Excellent all round. Mo, the Sales Consultant at the Solihull branch was of great help in us deciding which sofa and leather to choose. The sofa was ready in six weeks, exceeding expectations. The delivery chaps were polite and helpful. And, most importantly, the sofa is great. The adage ‘you get what you pay for’ is certainly true in this case. Btw, we went for the Ashdown in the timber buffed saddle. The only thing Darlings could improve on is more branches - at least one closer to Stoke!

The sofa is amazing quality, I’ve had so many compliments about it. It’s comfy, stylish and the fabric is so luxurious, I can’t praise it enough. It was easy to put together (we were moving into a new house so had to store it for a few weeks at my parents’) and was packaged so well so nothing was damaged. Delivery team was really lovely too. Sales team the Birmingham showroom when I popped in to first look at the sofa were so kind and helpful. Really thrilled!

I purchased a Lincoln 2 seater sofabed in hardy linen, foam seat cushions (I hate plumping feathers) and a memory foam mattress. I ordered online. It was easy to get fabric samples and the website had lots of detail and options. Very few printed fabric options though. Ordering was easy and communication was good. Pricing I would say was mid range. Delivery was well organised and the delivery men polite and helpful. Fabric looked slightly shinier than the sample but I have assumed this is because it is stretched over the frame? The metal action bed with memory foam mattress is comfortable and easy to pull out. However as soon as I put the seat cushions on the sofa my heart sank. They did not meet the back of the sofa especially in the corners. We decided to wait and see if the cushions would settle into a better shape but after two weeks (we use it every day) the huge gaps are still there. I got in touch yesterday and sent photos, so far response has been good and I have been told someone will look into it today. Till it's sorted I am having to put huge scatter cushions in each corner to cover the gaps, not ideal as it's a very small sofa anyway. Would be interesting to know if anyone else has had this issue? UPDATE: Customer services were really responsive and sent new cushion covers and an 'expert' to fit them. Unfortunately it hasn't made a whole lot of difference. Disappointed.

I bought a sofa bed from the clearance section of Darlings - I was delighted with the quality. I did pay to have an access check as I wasn’t totally sure it would fit into the room through the doorframe, which was really worth doing and it did go in! Great customer service and the quality is excellent.

Purchased the Kingston Grand Sofa with large footstall from clearance in August. Added a love seat to match. Have been storing for a while, hence slow review. The team at Darlings were excellent - particularly Emily. Really pleased with the furniture now we are finally using it. Found Darlings by chance but had been looking at an alternate supplier before I did who were quite frankly trying to rob me! Darlings were clear and up front in their product and costs associated with any choices made. Delivery team were excellent on both occasions.

A new sofa is a huge investment for many people. I chose Darlings of Chelsea as their furniture appeared well-made. After agonising for hours over my selection, I finally chose one that would total approximately 2750 in total with delivery, 5 year protection and removal. As it was very late, I decided to sleep on it again. The sale listed ends on Wednesday so I felt comfortable in doing this. The next morning, I found an email from the company with my saved basket and the above pricing. However, when I tried to buy it I found the price had increased in 12 hours by hundreds of pounds. Now I feel reluctant to buy from this company. Why have a sale end date if you won’t honour it? Why send my basket to me when that will not be the price 12 hours later. Awful. UPDATE: The basket was not “misread” as quite passively aggressively stated. The tax was apparently not included which is very strange as VAT is included in the price as standard in the UK. Claim that VAT was “calculated at the bottom” demonstrably untrue as I have the email. Quite unsatisfactory explanation and couple pounds knocked off. Also, they had apologised for the error and promised to escalate it but here deny an error at all? Loaf seems to have transparent pricing so will try there. Wish Darlings of Chelsea would refrain from rudeness to customers in a public forum.

Martyn Haydock made the whole process a pleasure. We had only popped in to take a look but he was so helpful and knowledgeable, we bought 2 sofas there and then. He followed up at every stage, kept us informed and the delivery was earlier than expected, which was a bonus.

Lovely sofa. One star off for lack of delivery flex, and lack of delivery notice, which meant we had to pay for a week’s storage. We were then told to pay the storage fee when in fact we’d made the payment a week previously. Not great customer service.

Super happy with our sofas and would definitely recommend Darlings to anyone. Chris could not have been more helpful and he was incredibly patient. We spent hours trying to choose from the huge selection of fabrics and he didn’t bat an eyelid even when I changed my mind on the fabric the next day. Delivery guys were also really friendly and considerate.
