United States | 30 November 2024Don’t buy from them! I used to have no problems with this company, but like the other reviewers are saying, something has changed. On my last order I was shorted one item on a buy one get two offer. They said they would replace the missing bottle but never did. I went ahead and placed one more order a week ago and I still haven’t received a shipping notice. I hope it eventually ships, but that was my last order with Puritan’s Pride.

United States | 29 October 2024I purchased a colon cleansing tea from Puritans Pride. It was on back order I didn't think much of it and when I finally received my tea, I was deathly ill. I didn't know what was going on, I didn't know it was the tea and 6 months later I got a letter stating the product was contaminated with e-coli poison. I almost died from it. I had test after test to see what was wrong before I got that letter. These people are very sneaky and they shouldn't be in business and shouldn't be allowed to hurt anyone ever again. They didn't ever take accountability for their actions or try to make anything right and for the last 15 years I have suffered from health conditions from my immune system being compromised. Shame on you and know that you won't and didn't get away with anything God sees everything and your time will come. I do not recommend Puritans Pride or any of their products. I hope this review can help someone out there from suffering the way I have.

United States | 27 October 2024I don't know what happened to these guys. There products are good, but their website and customer service are terrible. Since the website doesn't work much of the time, customer service is the only option to order something and that is now outsourced to another country. After five "verification" questions, they don't understand my question anyway!

United States | 27 October 2024I ordered three different items from them. Expiration dates on two of them were 30 months from now. Expiration date on the third was only six months from now. Obviously old stock. When I tried to email them with my complaint I was referred to a chatbot that told me to give a credit card number on a form and I would be charged $5.00 by something called Just Answer Experts which would later be refunded and I would be connected to someone to answer my question. Really !!

United States | 20 October 2024In the past, this company was my "go-to" for vitamins and supplements. Recently it seems that the items I need are always out of stock. I have found a very good competitor with similar items at a fair price.

United States | 07 September 2024I changed the payment information for an auto-ship order scheduled for 9/5/2024. I updated the payment information, and it was confirmed and accepted so I placed the order, the funds were debited from my account but the order still hasn't shipped out. I received an email at 8 p.m. on the evening of September 5, asking me to check my payment, and billing & shipping information because the order could not be processed, there was nothing different on any of the payment information, billing, and shipping address. I called customer service and spoke to a representative, that spent 45 mins on the phone with me trying to figure out why my order did not get processed. She had me re-enter my new payment information, and still no change to the order. I spent 45 minutes with her on the phone trying to figure out the issue. I checked my order history at 2:48 a.m. and it still shows pending even though my billing & shipping information is all up to date. This is not the first time I've had issues with delay shipping even after my payment was debited. This is the last time I'm making any purchases through the PP website, I will purchase their items through Amazon even if I pay a little more. I am giving a one star because of the customer service rep spending 45 mins. trying to figure out the issue.

United States | 17 July 2024This is the most disgusting thing in our 80's that we experienced!!!! We had to move to an independent living facility SO we had to change our mailing address. I tried ALL DAY yesterday to get that done, could not, treated as if I was a SCAM disgusting. For ALL the years we have been a customer, it's terrible, all the money we've spent buying all our drugs. disgusting. SO if your moving? Be sure you have ALL the info like an invoice #er? which we wouldn't have as all mail in email. which is deleted. and anything else you can think of as they WON"T believe you OR look at your account disgusting. So I've blocked them will find another place to get ALL our over the counter drugs and trust me they will be OUT of a lot of money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

United States | 19 June 2024I used to order from Puritan nearly monthly. I realized I had so many supplements stocked up so I stopped around 2021. It came time to order again and I saw the newer reviews… naturally I was pretty nervous. I’m not going to discount those reviews but only share my experience. I put in an order for $65 (all the same item) and made sure to go through PayPal so I had some buyer protection. I did not get a ship notification or any type of confirmation. I signed in on Puritan and saw my items were “shipped” but it was still “processing”. It had an arrival date of June 22nd which was 13 days out from my initial order. Today June 18th I saw the Puritan package 📦 on my doorstep and I checked the contents, everything was ok. The bottles are no longer heat shrinked at the neck and instead only have a one-step freshness barrier - a seal. They used to have both. I’m not too concerned but it looks like a step down in quality. One star is deducted for that and the failure to communicate shipping information. I imagine if something major happened I’d be forgotten about. I’m glad I did this order but it’ll be my final order from Puritan most likely. For alternatives, Spring Valley at Walmart provides affordable supplements and Swanson is also a good company to deal with. Hope this helps.

United States | 18 May 2024WARNING: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Placed order and sent money. They did not send product saying it was out of stock. Refused to refund my money. Buyer beware

United States | 23 April 2024I have been a customer of Puritans Pride for over 30 years. The last few years, they are continually out stock. It steadily gets worse. I feel so disappointed when they advertise sales but are out of what I want to by. I've switched over to Swanson.

United States | 28 March 2024Puritans pride is now owned by the Carlyle group. A private equity company that is only interested in PROFITS. Avoid this and all other businesses owned by private equity. They are plunderers and Carlyle among the worst

United States | 26 March 2024customer service used to sound great. at puritans pride they used to ask my name my account number or phone number. something is wyears rong aotot puritans pride . I got upset that certain hard pills were going soft 2 years before the expiration date. I got tired that puritans pride was sticking magnesium stearate in most of their pills.i don't need 80 pills per day with fillers. with puritans pride which is owned by Nestle company and I was told Carlyle is also owned by Nestle Carlyle also sticks magnesium stearate in most of their vitamins. 2025puritans pride and Carlyle don't make it easy to get your money back. it is now March 25 2024 and I have 6 bottles of horse Chestnut vitamins that have been going bad for months.the vitamins october 2025. puritans pride says we guarantee the product 90 days. I never knew that and puritans pride does not throw out their returns but reship almost expired products to their customers. if the product has 6 months left on the expiration date the product is probably at least 2 years old and they will stick their customers with the product. a few years ago puritans pride took back my returns but gave me little money. puritans pride stuck me with soft b50 caplets and 6 bottles of caplets that were soft. they want to give me a 20 dollar credit. I had points on previous orders but puritans pride did not say they expire at the end of the year..puritans pride has to give low dosages and tiny bottles to give lower prices. every bottle needs review. not an honest company and a greedy company.

United States | 20 February 2024Most of the vitamins I have purchased from them over the years have titanium dioxide and magnesium stearate in them. One is an anti-cancer agent, and the other is for color. Both are linked to harmful side effects and should not be added to vitamins that are being ingested for health reasons. I have thrown out hundreds of dollars worth of vitamins because of that reason.
