I went to purchase a car from the Preston site on the original advert it stated the vehicle has 1 owner and full service history. When I viewed the car in person I then was told it had 3 owners and only 1 service had be documented. On viewing the car we also noticed that there was badly previous body repairs been carried out and once I had started to look into the car doing a hpi check this also had outstanding finance on the car which also was not disclosed by the site. When I asked for me deposit back I was refused avoid at all costs.

New Car Day. Whoohooooo. This is our 2nd car from HPL. This time round, we were met by the lovely Brian. He was professional, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He didnt make us feel pressured at all. Brian is a credit to the HPL team. Unlike other car sales companies, at HPL you feel free to just look around without being mithered. You are offered a drink to take outside while you browse. Its just a really pleasant experience from start to finish. Today we collected our car, it had all the jobs done that were discussed on the previous walkaround and it was immaculate and clean. The only thing missing was a bow :) thanks again HPL. Christopher Warren at Preston was very helpful with no pressure in buying a car, just offered us a cuppa and let us have a look at the cars by ourselves. I did find a car I liked and within 10-15min I was test driving it. Everyone at HPL Preston is friendly and also my partner is now looking for a car so we will be visiting again shortly now I have my car. We will be definitely asking for Chris again. I would recommend atleast a visit and judge for yourself.

I recently bought a 22-reg Mercedes GLA 200d Sport Executive with 10,500 miles on the clock from HPL Preston. The car was immaculate. For my trade-in (a Peugeot 3008), they gave me the price they had agreed over the phone, without quibble (even though it had some scratches that didn’t show up on the photos) and it was about the price which I expected to get, so I was happy with that. Their salesman (Simon) was a good guy to deal with. Very friendly and helpful. It was a very good experience and I’m very happy with the car that I bought from them. They even dealt with DVLA to report that I’d sold my Peugeot.

I didn't ultimately buy a car from HPL Motors but found them to be responsive, helpful and truthful when describing condition of a car I was interested in. Ended up buying local but would not hesitate to look at HPL Motors again when back in the market for a used car.

Bought car in December 2022 for £11,000 with 34,000 on the clock. Nothing but problems, as follows: 1. The 'spare key' which was evidently the previous owners main key (due to how worn it was) had a flat battery 2. Within two months there was a noise coming from the left rear side, car was still under warranty booked in with the service team, to be told that there was no noise - helpful. 3.The rear back left light has failed, on inspection the rear light bulb holder socket and plug have both burnt out, causing the whole light fitting to fail. 4. Drivers side windscreen wiper fallen apart. 5. Booked my car in to replace brake pads (8 months following HPL's service) to find that no locking wheel nut has been provided with the car. Contacted HPL to be advised that there is a note on file to say it is in the boot - as you may have guessed, it was not in the boot, hence my phone call to HPL Service. HPL last used the locking wheel nut to carry out their service at the time of purchase, it has never been used since. I was advised I must have misplaced this, and that unfortunately I will need to pay for the wheel locks on all four tyres to be replaced. Avoid purchasing your car from here.

David K (Dai) helped us find the perfect car for the wife. Can honestly say, if it was not for Dai we would of not purchased a car, we only ended up at HPL because the car place we came to see was closed. fate :) nothing was to much trouble for Dai, not to pushy, give us time to decide, and made the whole experience at HPL perfect. make's a cracking cup of tea too.

Very impressed with the service received. Brian Caldy helped us out throughout the whole procedure and was very professional and courteous, nothing was too much trouble even running us to the Post Office to get our new car taxed. Would definitely use again and can recommend.
