i ordered 6 bar stools and was told they would be delivered between 9 am and 1 pm. At 4 pm they were delivered. One of the bar stools were defective and I was instructed it was up to me to have another one delivered. Each of the bar stools had dry rotted rubber footing which fell apart and left a mess on the floor. I accepted that it did not affect the appearance of the bar stools and did not complain; however, when I called to have another delivered even though they failed to deliver it, they could not provide a morning delivery time. I was told it could be any time during the day since it depended on how the truck was loaded. Don't buy from these clowns. The web has a multitude of more fashionable furniture stores with dependable delivery.

07/19 I called for a warranty check on our mattress. The technician who came out said the ¾” + dip in the mattress was considered reasonable wear for that mattress, and showed us how to check the mattress. Our $1200.00 mattress has a 25yr warranty, purchased on 11/28/14. We sleep on this mattress that we consider shot giving us back aches and additional visits to the chiropractor until 10/15/19 when it meets criteria 1 ½” dip that the technician said was required for the warranty, we haul the mattress to the living room, dig out the camping air mattress. 10/16/19 I call Gardner White for a warranty and they explain that it has already been approved for a warranty exchange. I can’t believe they didn’t call and let us know, makes us feel as they are scamming on warranties. We go to the store Wednesday 10/16/19 to pick out an exchange, because they no longer carry that model. We pick out the model within the first 15-30 minutes and 3 different sale persons. We pick a mattress that cost $1599.00 that comes with a foundation at no additional charge and a 43” LED TV. Since we have to pay the difference in price we expect that package. The next struggle begins, we are expected to pay the additional $436.00 and we ONLY get the mattress! The TV we understood, but not the foundation. If we wanted a foundation we had to pay $150.00 and after she talked to the store manager $100.00 more. Needless to say I got on the phone with Serta and they explained that I had to work my way through the chain of commands until I could get no longer get any help and they would take care of the problem. They were also very helpful in the warranty aspect. The new mattress has a 10yr warranty, we had to get a note added that this mattress has a 20yr warranty to complete the original 25yr warranty. It only took 2.5hrs and delivery was scheduled for Friday. If hasn’t been unpleasant enough, the nightmare begins. Friday they call around 11am and leave a message there is a mix up they can’t deliver until later this evening, or would I like another delivery day. I call them back right away as I was just on another phone call. I leave a message that I need the delivery as I have already taken down the air mattress and stored it in the attic so I have nothing to sleep on. I receive no return phone call. I believe in my mind they will deliver Friday evening. I was mistaken. My husband calls around 7pm leaves another message, which is a waste of time as they never call back. I call back 45 minutes and go to customer service line instead of the delivery line and we are told the truck broke down and we would not receive our delivery today and promise delivery first thing Saturday and offer a Gardner White gift certificate for $50.00 like we would actually like to do business with them ever again. We decline the gift card. 8pm and they never bothered to call, just kept us waiting around, and now we have to figure out where we are going to sleep. Saturday arrives and they actually show up, with a mattress and no foundation. We decline delivery as we already went through the foundation issue at the store and do not want that battle again. We call the delivery line and customer service line repeatedly and get nothing but a run around for 1.5 hours to be given a BS answer that they cannot deliver today because it is a warranty exchange it needs to be authorized by corporate, it will take several hours and they will be unable to deliver until Sunday. I call them out because it should already be authorized as we were already scheduled for delivery. I ask what happened to same day delivery, more BS. I just give up and start writing my review as I have had heard enough.

Terrible customer service at 8 and groesbeck. The manager was supposed to call me back regarding a purchase made on Monday oct 14. Still no call. They told me the customer isn’t the most important thing to them. They will and still haven’t returned a service call three vm left. Dave is the manager. The only one that has tried to help is Lynn who wasn’t even part of the purchase. I will never shop there again

I purchased a Airloom mattress from the Gardner White Taylor Mi location (floor model) went to pick it up and was told they couldn't find it. Called the corporate office to get some assistance. I called the Taylor store and talked to the manager. Told me he found a BRAND NEW mattress at a different location. Three months later the mattress is flat as a pancake in the middle. Now im having back issues. What happen to honesty and professionalism? A waste of time and hard earned MONEY and my HEALTH!!!!

While the sales staff was good, delivery staff was rude and was extremely rushing to get through. We requested to have our existing sofa moved to garage and was a 2-min job. We even offered to pay for their service and take care of their lunch etc. The guy didn't budge and he was just trying to rush through to get to his next job. After having spend so much money and bought ALL of my furniture at Gardner-White, delivery guys could have been a bit more courteous but they didn't seem to care at all.

I have had an overall good experience with Gardner-White. The salesman was helpful and delivery service went pretty good - they seemed a bit rushed and not overly thorough, but ok. I have shopped other big name furniture stores mostly and I by far find Gardner White’s quality much better. Our furniture is beautiful and very comfortable.

