A very good experience generally. Though expensive. We picked out a beautiful sofa bed with the assistance of some very helpful sales advisers in the lovely show room in Surrey. The item arrived in good time with no hassle. The only issue we had was when the delivery company called me at first- they appeared rather inflexible on dates. Having not been able to fit in with their schedule, I got a much better response from the agent who dealt with my second call who provided me with much more flexibility and arranged a date according to my availability rather than that of the delivery company. The delivery men were very good with getting the sofa bed into the house and appeared professional. It looks great and I would use Darlings again.

We chose our Darlings of Chelsea sofa and chair from their online webpage without ever actually seeing it. But our experience of Darlings was brilliant. We did have a slight problem with the delivery, but it was quickly sorted out and our furniture arrived on time and its feet installed by the brilliant men from Atlas. The actual furniture breaths quality and as well as looking good its wonderful and comfortable. So all in all happy to recommend Darlings to anyone wanting quality furniture.

I wanted a double size sofa bed , hadnt realised how difficult this was to achieve, I then found Darlings . A wide selection of styles & sizes , I found exactly the one, from ordering to delivery everything went very smoothly . Customer service were quick to answer & readily answered & addressed my queries. The sofa bed I chose is a perfect fit Opens & closes smoothly , no fuss , no cushions to store when open as a bed . All in all very happy & would recommend.

Sofa was fine, but we hadn't realised that it wasn't modular so we had to pay £780 to have it disassembled and rebuilt inside the house. Very little explanation was given over the phone and when I suggested (calmly) that we would have liked to have known when we purchased that this would be one piece I was met with a really defensive response. It's an unfortunate ending as they were helpful and responsive up until the point where this happened.

When your guests say its the best sofa-bed they've ever slept on, you know you've made a great purchase. I'll be honest when we thought about changing out the bed in our "spare" room, it made so much sense. Working from home means that a big section of the room was being taken up by something that was only used occasionally. It felt like we were making compromises every day for guests who weren't even there. We'd also had the experience of investing ALOT in a sofa-bed years ago and it still wasn't comfy, so much so we got rid of it. Hence it felt a big decision to go again. At every step Darlings of Chelsea were first class. The ordering, the amount of samples, their patience, their flexibility, the product itself AND their people are absolutely brilliant; super friendly and "can do". (shout out to Harriet!). Just an all round great company. We wouldn't hesitate again.

First, credit where it's due. Great products, great showroom, lots of choices in terms of finish, and generally, everything appears to be relatively high quality. But the lethargic salesforce is very slow to get back to you. I have been waiting for 3 - 4 days for someone to get back to me, confirm a delivery timeframe, and take my money. Honestly, I've never seen anything like it. I am trying to buy and pay, but it's impossible. Needs much better management so that everyone is not asleep on the job.

The sofas look great and everyone at the store was lovely. However, while the company is considered relatively high end, we were surprised to find out that the piping they use is made of plastic fibres. This is not something we were happy with as, with time, the plastic dries up and can pierce the fabric. In parallel, while the company advertises "handmade bespoke sofas", their manufacturing process is actually very rigid. The manufacturer said they were unable to use any piping other than the specific one they stock. I tried to offer multiple solutions ranging from providing my own piping to them making the sofa without cushions. Neither the manufacturer nor the customer service reps problem solved. When I called to ask about the cancellation process, the customer service rep told me the sofa I had ordered was considered a clearance item. According to the company's FAQs, this should mean we could cancel the order until before delivery and get a full refund including the delivery fee. I even probed and asked what a bespoke sofa was. The answer was that a bespoke sofa is one where the customer provides their own fabric, which we did not do. Needless to say the company are holding a 10% fee to cancel. Addition on 4 March: I should also say that, on requesting for information about the cancellation process, the customer service rep said straight away that they were saddened to hear that I wished to cancel. I replied saying that I first wanted to understand the cancellation fees and then decide if I wished to cancel. The next email from the customer service rep confirmed both that they would keep the 10% cancellation fee (despite the discussion described above) *and* that the refund request had been put through. I would probably have cancelled anyway but they sure skipped a process step there of me, *having the cancellation fee details*, formally confirming I would cancel. Further addition of 4 March 2025: I forgot to say that it was during a call on Saturday 1 March that the customer advised the sofa was a clearance items. They also said that there should not be a cancellation fee but they wanted to check with management to be "double sure".
