I love the sofa bed and was also very relieved to have it delivered and assembled and only then signing off on our purchase.

United Kingdom | 04 April 2023Untrustworthy company... I purchased a couch from Parson Green on 19 Jan and I still haven't received the item. I did not realise the opinions are so different with Trustpilot and Google review. I trusted the reviews from trustpilot and thought I could give it a go. However, this is a true disappointment. They are charging premium price so you would expect more from them. I can reassure you this is not what you will get from the service. I had to keep asking for the delivery date and they keep postponing to the week after. Would never purchase from them again. My reply: The team should not say that things are outside your control. They chose the suppliers and partners. I’m not the first one who have this experience. It is totally Darlings of Chelsea responsibility if they keep using the same supplier, despite how many issues they have had.

Chris in the Surrey showroom was excellent and helpful but unfortunately it all went downhill after the purchase was made. After much to and fro on the delivery date and miscommunication on their end meaning I had to write several emails to Darlings of Chelsea on my honeymoon, we finally had our sofa delivered on March 15. Unfortunately, the large L shape cushion of our brand new white sofa had several small marks/stains on it when delivered. It was unwrapped in front of us and the delivery driver went out of his way to wash his hands before opening so it wasn’t him. I immediately emailed the company and ensured the stains were recorded on the delivery confirmation to show I did not accept the quality of the sofa delivered. I was also given different coloured wooden legs to what I was shown in the show room - apparently the sofa leg colours had been updated online but not in the actual store. Despite immediately asking for a replacement L cushion, I was refused and told by the customer service agent I had to first try a professional cleaning service they recommended. I repeatedly asked for a new cushion instead given the thousands of pounds I spent on this sofa and was told no, so I had to wait ten days for a technician to come visit. Ironically, the technician who treated the stains only made things worse. Now instead of a few small marks on my sofa, there are two huge water/steam stains that have only pronounced the existing stains the cleaner was meant to treat! I once again emailed Darlings of Chelsea immediately with multiple photos and was simply told they were ‘investigating a replacement’. I of course was dissatisfied with this response as it was unclear if the cushion would be replaced, and the general lack or urgency in dealing with this issue. I received a rather curt reply stating she was ‘merely investigating getting the cushion replaced’ but it has now been a week since they have started ‘investigating’ and almost three weeks since the sofa was delivered, yet I have received no update on when to expect a replacement. This is the first time I have splurged on an expensive sofa and am overall incredibly disappointed by the lack of expedient customer care provided by the company. I asked from the start for a replacement and was told no, and when the stains were made even larger by a cleaning company they forced me to use, there was no apology or recognition for making me go through this absurd process. I’m still waiting to hear back about when I can even expect a replacement and requests to escalate to a manager have been left ignored. Really disappointed by this whole experience, I expected better for the price point. I was also told any discussion of compensation is off the table until I’m satisfied, which at this rate will likely be months. I really wish my experience here had been different and now instead I have two huge stains on a white sofa right right before my housewarming.

Seat cushions very firm need to allow for this as showroom sofas have been sat on many times and softened those one.

Mo at the Solihull branch was fantastic in giving us time to browse yet very approachable and helped us finalise our choice, advised on colour, material and helped us to select the most suitable sizes to create the corner sofa for our room. The sofa has exceeded our expectations and is certainly a cut above the other companies we dealt with. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Darlings of Chelsea in the future.

United Kingdom | 23 March 2023Just 18 days after we paid in advance for our sofa the price of all sofas was reduced in a huge sale by 35%. We felt the forthcoming sale could have been mentioned at the time of purchase.Darlings representative explained that he was unaware of the imminent sale. Also, after waiting 10 weeks for delivery we were advised that the sofa would be delivered during a particular week, in two weeks time. That week came and went and we heard nothing from Darlings. We had to chase them up the following week and were then told the delivery would not come that week either. The sofa finally arrived the week after that. Poor communication and poor delivery information. Expected better service from Darlings.

The only complaint we have is the arm caps are not great. They don't fit the sofa arms properly so they keep moving and they are too short as they don't cover enough of the arm.

The sofa was delivered one month earlier than expected and the lovely deliverymen managed the tight access with ease, set it all up and took away the packaging. The sofa itself is extremely good quality and so comfortable! It's really transformed our living room.

Assistant Showroom Manager, Sherif Abbas, is an excellent professional and I cannot praise him enough. The services we experience at the showroom on the Boxing Day, handling on enquiry about payment process, partial refund request (it was my bad, as I accidentally overpaid the first instalment...) and further communication for delivery.... Very professional, prompt, and clear guidance. The products were made and delivered much earlier than initially told. I also praise the delivery+assemble team who was on time, quick and clean instalment. We love this sofa and fit perfectly well in our lounge. It has become our focal point and one of the best item we own.... Thank you Darlings of Chelsea for this enjoyable journey of purchase.