Do not waste your money on the furniture protection plan! What a joke this is. I put in a claim on 8/29/19, today is 10/1/19 and I still do not have replacement of my dining room table and Mantel with fireplace. The Brighton store employees are incompetent and useless when it comes to helping you. I have left messages and called the store to speak to management since last Thursday only to hear the manager is not in today or she just left for the day we will leave a message. The receptionist should not even be working, she doesn’t have a clue what is going on! Completely frustrated with the whole ordeal and this store especially. Will never buy from them again and certainly wouldn't waste money on a so called warranty plan! Disgusted!!

The customer service I received at the Brighton store was awful. The day I waked into the store I new exactly what I was looking for a new mattress. I sales person Stephen did not ask me a single question ie. if is was a side sleeper or a back sleeper. His full intention was to sell. I was initially told the mattress I chose also came with a box spring. Which in fact it did not. I found out it did not at the time I was checking out, less than ideal timing! I was also talked into buying a mattress cover for $89.00. At no point was I told that the mattress cover was not returnable nor was I told that if I did not buy the mattress cover I would have not warranty on my mattress. The process of checking out was a 2 hour process. The lady at the desk which I later found out was a manger was nothing but rude. She was obviously training someone and I felt horrible for the person being trained because she was treated very unprofessionally, by not only the office manager but also by my sales person.I would have gotten up and walked out if I was being treated that way honestly. I purchased the mattress on a Friday and the following Monday I went back to the store to return the mattress pad because it definitely is not worth $89.00 and when I approached the customer service desk the lady who states she is the manager looked at me and immediately looked away like she didn't see me. I waited until another lady approached me and asked how she could help. I stated that I wanted to return the mattress cover and immediately your office manger snaps she will not authorize the return. I stated that I was not told it was not returnable. That it had not been used or washed. The lady who was originally helping me said that if I returned it that I would not have a warranty on my mattress. I told her I was never informed that I needed to buy the mattress cover to have a warranty on my mattress. She told me it was all in the contract that I signed. I have looked l through the contract and can not find where it actually does state this. Either way the customer service through this whole process that I have been provided with has been poor. I recently moved and need new living room and dining room furniture. At this pointe and the fact that I am not even happy with my new mattress from your store I will not be returning. If I may make a suggestion that the people who work in customer service be educated on how to treat customers, especially your manager at the back desk. She is a person that is representing your store and is giving your store a bad name by treating customers inappropriately along with other employees!

I have never been so unsatisfied with a company In my life. I financed a couch with a 12 month promotional and paid it off the day before it was due and apparently that isn’t good enough because I am now charged $202 for interest because it wasn’t paid on 9/3 when my payment isn’t due until 9/10. I spoke to finance customer service and they were no help besides telling me I’m out of luck and have to pay it regardless.

I have purchased a bedroom set about 3 weeks ago and we had originally set the delivery date for two weeks ago. Since my house was not ready for occupancy, we had to postpone the delivery for a week. However, last week that it was supposed to be delivered, we called Gardner-White in Canton and they said your bedroom set is sold out and you have to wait until next shipment!!! It seems that Gardner-White doesn’t care about the customers and after selling their products, they do not seem to be responsible. Nobody is responsible for this inconvenience. During last week we tried to find out what should we do but unfortunately nobody answered when our bedroom set will be delivered. Now that we are ready to move to our new house the bedroom set is not ready and we do not know what should we do. Now that I check the reviews it seems delaying and not responding is a routine for Gardner-White! I wish I had checked their review before buying something from them. We are still waiting to someone resolve our issue! New home without bedroom set such a painful experience!

I spent about 5 or 6 thousand on furniture. I was going to pay off the entire balance in cash but the sales guy convinced me in doing the 24 month 0% interest and I just got my bill after 15 months and was charged $600 in interest plus other fees. I called the same day and offered to pay the entire balance off and tried to get someone to fix the issue. Well after hours of calls and getting the run around no one could help. I paid off the entire balance off anyway but I'll never use gardnerwhite again for the rest of my life. I am literally in the middle of moving and need to spend around 10 thousand on new furniture and I'm so glad I didnt buy it at gardnerwhite because I would have been really mad if I dropped another 10k and then found out about all these extra charged they like to add for no reason. Apparently i found out that the 24 months of 0% was only for certain items i bought and certain items didnt have that offer but they never told me that as that's why i like to pay cash to avoid issues like this so they lost a lifetime customer and I will never spend another dollar there the rest of my life. I paid off the balance today which is 9-20-2019 and like I said I'll be going somewhere else from now on. If you do buy from them dont do the 0% interest deals they have as you will start getting fees for $600 and other fees even though the entire balance was literally paid off. It's cool I learned my lesson and will never do a 0% offer with them again. I will now cancel my account and go to art van or value city. The only good thing I can say is that I did like the furniture I bought and would have spent a ton of money there in the future but everything happens for a reason.
