewed the website the following was apparent: Returns after 23rd February are free of charge for any reason so the returns information stated was incorrect and misleading; The website also states clearly in the Next Day Delivery paragraph that "If we have stock in our warehouse we can offer next working day delivery". The shower tray was (and still is) listed as In Stock so the clear indication and inference is that the item is available for next day delivery. When moving through the order process the page requiring address entry also asks for delivery method and offers Next Day. Having convinced me by this process that Next Day is both offered and available I selected this option. At the next page which showed my basket the Next Day box was still available for selection and duly ticked. I noted the two items were correct but failed to see the small writing which did, indeed, show the tray as Dispatched within 4 days. Every other page during the checkout process failed to display that the delivery would be split. At no stage did the checkout option allow a decision on whether to continue with the purchase despite the order not matching my chosen criteria. Therefore the website was misleading in its intent and failed to act in the best interests of its customer. I asked for a refund of my delivery costs which was refused. The delivery of the tray was clarified as dispatch within 4 days so delivery to be expected on Tuesday 17th March. No call or email was sent telling me that this new delivery was unachievable as they had issues with stock - despite the website showing it in stock. Since the company have suspended their number and moved to email only customer service with a hoped for response time of 24 hours, I sent an email requiring an explanation of why there was no delivery when stated on the 17th but was only answered late in the afternoon with “Unfortunately this has arrived in slightly later than anticipated we are getting the item in to us tomorrow, so it will be with you by the end of the week. I will try get it dispatched for Thursday for you but it just depends on what time the courier deliver to us tomorrow, if this isn't possible due to timing it will be with you on Friday”. I wrote another email to request an explanation of the companies position but, unsurprisingly, still await an answer. I asked for a call but they refuse to use the phone, merely hide behind the façade of customer support by email. Since I have had builders on site awaiting the (non) delivery of the tray I am out of pocket and there has been no such reply. I had several options for the screen and tray but was seduced by the promises on the splashdirect website. My strong advice is to avoid any dealings with this company whatsoever – if only for the reason that it is impossible to communicate with them. I will be passing the problem to my credit card company and writing to Trading Standards. My impression is that they don’t care. The saga continues: their response to my last email asking for the whereabouts of my shower tray just says they will let me follow up on my promise of dialogue with the Managing Director. Absolutely no information on the matter at hand - where is my shower tray! Customer service non-existent, addressing the issues for the customer non-existent. It seems to me that the attitude is deliberate. My advice, based on my experiences, is to stay away from this company. A further update: My review has been offline for a few days because Splashdirect reported my entry because it was non-compliant in that there was no proof of purchase! Interesting that the time of their report to Trustpilot was the day before they promised my delivery with an alleged tracking number check. Obviously nothing arrived. Further emails to Splashdirect have been ignored. Why is it that they have time to monitor Trustpilot and use the compliance process to stall reviews yet they don't have time to sort their customer service failings? Compliance duly restored with proof of purchase. 16 days and counting with no resolution. Again, I reiterate my assertion that in my experience this company is one to AVOID AT ALL COSTS?

United Kingdom | 17 March 2015Ordered 4 shower trays on 4th March. Heard nothing. Then company went email only (if I had known they were going to ditch the phone lines I would NEVER have ordered in the first place). Sent anout five emails, was told that courier company would call. They did. When they couldn't deliver. It was a kerbside only delivery, though the gent was good enough to get it to the house. The largest tray is chipped - I can see this while still wrapped on pallett. They are packaged in a woefully inadequate way - as the delivery driver said, "there is no way you shoukd send delicate items like that". I have yet to unpackage them, but have sent a photo of the damage straightaway. The service has been appalling and the communication dreadful. My advice is GO ELSEWHERE. The matter is, at present, in the hands of my credit card company.

United Kingdom | 17 March 2015I was under the impression that we would be given reasonable notice by phone prior to delivery. We received a phone call approx 20 minutes before delivery, and fortunately we were home and able to accept delivery. More notice is necessary to ensure there is someone available to accept items.

United Kingdom | 17 March 2015Great item & price, although unable to purchase waste for taps anywhere local. Delivery took 2 weeks and several phone calls (quoted 4 working days on placing order) Delivery servide advised they had tried to deliver but left no card.... they had not, then promised delivery for next day but it didnt arrive for another 4 days. I have to say goods from screwfix came next day. Sorry to say first & last time I will use this company. Even the customer service agent advised me on how poor the delivery agent was and that they" lied" on a regular basis. He words not mine. If you need goods in a hurry dont purchase from here. Sorry its a bad review but an honest one.

United Kingdom | 17 March 2015I found the Splashdirect website by chance and I'm so glad I did. A great range of bathroom items, many of which I had never seen before. I bought the snow white double maxi bathroom cabinet and it's brilliant - very good quality and easy to fit. Packing and delivery were good too! I'd recommend this company.

United Kingdom | 16 March 2015The product is good looking and though the first delivery promptly arrived it was damaged. However, this proves how good the aftersales is, because with a couple of emails and a photo image, a new replacement was ordered and delivered the following Monday! This is the kind of after sales everyone wants but very few companies measure up. Well done!
