She kept me fully informed re the manufacturing dates and finally, for the delivery. The delivery company were also first rate and the two delivery chaps very quickly installed it in the room where I wanted it. Excellent all round. Thank you.

United Kingdom | 01 March 2023We are having an awful experience with Darlings of Chelsea. We bought a sofabed on the 30th of September and the estimated delivery was 8 weeks after (mid November). Before Xmas (11 weeks) we received an email announcing that our sofabed was ready (great news, a bit of delay but nothing more!). We got the sofa the same day we were travelling for the Xmas break, so we could not try it properly. When we came back from holidays, two weeks later (and no communication from Darlings of Chelsea in the meantime) we noticed that the mattress was not the one we paid for, but the default cheaper option. After contacting the company they told us that “This was due to a shortage and to ensure delivery we supplied a pocket sprung so you were able to use the sofa bed.” First thought to be honest is that, from a professional service I expect that BEFORE sending a wrong product the customer is advised… perhaps were they thinking we would not notice? Then we were ensured that we would get our memory foam mattress by end of January, which became end of February which now became mid-March (that if ever really happens would be 23 weeks after we paid for the sofabed. I work in a completely different sector but these kinds of “mistakes” and “delays” need to be compensated and the client cannot be left just with a sentence such as “apologies, unfortunately it has been out of our control”. I hope Darlings of Chelsea will start to treat their customers better and they need to be held accountable for these situations. (I also hope to have my product soon as the spring mattress is really uncomfortable and we had paid for another product) My order number is #100030771.

I also needed extra material from the boucle fabric to cover a foot stool which was sent from the same batch. Everything arrived so much sooner than expected and it is a beautiful item and a supremely comfortable sofa and as a sofa bed excellent too. It is a real showpiece, as well as being practical, and one to treasure.

Still look great and the family friendly linen fabric has worked well against family stains. Had them for 4 years now and only recently thinking about getting them cleaned.
