United Kingdom | 18 September 2024Given the prices charged by Darlings, their service is poor. Our order of a sofa bed had the delivery date pushed out, and then still didn’t arrive at the new date. When I asked for confirmation of when the item would actually be delivered (as we had guests coming), I was rather rudely told that I should have informed Darlings of the date that it was needed by. The reason I had not done this is that, had Darlings met either the first or even second promised delivery dates, this would not have been an issue. This fact seemed lost on the staff at Darlings. And then, once the item was delivered, it turned out one of the feet had been drilled incorrectly, necessitating someone coming to our house to repair it. After all this chaos, Darlings agreed to refund the 75 pound delivery fee. When this had not been received after several weeks and lots of chasing, I eventually made a GDPR Subject Access Request in exasperation. The information returned shows that Darlings only started the process of refunding once this had been chased several times. Perhaps we should have known all this from the start - when we visited their Parsons Green showroom one Saturday afternoon we were totally ignored by the staff there. The idea of speaking to a family of four seeking to spend more than two and a half thousand pounds was seemingly too much effort for the showroom staff. So in summary - products are passable; service is lousy. Avoid.

United Kingdom | 17 September 2024The sofas (we purchased two and a storage footstool) are really lovely good quality, we did not try them before ordering but not disappointed with the product at all. The delivery organisation leaves a lot to be desired. We were not made aware that the order which we placed was split into two. When we were notified of the delivery of the order (only order number referenced) we had our existing sofas removed only to find on the delivery date the footstool arrived. After a number of phone calls delivery was organised for a week later (the two orders had not been matched). A week later on the due delivery date nothing! after another round of phone calls delivery was promised for the following day which it was. As I said the product is excellent just the administration and organisation

We bought sofas from the Studio range, quality seems very good, hopefully they endure the test of time. One of the sofas was missing a foot when delivered, but the issue was resolved in a matter of days! Very good experience overall.

United Kingdom | 11 September 2024Terrible customer service. So many wasted hours trying to contact them and get a refund for a sofa that was delivered broken. Took about 2 months to fully resolve I'm still out of pocket for window removal costs they refused to cover - despite having sent a broken sofa. In reply to below... Yes you did offer us earlier dates that's very true (the day before and the day before that). So rather than 2 months to resolve it too 1 month and 28 days, I stand corrected. Also we agreed very reluctantly to pay for the initial window removal after (almost) 2 months of back of forth emails where you pulled the same kind of tricks as you did just there pretending you offered us an earlier collection date just selecting the facts you wanted to try to get out of paying for anything at all.

They delivered a faulty sofa and then tried to blame us for it being broken, despite a third party confirming a manufacturing fault. The whole thing took almost 2 months to resolve. They took ages to come and collect their broken sofa and we are still out of pocket as had to pay for window removal which they refused to reimburse. I would avoid this company and wish someone warned us.

I asked the lady for assistance and a few mins into our conversations after answering a few questions she slowly edged away and disappeared . I went expecting excellent customer service because the sofas I wanted to buy were not cheap

United Kingdom | 04 September 2024I wasnt pressured, the store colleague assisting me was helpful, interested but not pushy or 'sales orientated'. I visited the store 3 Saturdays in a row (!) Firstly to sit/relax on every single sofa, carrying cushions around to check colours and armed with a tape measure. Second time to consider the many fabrics and leathers - the huge samples that you can lay on a table and get a really good idea of were so helpful - and to take a few selected (smaller) samples home, to see how they looked with my carpet and walls in every light. The last time was to make sure I had made the choice that was right for me, my home, lifestyle and budget before placing the order. At no point did anyone roll their eyes at me or say they might sell out if I didn't make up my mind or I would miss some 'special' deal. The colleague helped allay my fears over dimensions & delivery, and book an access check (again no pressure, that was all from me, but I slept well knowing it would fit). And even better, my sofa was made in the UK, so not sitting on a shipping container enroute from elsewhere, so the expected delivery date was the actual delivery date. The delivery company were vocal about when they would arrive and were quick and efficient. They arent the least expensive store you can find, but then the service (and my lovely leather sofa) have been worth every penny spent. I didnt wait for months for delivery, just the agreed 8 weeks, and the sofa itself matched the great sales service.

We were kept well informed about delivery details and everything arrived just as expected. We love our new sofas and think Darlings of Chelsea offer good value for money.

Our sofa arrived on time ,the delivery team were cheerful,helpful and took the time to set up and place the corner sofabed in the exact position it needed to be in. We have been very pleased with Darlings of Chelsea and would recommend them above all the others that we have tried or had dealings with in the past.
