The pods were delivered in a condition that was described by my neighbor as having fell off the truck and rolled down the highway. You charged me for days when the pod was empty and you refused to pick it up. Pods charged me for days they were closed and refused to pick up the empty pod. I was told someone would call me on the procedure to File a damage claim, and a week later I am still waiting.

We had pretty significant damage from both hurricane Helene and Milton in Clearwater FL so we had to move out and store our belongings in the front yard. We all know how contractors are as missing deadlines well ours was over a month past the contract and I am very grateful that PODS was able to keep pushing our pick up date back. Obviously I know they made more money but they had to find whoever had the 16x8s reserved and find something else for them 4 times So thank you

It got the job done. I stored all my stuff and it got delivered to my new address. Drop off and pick up was be relatively painless. HOWEVER... There are lots of little fees you might not know are coming your way at first. For instance, there is a $200 fee to get a street permit for your pod, and there is no way you can get the permit on your own, so make sure you factor in an extra $400 for before and after permits. Also, to schedule the pod I had to talk to about 4 different people who were all from call centers outside of the US and they all have me different information. I finally talked to one who was very helpful, but the first three were ambiguous regarding prices, times, etc. overall, it's a good system but it is NOT cheap and it can be frustrating dealing with the process. However, all of my stuff stayed in good condition after sitting it for 4 months and then having it delivered.

Delivery did not arrive in time . Indicated window of arrival time would be between 8:15-11:15 am . I contacted you guys around 1 and was told arrival would be no later than 4. Was never contacted again and delivery arrived the following day . Once we were set to move we were unable to get a date change accommodated. Due to the closing changing days we needed to reschedule , which was unsuccessful. We then attempted to see if we could empty the unit , have it picked up and brought back to a facility since we would not be at the new location yet. My wife spent hours of her time on the phone with pods customer service to be told that it was going to the new address no matter what . Overall horrific experience that brought on undue stress during one of the most stressful times . On an unrelated , non customer service related note the delivery driver was kind .

The POD was super easy to order online. Delivery and pick up times were done in a timely manner. Communication via email and text was wonderful. When I had questions, I called them and they were friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them and I would definitely use them again if the need ever arises.

We needed three of their 16ft containers to clear our house for some renovations. It was easy to book online and they showed up early on drop off day. After we were done we called to arrange pickup and it happened next day before noon. A side note: if you can't put your PODS in your driveway like us make sure you get an encroachment permit from your city to have them on the street. Makes life a lot easier.

A disappointing and nightmarish experience all around. Initial drop-off with the POD was fine, but when I opened it to start loading there was 2-inches of standing water inside and it reeked of cleaning chemicals. I immediately contacted PODS customer support, but was told that due to them being closed the next day I wouldn't be able to get a replacement until 2 days later. Not ideal as my father and I had both taken time off of work to get moved within the specified timeframe (Jan 28th - 30th). Only after I pushed for resolution (and was put on hold for 45 minutes) I was offered a discount of $600 for the loss of time. We wound up having to soak up as much water as possible with towels and use a fan heater to dry out the unit - losing an entire day of the 2-days I rented the POD. After speaking with the delivery employee, we were able to pinpoint that the previous customer who'd had the pod had left the doors open overnight, and the cleaning solution sprayed inside froze over due to below zero temperatures. Regardless I was able to get all of my belongings loaded within the (much shorter) timeframe and pick-up went off without a hitch. Later in the evening of pickup day I received multiple emails about setting my delivery date for the PODs final destination. I had already specified the date in my initial booking (February 11th) and was assured several times that it was available, so I was very concerned over why it was suddenly asking me to rebook. When I opened the website the only options available for delivery were in April. I immediately contacted customer support once more, as I have work equipment inside my POD that I was already pushing not having access to with the February 11th date. Matter-of-factly I was informed that due to my renewed quote (from an issue that they offered no real solution to) my delivery date had been deleted and I needed to rebook farther out than before. At this point I was so frustrated and drained from the entire experience that I practically gave up. I asked the support team member what my options were, as I was required to have access to my belongings before February 15th. I was told that I could make an appointment to access my POD at the Tacoma facility , and would need to rent a trailer/box truck to remove my items between the times of 8am-3pm. Luckily I wouldn't have to pay the $300 delivery fee! (Which would go towards the moving truck that I was hoping to avoid driving in the first place). The real kicker is that if I wanted to wait until a delivery date came available, I would have to pay the $298 monthly storage fee on top of all the other costs - essentially holding my belongings hostage and making me pay for their screw up. I will never recommend this company to anyone looking for a more hands-off moving option - this is the most I've ever had to talk to customer service in my life, and I literally used to work as tech support in college. I'm genuinely so disappointed. I have family members that have used PODs in the past without any issues, and as a single woman trying to move by herself across the state for work I thought this would be a great stress-free option. Overall I wound up paying for choosing this company dearly, and will in the future just risk driving mountain passes in the winter with a U-Haul.
