United Kingdom | 08 November 2023I ordered a bed with a headboard and mattress. The service was simply disgusting, the manager didn’t care about my order so much that it was like hitting a wall. For 2 weeks, the manager openly lied to me that my order had been sent for delivery service and they would contact me within 48 hours. 48 hours lasted 2 weeks! Until, in the end, I received a letter on the store layout that my order had been transferred for delivery. I immediately called the phone number indicated in the letter and found out that my order had been transferred to the delivery service only 5 minutes ago and they would contact me within 48 hours. The next day I received a text message that I should call myself and arrange delivery and if I didn't do that, from a particular day I would pay a fee for storage. I have never seen such disgusting service anywhere! As a result, I received my bed for which I paid more than 2500 pounds not in 6-8 weeks, as expected, but in 11. What about the item itself? Despite that I'm overall happy with the bed - the size, shape and appearance are as expected, I discovered at least 3 manufacturing errors - one of the drawers is a little stuck, the pillow on the headboard is sewn slightly crooked and too low, so there is not enough room for the mattress, it does not go under the pillow as it should and hangs from the base of the bed on the opposite side. One could not pay attention to these little things, but taking into account the cost and terms for completing orders, such errors are more than unacceptable. The only good thing - the mattress is super comfortable! 100% satisfied. This is where the advantages end. I highly do not recommend this shop. Service and quality do not match the price!

Late delivery Poor customer service Lack of any communication from anyone. Ie we had to call them constantly. Was not going to post a review but heard from another customer that they had experienced exactly the same and would never buy from Darlings again. So both of us are looking to buy another sofa but we will not go to Dalings.

Sofas arrived and we were surprised to see the colour of the plinth was not what we had seen in the store. We ordered a ‘grey wash’ which we were shown in the store but what arrived was not the same colour. In fact we received a silvery grey which does not work well in our living room. When we debated this, we were told that we would need to pay £450 to get it changed. No budge. Just pay up or nothing. We have heard comments from staff since, like ‘colours vary by manufacturer’ and that it was ‘unprofessional to say that we could stain them ourselves if the colour wasn’t right’ - you can’t stain them. Escalated to a manager. Who went on holiday and then hasn’t called us back on day he arranged. Email from customer services came through instead, but now this person is on annual leave. We have been polite and patient throughout, but when you spend a fortune you would expect a little more ‘haste’ in responses. (Weeks have passed) I have pictures of what we were shown in the store. A lightly ‘washed’ natural wood and, of course, what we received - A hard, potentially veneered silvery grey. If you bought a car for thousands of pounds and it turned out to be a different colour, you’d be pretty upset if they said ‘colours differ from what is available to view in the store’ which of course no even told us anyway. I had (probably an automated email) asking me for a review. So here it is. Mis-sold Poor customer services And our problem not theirs. - as mentioned in other customer feedback. Unless this is resolved quicker and for free, we will have to seriously consider the next step.

United Kingdom | 26 October 2023Service was a little disjointed. Delivery was expected in October but was brought forward to end of September. Our room wasn't ready for delivery until the expected date. I was told we would have to pay storage! I disputed it and wasn't charged but still not great. Sofa good wouldn't want to have paid more than sale price though. Be aware of their return policy too there's a high charge to return the sofa of 20% of the value of each item returned.
